ABOUT SIX WEEKS BACK IN ARTHUR MCDOYLE'S HOUSE..."OK?" Mabel questioned with the disinterested look of someone who had just spent her time explaining all the good parts of a masterpiece she was trying to sell and knew she was about to be asked some really annoying questions which she wouldn't very much care to answer. "For one thing, we're still going to need to communicate. For another thing, how the hell am I supposed to get into his car?" Arthur said "Also, why the hell do you have to lie to him about me trying to steal money? Did you stop to think that, I don't know, maybe I could lose my freaking job??! The same job you gave the whole speech about the importance of our holding on to!!" Arthur paused again then continued "Also, why on Earth would Chris Bolton come running to your rescue after all you've done to him? I mean, no offense, but if I were him, I would most certainly freaking leave you to have your brains blown out or your guts ripped out without blinking a damn eye
Chris Bolton stared out the window of his car with his hand under his chin as his guard and driver for the day sped through the roads with practiced ease. He appeared calm and reasonably thoughtful to the innocent passerby and onlooker but in reality he was freaking scared and worried out of his mind. He hoped with all had that Mabel Sanders was fine. The woman was a freaking devil but she had sounded so shaken and scared out of her mind. As he stated out the window he imagined every worse case scenario he could possibly meet when he got to the Rum n' Euphoria bar. What if he got there and saw her pinned up against a wall by her attacker as he squeezed the life out of her? Or what if he got there and saw her attacker let go of her neck and release his grip and then Chris got happy to see that he was letting her go but then her attacker dragged a knife out of her belly and she slumped to the ground lifeless and spitting out blood, right before Chris and he could do nothing to help her?
Chris Bolton and Mabel Sanders had been sitted for a while and having a small conversation when Mabel reached out for her drink again with still shaky hands and accidentally knocked Chris' glass over, emptying its contents on him."Oh my word! I'm so sorry Chris," she almost yelled as she bolted out of her sit."It's fine Mabel. Relax. You've had a terrifying experience" Chris said as he got off his sit and helped her back into hers. "I'll just nip down to the restroom real quick so this doesn't leave a nasty stain. Be safe, OK?" he finished as he held her gaze. She nodded and he left.Without wasting a second, she poured a powdered substance into what was left of his drink and shook the glass to mix it up, then she poured some of hers into his. Afterwards she quickly grabbed his phone which he had left on the table, hoping against all hopes that he was still the same Chris Bolton who never bothered with phone locks. She powered the phone and swiped at the screen and it immediately
Michael Bolton cleared his throat and said "Ladies, my only son is missing and I don't like it." He turned away from the window and walked towards the table to stand at the head, but didn't take a sit. "I need solutions ladies and I'm going to start by asking who the hell was with my son today" he asked and made eye contact with them one after the other. When he got to Mrs. Yvonne, she spoke up."A certain Rohas Morello was his assigned guard and driver for the day because today was Ms. Rose' day off and the young master had wanted to go out." she said."Bring me this Rohas Morello, now." Michael said and Mrs. Yvonne nodded and excused herself. "While she gets him, do any of you have any ideas for me?" Michael Bolton asked the other ladies still sitted at the table but none of them said a word and he grunted in frustration. After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence, there was a slight rap on the door before it was pushed open and Mrs. Yvonne walked in and was followed closely b
Mabel Sanders and Arthur McDoyle stared daggers at each other as they each tried to stare the other down. As far as Mabel Sanders was concerned, Arthur McDoyle was being a greedy little knucklehead and he was too blinded by his greed to be able to see it, but she was quite fine and she wouldn't let him ruin all her good work so far. She knew Michael Bolton was most certainly not sitting quietly on hoping to hear from some kidnappers especially when he had enemies like Thomas Bolton and his new son Richard. No. The man was most certainly in some room with his best human haunting dogs putting together a plan to begin to sniff his heir out and she wanted to give him the easy way out as soon as possible and be done with the whole affair, but no, the walking sack of bones and meat she had made the foolishly mistake of teaming up with was insistent on demanding an excessively ridiculous amount. She looked at the man opposite her with his jaw set in a stubborn line and his eyes fixed stubbor
Thomas Bolton's phone rang on his bedside table beside him and he picked it up with a grunt. Who the hell would be calling him at this hour??! He looked at the time before checking the caller ID and saw that it was well past 3am and he frowned and looked at the caller ID; Richard. His frown deepened and he accepted the call."This had better be good or I'm using you as my target for darts the next time I play," he said as soon as he placed the phone on his ear."Oh Thomas, it's good and it's not good; Chris Bolton's missing," Richard said and Thomas slowly sat up in his bed."I'll meet you in my personal lounge in the next ten minutes." he said and hung up. Thomas Bolton flipped over his duvet and got out of bed then after a brief struggle to get his feet into his scuff slippers, he got to his feet and headed to his bathroom, his mind occupied with thoughts all the while. Chris Bolton was missing. Now how had the entitled and privileged simp pulled that off? How did a grown ass man ge
"Well that went to shit rather fast," Richard said when Thomas silently and calmly dropped his phone beside him on the chair. He had only witnessed Thomas' end of the call but he could tell from what he had heard that the call had in no way achieved the goal he'd had in mind for it to achieve. If anything, things between Thomas Bolton and Michael Bolton had probably just gotten more heated and strained and Michael Bolton was probably ordering his minions to look for anything to tie himself and Thomas to this business of Chris' disappearance and Richard didn't like the thought of it one bit. He looked over at Thomas with irritation. The old fool couldn't just hold back his foul tongue for a few seconds, could he? For Pete's sake!!!!! All he had freaking had to do was bite back his foul tongue for a few seconds and establish both their innocence to Michael Bolton and then offer to give any resources they could to ensure Chris Bolton returned safely, but no! Oh no, Thomas Bolton was too
Mabel Sanders quickly hung up the call and drew in a shaky breath. Michael Bolton had somehow found out everything. Shit. Shit. Shit. What on Earth was she going to do now? Should she leave the country? Go somewhere else and start afresh with a new identity? That certainly sounded better than whatever twisted punishment that sicko, Michael Bolton, would want to give her for kidnapping his son. Yes, she would probably be on the run for years but at least she would be alive, plus, she was really smart so she could definitely play this game with him. But how on Earth had she been caught so soon? Shit. Shit. Shit. How was she going to contact Arthur and inform him about the situation on ground? For all she knew, her house was already being monitored and Michael Bolton and his minions were probably watching her every move. They could also have found a way to monitor and even listen in on her calls. Shit. Shit. Shit. This was bad. What was she going to do? Should she call her father and con
