CHAPTER 29

As early as 6 am the next morning, Chris had already dressed up. It was a Saturday, and not a working day but he couldn't get the events of the previous day out of his head. He needed to make sure that Arthur was okay.

Monica had tried her best to discourage him from going to the office that morning, but seeing that his mind was made up she knew that she had no choice but to follow him and try to keep him safe.

"This is a bad idea and we would regret it," Monica muttered as Chris hurried down the steps leading out of the mansion. "If your father really set Arthur up, then he's dead already. We shouldn't be putting our lives in more danger."

"I can't allow that bastard die like that," Chris replied through gritted teeth. "Where is the fun in that? I haven't even done half of the things I planned to do to him."

"It's too late already, Chris," Monica sighed. "Arthur is dead. Gone!"

Chris stared down at her for a moment and shrugged.

"It's fine if you do not want to follow me," He said. "
