CHAPTER 30

Chris woke up with a start.

His eyes were heavy and his visions were blurry. He yawned and stretched for a while, as he tried to recall the preceding events, and suddenly, everything came flooding through his memory - finding the truth about his father, getting captured by Arthur, and passing out in the Black Limousine.

Everything had actually happened. It was not a dream as he had thought.

Chris rubbed his eyes several times in a bid to clear the sleep from them, and then he stood up to his feet. He stared at the watch on his hand and saw that it was a few minutes past six in the evening.

They had been out for hours!

Monica! Chris spun around like a mad man in search of her, but all he met were the four walls of the room and a wide open door.

A wide open door! "Why was the door not locked," Chris thought to himself.
