Everyone was open-mouthed.

As the officers walked up to the door, one noticed a hole near the top of the door.

“What is this?!” the officer said.

Andrew looked at the whole and exclaimed, “Hu, I guess it he did manage to hit the building. I will have the charge him with the repair bill.”

“What are you talking about, sir?” said the first officer.

“What? You didn’t see the gun in his hands? He shot it and clearly missed me, but I originally thought he missed the whole building too. Guess he managed to hit there” said Andrew.

“Gun?! He has a gun and shot at you?”

“I believe I already said he had a gun and the bullet whole clearly shows what he hit. Hard to classify that as shot 'at' me when he can’t aim to save his own life.”

Andrew strolled into the office space and over to the desk where he had the plans for his training site and shuffled through for the contract. After located the needed documents, he handed them to the officers. He then shot a quick text to Jackson.

(officers at my site. FIX IT.)

As the officers read over the documents, they quickly began to realize that the man in front of them was right. This was not an EISEN Group site anymore. Clearly signed were Emily EISEN and a Mr. Liam of the Dreadnought Investment group on behalf of the Fire Dragon CORP parent company.

Shit, Dreadnought Investment …. That was the largest real estate company in the whole area! It was worth billions! And they were listed as a subsidiary of this Fire Dragon Corp? as officers they knew OF various large companies that they provided security for and knew who the big players were but not much else. Dreadnought Investment was one NO ONE messed with, for ANY reason. They each began to feel a cold sweat on their backs, and they realized just what kind of force owned the property they were not harassing.

Just then the ranking officer's phone rang.

“hello-…. yes, …. yes, sir right away sir.”

Andrew who was standing just a few feet away smiled wryly.  While it was true, he had better hearing than most, he did not need it to overhear the racket coming from the other end of the line.

“You worthless piece of shit! Do you know who you are harassing? The Dreadnought Investment group? Really?! If you piss off any of their staff, you are done! You will be forced to never show your face in this town again! Do you know who paid for all our new equipment? DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT! Do you know who makes sure our department is funded? DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT! Give that idiot who called you there a good slap for good measure!” Click and the line went dead.

Both officers looked at each other as their faces drained of color. Who had they just provoked? Even if this was a simple day laborer, if he belonged to DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT, they were dead. And apparently, someone at DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT had called the headquarters to complain or they would not have heard from the captain just then.

Stepping out of the office, the second officer said. “sir, what is this about calling in a false report? Eisen company has no claim to this land. Why are you harassing the staff here? And why the HELL are you discharging a firearm!  Where did someone like you even get one? You clearly never served!”

“hu? What are you talking about? Of course, this is Eisen property!”

“No sir, your company clearly transferred ownership to DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT, and their representative here is now being harassed by you. now please stop wasting our time,” said the first officer.

“officers, I also have work to complete, if you would, I would ask you to see Mr. Jay Eisen off my land, please. And you might want to do something about the firearm before he hurts himself, or someone else,” said Andrew. He was done with Jay, and already had a very sour impression of him.

“Right away! Have a good day sir!” with that the officers approached jay who was still looking confused and flustered.

“No! Just… No! This is our company land! You cannot toss me off our own land! I will have each of your jobs! Do you have any idea how important I am in this town?!” spluttered jay Eisen.

Frankly, while both officers had seen signs for Eisen construction around town, neither had really heard much of the family so no, they could not possibly know how unimportant this self-righteous jay was and at this point didn’t care. DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT was a force to scare the life out of them, not some third-rate family.

As they began to lead jay back to his car he tried to turn and shout one last time at Andrew.

“you lazy bastard, I will not let you get away with this! You will not get to stay here!”

In the process of this, jay accidentally elbowed the first officer in the face.

“ok, that is it! Assaulting an officer after trespassing and discharging a firearm in an unsafe and threatening manner? Really? Let's go!”

The officers quickly wiped Jay around and cuffed him, pushing him into their car.

“you, you can't arrest me! I am Jay Eisen! This is our land! Do you know who I...” as the door slammed cutting off the end of his sentence.

The officers turned to Andrew who had a huge grin on his face.

“We will take care of this and have a tow truck remove the car shortly,” said the second officer.

“Thank you, sir, you both have a fine rest of your days.” Replied Andrew before returning to work on his training grounds.

Shane Eisen was sitting in his office reviewing a new proposal that had come in to make a bid with the DREADNOUGHT INVESTMENT group for a new building in Durres. If they could secure this contract, it would be a huge boost to the company. Thus far it looked like things might actually work out, and in this, his niece Roisin possibly had some benefits. Her female figure was quite the eye candy for local businessmen and Shane was sure that is why the Dreadnought Investment CEO, Liam, had been willing to sit through several rounds of negotiation with Roisin so far. While a final agreement had not been reached, if Liam was willing to sit through this many pitches, it was a good sign. Many businessmen could not even get a meeting with such a person!Just then, his phone rang with a number he did not recognize.(If you are not reading this on the GoodNovel app or site, you are on a stolen site, and not supporting the real author)“Hello, the is Shane with Eisen G

I have a few hours of free time. Is there anything that needs my attention?”“Well sir if you are free, it would be good for you to meet Mr. Liam. Right now, I have him running the Dreadnought Investment group. There is an office prepared for you there on the top floor, that will run the whole Fire Dragon Corp. I have assigned a vice President for you, who will also act as your secretary and liaison for any business needs. She is extremely capable. Her name is Arya Croft,” said Jackson.“Very good, I will pass there within the hour.” Andrew said as he hung up.Jackson quickly called ahead to Mr. Liam.Liam was packing up his office for the day when he saw his p

Andrew made his way over to the Dreadnought Investment group. He knew from Jackson that this company had been established in its current form just a few years ago. Jackson briefed him from time to time, and he gave input and resources as needed. Thankfully Jackson was a capable person and had been ever since he had been assigned to Andrew’s team in the field all those years ago. When he got out and came back home, he quickly became Andrew’s top force and right hand in many ways. When he stepped up to the receptionist, he asked politely to informed Mr. Liam that Andrew was here to see him. “Mr. Andrew is it? I am afraid I do not have you, or any for that matter, on the schedule… Mr. Liam does not normally take visitors that are not scheduled ahead of time.” “Miss, please inform him, and let him decide. I am confident he will be down shortly.” The secretary frowned but picked up the phone. “Mr. Liam, there is and Mr. Andrew here to see you. He does not

Just as they were concluding, a knock sounded on the office. Liam jumped up, furious someone would interrupt. But when he answered the door, he froze. Arya Croft, Vice-Chair of the whole Fire Dragon Corp stood at the door. While Liam had met her on previous occasions, it was rare to see her now except in passing, being that her office was on the top floor of the same building. “President Liam, Is this Mr. Andrew I have been told about?” “Yes, Ma’am.’ “When you are done with him, please send him my way.” “Well actually, we are finishing now,” said Andrew as he stood from the desk. “Shall we?” And with that, he left the room to follow Arya upstairs. Liam was ready to melt and felt a huge pressure leave with Andrew. Upstairs was an impressive area. The whole floor had a clearly fung shui focus and Raya instantly could sense that it was well done. There was even a large waterfal

Roisin Eisen was one of Durres’s cities great beauties. To her, being told this was next to telling her that a bear craps in the woods. It was a useless bit of information and in no way felt like a compliment these days. Her beauty had never brought her a suitable man nor had it been a huge asset in business. Instead, she was envied by women who felt inferior and thus targeted by all manner of mean schemes. She was practically stalked by men of low IQ and even lower hygiene habits. Her own mother insisted on setting her up on an untold number of blind dates. It was true that she was of a good age to marry, and she would not mind finding someone she could enjoy being with. However, right now, she was successfully climbing the ladders in the family business, and working hard to get her family of two out of the squaller house they lived in. well, perhaps family of three if you considered Emily who practically lived with them now. Both Roisin and Emily were making great strides in

Roisin looked at him curiously but noticed as Andrew subconsciously touched an earbud and realized he must have been on a phone call when she walked up. She wondered absently who Raya might be. A coworker at Dreadnought Investment? A girlfriend?“I don’t believe we have met before. But my mother told me to meet you here. Is now still a good time for us to catch a meal together?” this blind date was off to a grand start Roisin thought.Andrew was utterly lost, but here was a beautiful woman who knew his name and wanted to have dinner.‘if you don’t say yes I will do it for you.’ Snarked Raya.“yes, yes of course have a seat,” said Andrew in an instant as Raya snapped his confusion.“I know these blind dates are a bit awkward, so sorry for that. My mother has set me up on enough.” Started Roisin.“Blind date? Ah yes, they can be quite awkward but with a beautiful woman

“Well Miss Eisen, I do think there are opportunities for you to look at in the future. I have a proposition for you to consider,” said Andrew.“Yes, have already given me much to consider. Wait, a proposition you say? What do you have to offer?” asked Roisin noticing Andrew’s attention had shifted back fully to her from his moment of absence.“I believe the Fire Dragon group would be interested in working with your company. They have resources few can fathom. They even wholly own Dreadnought Investment as you may be aware. I can connect you with Miss Croft, who would be the one to discuss possible future cooperation, but I can give you a taste of what such cooperation might benefit your company. After that, they chatted for a while and Roisin mostly talked about her family and time with her cousin. Andrew only briefly mentioned his time in the military and mostly focused on his medical experiences because that was Roisin’s specialty and she might recognize aspects of his experiences.Suddenly Andrew noticed a chill in the air. This was odd being that it was rather warm outside this time of year. ‘Raya?’‘COLD’ was Raya’s slow reply.‘Cold? What are you sensing Raya?’‘COLD blood physique. This girl is lucky to be alive this long with that. It's super rare. There are some odd treatments but they take time. Like 10 years. Some manage to live longer if they inadvertently find a fire-blood, who has the opposite problem. Andrew led the way as they headed back toward the great hall. “Come, it is time to return to Durres.” As they passed into the grand hall, Alexa let out a shocked squeak as two men grabbed her arms from either side. Anika and Andrew spun back to her and Anika drew a dagger. Conner’s two younger brothers held Alexa. “Lookie what we found. A murderous little bitch.” Lord Devos stepped out of the shadows then with a man that Alexa felt bore a striking resemblance to lieutenant Tannis. “Ah, goddess Anika, you saved me a lot of trouble bringing this traitor to me. I thank you. the Praetorian guard has already been summoned. After all, the death of the son of Senator Palmos cannot hardly be overlooked.” “Lord Governor Devos, you will release Alexa now. If you don’t, you will find I am far more than you can afford to offend.” Andrew said coldly. “Son, don’t play here.” Governor Devos said, snapping his fingers. Alexa marveled at the militaristic atmosphere as they entered the palace of Devos Mansion. There were guards stationed at the entrance who bowed respectfully as their badges automatically lifted the gate without the guard needing to activate it.When they arrived at the front doors of the castle, six guards came to the side of the car and stood at attention. They exited the car and Anika led the way into the grand hall.“Seems they might have expected us.” Anika said softly as Alexa took in the numerous guards who lines the alcoves of the grand hall. Many were hidden in shadow and if her keen hearing had not detected their breathing, or the subtle expansion of their chests against taught leather and breast plates, she likely would have assumed they were statues. At the far end, a throne sat empty. A steward stood off to the side and raised his voice.“The Red Dragon, Anika Archeron and company.”Nothing happened, and the room fell eerily silent.“Are the devos not in?” Anika asked A

Howls erupted around her as Alexa’s wolves went battle mad. The sound aroused a spark of consciousness. Raya was screaming in her mind as silverly wings enveloped her mind. Alexa’s eyes flashed with defiance as she reached up and gripped the flat top of bloodbane. Any mortal that tried this would be sliced or simply have the blade moved down out of their grip. Alexa’s grip however, viced onto the blade so tight, its motion toward her neck halted completely. The commander looked at her, shocked. Clearly he had intended on placing the blade flat against his fist and pushing it away from him, across the top of his hand, taking alexa’s head off in the process. He had maneuvered the blade a bit slowly. Perhaps out of caution, knowing its deadly power, or perhaps due to bloodloss. Either way, the blade was now frozen, inches from Alexa’s neck. She still dangled in the air, legs suspended by his massive grip but her defiant eyes were not dying like they

Alexa walked along the cliff face, glancing over her shoulder at the rock debris that covered the cave entrance. Her stomach roiled as she thought about the wolf that she had lost. She vowed to visit his family and ensure Andrew and Anika would take care of the family from now on. Lost in thought she didn’t see the crack in the rock as she passed. The shlick of a crossbow bolt being released had her spinning around and dropping low as she looked for the attacker. Behind her # 26 slumped to the, a bolt protruding from his chest, as red blood leaked from the corner of his mouth. “NO!” she cried, her black blade flashing in her hand. “Down!” she waved at the men behind her and the took cover, but not before several more bolts flew, taking down several more of her men.
