"Why did you seek me out, Princess Rai?" asks Elsie, wiping her weary eyes. "We need your help defeating Leviathan." "Leviathan!?" she gasps. She looks in my direction, and asks, "Why would you need me when you have a walking disaster next to you? If anything, I'd say Haruki here could easily handle Leviathan by himself." "That would be impossible," I confess. "Why? You haven't even met Leviathan yet. And, if you use that white-haired form of yours, you could defeat anyone." "There's a limit to my transformation." "A limit? And what would that be?" asks Rai. "When I use that form, I hear a voice whisper in my ear." "A voice? What does it say?" My chest tightens up as I recall the sinister female voice. "'Kill them... Kill them all!!' is what she says." The memories from before flash through my mind. "I can suppress the voice; however, if I use it longer than a certain period, I can feel a presence inside me trying to rob me of my conscience." "And what is that period?" "Five
So, I re-wrote all of the chapters(Hooray! Everybody cheers!!)But when I changed some chapters they saved as Author's Notes.(Author's hitting his head against a wall in embarrassment)As for the updated schedule:I will release the last few chapters of this volume at irregular time intervals. From that point forward, I will write all the chapters of the upcoming volumes and release one chapter daily. What I mean is there will be a break (OH NO!) until I finish Vol 3. Then I will release Vol. 3's chapters daily (YAY!!) I could do the weekly chapters but I want some time to craft it into something *AHEM* readable... So, this is the schedule I'm going with. That's all. Enjoy...
"This can't be... Where is the village?" "We looked everywhere, Haruki. Are you sure this was the right way?" asks Rai. "Of course, this is the right way," I roar. "Then where is the village!!" screams Elsie. I look around. The smell of the village still lingers in the air, like it's still here. But it's not. What's going on? "I-It... could be... an enemy's magic..." says Erika, shivering. "An enemy's magic?" I ask. "But when could we..." A light goes off in my head. "The barrier," I say, "That can be the only plausible explanation." "But didn't you cast a barrier of your own, Haruki?" asks Rai. "The enemy's barrier may have been more powerful than mine." "A barrier more powerful than yours?" questions Elsie. "I find that hard to believe, seeing as you defeated me using my magic before." "I know many magical spells; however, I do not have experience using them. I may have used too little mana in my spell. It could be that, or..." "Or?" "Or we are dealing with an expert in t
My mind goes blank, and I pass out. "Where am I?" I ask as I look around the void-like space. Seeing as no one is around, I guess this is something similar to when Elizabeth and I met. "K..." I hear a voice. It's faint, but it's there. "Who are you?" I ask the voice. "Let me out of here so I can save my friends." The voice does not respond. "DID YOU HEAR ME!!" I snap. "LET ME OUT, MY FRIENDS NEED ME!!" "N... Need... yo... you...?" asks the voice, static-like. "Do... you... th... think... y... you... can... sa... save... your... friends...? With... your power... you will... fail..." As frustrating as it is, this voice is right. Hafiz will not allow me to cast Healing Magic. And I'm not strong enough to break his barrier. "Then what do you suggest," I say, giving in the voice's intent. "U... Use... my... power..." "Your power? Are you speaking about my Fólkvangr Mode?" "Use... my... power..." says the voice once more. A projection of the battle appears in front of me. "Watch me..
I regain consciousness and jump up, panting heavily. I look down, "A bed?" I ask confused. I start looking around, "Is this... a home?" What happened? Why did I regain control of my body? What was that voice? Why did Hafiz tell me to leave Grand Order? Too many questions, and too few answers. The door to this small cottage opens. I jump off the bed and ready a fighting pose. An old man, carrying piles of wood enters and sees me up. He walks past me, as if he is completely ignoring my existence, and feeds the fireplace with the fresh wood. The room fills with a welcoming heat. The old man opens the pot - which was over the fire. A mouthwatering smell fills the air. He grabs a ladle and scoops some of the stew into a handcrafted wooden bowl. He places the bowl down and fills two more bowls. "Are you just going to stand there?" asks the old man. I sit at the table and start eating. After one bite tears fill my eyes. "What is this?" I ask, chomping down on the chunks of meat and gulping
"Village Chief!!! Village Chief!!!" "What? Why are you screaming?" "Ther... There's trouble!!" "Trouble? What could be so troublesome that you forget we are protected by King Heilder?" "A... A dragon... There's a dragon at the front gate!!" "A dragon? So, what? A mere dragon does not frighten me. We have our wonderful King..." "Oh?" I ask from outside the village chief's house. "No fear at all. I'm surprised." I rip the roof from his house. "So, you are the village chief," I say, looking at the priest from earlier. "Where are my friends?" "Your friends? Ah, you must be the visitor from earlier. Well, colour me surprised. I never expected you to be a dragon." "Enough small talk. Answer my question." "I am sorry, dragon whose name I know not. As I said earlier, your friends are not here." "He's lying," screams the little boy. "Tristan?" asks the village chief. "Where were you? We have been looking for you. Come here," he says spreading his arms and wearing a creepy smile, "I w
"An ape-like creature. Its ability to walk on two feet is not the only aspect it shares with humans. The Yeti can understand and converse with humans. Many speculate about the Yeti's favourite dish. Some believe it to be grass, others think snow. However, the truth is that the Yeti is a carnivorous beast who loves the taste of human flesh. With three humans trespassing in this pocket dimension, he is bound to reveal himself." "Two humans," I say, correcting her. "I am a dragon." "A dragon? I see. Now I understand the force behind your magic. But that does not change anything." "Why do you say that?" "The Yeti is the only one of its race. However, because of this, it has an immortal life and regeneration surpassing a hydra's. On top of this, the Yeti has complete mastery over Ice Magic. Even the god governing ice is helpless before its mighty magic. That is why Yeti is known to seek out dragons - who are known as the strongest race - and challenge them to battle. It has felled many
"Do you know where they are?" asks Tess as we run. "I can hear voices." "Do you believe your friend will reach us?" asks the Village Chief's voice. "I know Haruki will find us. And once he does, you will regret holding us as hostages." Rai? Thank god she's okay. "This way. We need to increase our speed," I say, punching through walls. "Even if he does show up, he will never defeat my Yeti." "Haruki is powerful. Your Yeti doesn't stand a chance." "You are adamant on your knight. I wonder... What face will you make when we present his corpse to you?" "Haruki will not fall to the likes of you." "Princess Rai, you are quite the feisty one. I was going to present you to King Heilder, but I think he will dislike your personality. Therefore, I shall take you as my own and present those knights to King Heilder. Now, princess, are you prepared? Do not worry. I have pleasured many in my time. You, princess, will be subservient to me." I feel my blood boiling. I punch through the final
