EVIL ACTS OF THEODORA

Daisy, who felt the tension radiating from Daniel stood up and slipped her hand into his, squeezing it softly. Daniel glanced at her and she winked and smiled up at him. "Let me handle this," she mumbled only to his hearing and he bobbed but at the same time knew that she will be wasting her time. He had always known his parents to be overprotective and a bit strict, the angry aura around them to him is not one that can be quenched without shouts and curses.

Daisy cleared her throat and made a quick cross sign. 'Can I do this? I should as I'm the one who pulled him into this shit' she thought and breathed in and out. "First of all, Good morning, dad. Good morning, mum."

Daniel's parents made no sign as if they heard her and she sighed. "You both are mistaken, sir and ma'am. It was just a game we were playing." She patted her forehead and ran her hand through her hair knowing that her words made no sense to even her ears but yet hoped they would accept it.

Ivan Anderson and his wife Ava, scrunched their noses and shook their heads.

Ivan strolled to Daniel and stared into his terrified eyes. "Did you challenge the witch, Theodora? Did you?!" He growled and raised his hand to slap him but on second thought dropped back his hand.

Daniel who already closed his eyes, waiting for the slap kept waiting but when it didn't come after several minutes, he slowly opened his eyes and lowered his head.

"You really challenged Theodora?" Ava asked and her eyes widened. She stamped her foot, rushed to him, and began hitting him. "What were you thinking? Do you know what you just brought upon us? Do you know that you just brought a death sentence upon us?" She babbled and glared at him still hitting him.

Daniel kept his cool, knowing that pushing her would only worsen the case.

While he took her beating, he decided to at least explain what happened. Clearing his voice, he dropped his gaze to them. "I didn't mean to, mum and dad. I just couldn't hold back from doing what I did. She kept talking about how she would end us all and I just couldn't take it anymore so I spoke out. I just wanted her to know that someone could stand up against her."

"And that someone is you, Daniel?" His mum laughed not just believing her ears and walked away from him. "A mere mortal like you? What are you gonna fight her with? Do you even have mere combat power let alone supernatural powers?"

"He's just a big fool." Ivan cursed. "At his age, he has no sense. All he knows how is to eat, fuck and sleep. Nothing else! And you Daisy, you allowed him to do such?"

"I wasn't there when it happened, dad," Daisy explained, not wanting to be part of the curses.

"Where were you? And since it happened, did you tell us? What kind of a lady are you? One so good at just fuck I guess."

Daisy sighed as tears escaped her eyes, cascading down her cheeks. "I was at home, dad. And how do you expect me to tell you such? I already lashed out at him. What else was I to do? Kill myself?" She sobbed and was about to run out but Daniel who knew that was what she was going to do next, held her back and pulled her into himself, caressing her hair.

He glared dangerously at his parents and stamped his foot, about to walk out but a burst of great laughter suddenly resonated all over the house, halting his movements and the windows and doors began banging profusely, leaving him, Daisy, and his parents gaping at each other.

"Tears. That's what you all would get. Tears!" Theodora's voice resonated and lightning flashed. A blasting thunder rumbled and her laughter echoed but suddenly seized.

Ivan and his wife flared up at that instant, breathing heavily and both rushed to Daniel with clenched fists, perhaps to hit him for what he just brought upon them but screams upon screams began echoing a few steps away from them and they glanced at each other.

"What might've caused that noise?" Ivan asked Ava.

"And how am I supposed to know that?" She asked harshly due to how pissed she was already and ran out. Ivan ran after her and Daniel and Daisy not wanting to be left out, followed too.

All of them kept running towards the sounds of the screams till they came in front of their most treasured stream and their jaws dropped.

The people of Hilton Bale have always cherished one of their streams. This was because although Hilton Bale was surrounded by a great sea and had so many other streams, that stream was the only good one. It was the only source of their drinking water. And so it has been for so many years. But how can they drink from it again at what it just turned to?

Floating on the once sparkling stream were several corpses, more than a hundred. The corpses all had open hearts and just the blood from them was enough to turn the color of the stream to deep red or perhaps, Theodora herself did that.

"What happened here?" Ivan directed his gaze to one of the females sobbing so profusely on the ground and asked.

"They came to the stream to fetch water as we usually do and scooped a little into their mouths in all smiles but suddenly began screaming out that their belly was on fire. They were just three who were screaming then so the others thought it was a joke and kept drinking only for everywhere to suddenly darken and Theodora appeared in between them," she paused, blowing in hiccups and blowing her nose.

"Those that drank the water died even before she could do anything to them and the others who barely survived, she killed herself. My brother who managed to run while it was going on told me everything before breathing his last. He had ignorantly scooped of the water too.

"He also said that the witch Theodora kept murmuring he challenged me while killing the victims. Theodora killed them all and also damaged our stream. She wants all of us dead. She just wants to pull Hilton Bale down and your son here is helping her achieve that since he was the one who challenged her."

Ivan turned to Daniel with eyes blazing fire and raised his hand to hit him but everywhere suddenly darkened and Theodora's evil laughter began echoing in waves.
