Laurette arched her head to look at Damien. Her face had confusion seeped in it. Her fingers going up to touch the balls of red gold connected together by a long thin of gold rope.

Damien didn't for once look back at her. He was done with her already and was standing before the next person. Mira.

He got to her and dipped his hand in his pocket as usual. He brought out the necklace and put it around her neck.

"How Damien?"

He heard her ask. He took a quick glance at her and looked away immediately as though he didn't hear her question. He was acting so cold towards them.

He leaned forward on her. She thought he wanted to hug her but he whispered into her ears.

"Mira, sell this and make a living living. I do not owe you anything."
