Chapter 5

Jay POV

"3 people is gone now and it just the 3rd day after they got the threat" Claire explained,apart from Ariel she's the only female among us.

 I rubbed my eyes

I'm sleepy and this new case is taking a troll on me

How are we to solve this in a day? Just because each day,a person is killed.

"Jay get some rest,you might collapse" Ariel must have noticed how tired I am.

"It ok,we need to crack this case,if I sleep we might lose another person" I yawned 

"Don't worry we will do the work get some rest" she urged 

"Ok I will leave it to you guys" I decided to sleep in the police quarters there's no way I'm going home.if Ariel managed to crack it before tomorrow fine but if she doesn't…. Not like I wish she didn't though 

 This case on it own is crazy,what type of lunatic kills everyday.

When he first sent a letter of threat nobody took it serious until the next day the first victim was found died.

He still sent another threat that someone else will die and the next day someone dies.

This continues until today that is the 3rd day and when the higher ups found out nobody wants the case they pushed it to us who just finished with one case.

 Being a police is even harder than being a gangster,atleast as a gangster I have time for pleasure and time to lazy around,this cops of a thing is tiring

I fell on the small bed not caring to pull of my shoe or anything,I slept off.

  "Jay,Jay,Jay!" Someone called me

  I groaned,and rolled on the bed,I continued sleeping

"Jay" 

"What?" I answered with anger 

"Someone else is dead" I opened my eyes and sat up immediately.

 "What time is it?" I asked 

"9am" I nodded 

"Jay team leader asked for you" Drake who looked sleepy yawn 

 "When was the body found?" 

"7am this morning" he answered 

"Get some rest,I will go to team leader" I patted Drake 

He jumped on the bed and closed his eyes 

Everyone must be tired.

I went into the bathroom and wash my face,since my brush isn't here I will go brush at home.

  "Jay,come check it out,I can't even find anything" Ariel looks like she saw her savior when she saw me.the dark circle around below her eyes were evident.

 "Get some rest,I will continue from where you stopped" She muttered a thanks and left

Frank was sleeping on his desk,I don't see the rest of the team so I just got to work.

"Brianhub case" that was the case we are dealing with now

It a hospital for brain and it one of the best,it also has one of the best      in the country.

The first victim was also one of their best neurosurgeon,the second vistim being the director, the third victim been a cleaner.

 The victims had no connection whatsoever,it either the the targets are selected randomly or they are connection in a way we might never think.

I had no idea who the fourth victim is,but I don't have time,by tomorrow someone else might die.

I started pacing around the office trying to connect the dot or atleast find some clue but I find nothing.

 The women in red case was much easier,I was already feeling headache from this one,or maybe it because it rushed.  I need to go to the crime scene but I can't go along

 My stomach suddenly cry and I remembered I haven't had anything since I came into this body yesterday afternoon

 I don't even have a dime with me,this Jay is so broke.

"Good morning" just when I was thinking of what to eat Claire came in and place coffee and sandwich on my table

"For you Jay" she smiled. She must have been crushing on the real Jay. She blushed when I smiled back.

 I underwrap the sandwich and ate,I sip the coffee and felt alive,it was hot and milky just the way I like my coffee.

"Found anything?" Claire pointed towards the board.

"Nothing for now.I'm thinking of going to the scene." Claire chuckled awkwardly.

"But you don't like seeing blood and all that" the real Jay must be a coward,he's even afraid of blood.

"Well I must see the scene."

"When you are done let's go" She started packing her bag.

"Did you sleep here last night?" I was curious when I saw her packing bags.

"Yes I did"

"Then you should rest" 

"I did nothing,team leader did most of the work" she waved her hand and continue packing her bags.she locked it in her locker when she's done.I also finished my breakfast and we are set to go.

I was thinking the body would have been taken but it still there.

The body was found in the lobby this morning by a cleaner who came to her morning shift.

  The hospital was dry,there was barely any patient or Doctors, of Crouse they don't want to die.

 The press was present,it wasn't hard to get in since our team was the least popular.

 I looked at the angle of the camera,but seems it was turned to face the wall,I moved to the body to check it out.

As soon as I saw the body,my brain stimulated and starting working really fast.

I can now tell how the victim was killed,but still don't know the familiarities with the other victims

 "Hiii.I'm Detective Kelvin" I saw a hand stretched to me,I slowly look up and saw a handsome face.

Even I as a guy can't deny he's handsome,he looked relaxed and he gave off this oppressing aura.

I saw his hand still hanging on,

"Jay,police officer Jay" I shaked him

"You must be the one in charge of this case?" I had a bad feeling.

 "Yes I am" I still replied 

"I'm interested in this case so watch out I might snatch it" he warned playfully

I smirked so he wants the case 

"It a pity I got it and will solve it" I barged 

"Is that so,we will see by tommorow morning.it better you withdraw from it now"

"You don't tell me what to do" I was brewing with anger,I gritted my teeth but endured,I'm still building my reputation. I can't let this man spoil it even before I got it.

"We will see then" he scoffed and turn to leave

'I will shock you and solve it today,Bastard how dare you threatened me?' I clutched my fist and took a deep breath,I can't lose my temper not now atleast.
