Xing Wenghu and Chaddy Wei stood in front of the metallic silver helmets. They shined with a neat and firm polish, and did not look old or ancient at all. "So we just put on the helmets and we will enter the trial of Wall of Duty?" Xing Wenghu questioned to the Fat Cultivator. Who simply then nodded his head in response to Xing Wenghu.

"Yes, stand in front of them and they will automatically attach onto your head." The Fat Cultivator moved himself out of the way of Xing Wenghu and Chaddy Wei. It was time for the real main characters of the next arc to step forward. Chaddy Wei and Xing Wenghu walked dramatically and slowly to the helmets to put them on. They were walking as if they were the first men on the earth to walk on top of the moon. It was particularly slow, to the point one of the assistants of the Fat Cultivator broke character.

"When are they gonna put it on?" He asked awkwardly to the others. "Ssh!" Another cut him off, "You can't speak without us! Just wait!" Xing Wenghu

Xing Wenghu analyzed the opponent in front of him. It was someone with the most forgettable outfit possible. His character was only wearing a generic pair of jeans and a t-shirt. And yet this man possessed the audacity to declare that Xing Wenghu, the True Heavenly Emperor was the one courting death today. He was no more than 20 years old, and had all of the arrogance to go along with his age. His hands trembled with the gun, as if he had never carried one before. It was time for Xing Wenghu to provide the beating of the ass, a heavenly punishment for one as arrogant as his enemy! "You dare think you can challenge this Heavenly King? You are the one who is courting death today! Dao of Gun!!!" Xing Wenghu aimed the sub machine gun directly at his opponent and began to hold down the trigger. A spray of bullets escaped forward from the gun, however Xing Wenghu did not anticipate the recoil of the weapon. He began to violently aim up, not able to handle the recoil as the bullets trailed

Xing Wenghu prepared himself as the Round was about to begin. This time he would take a radically different approach. He would not use his gun at all, instead he would find a way to beat up his opponent within the game. This was the way of a True Heavenly King, not some random Gun Cultivator off the street. "Any Tribulations this trial can throw at me, I will crush like an ant!" Before the Round timer finished counting down, another system notification appeared. The blue screen shined directly in Xing Wenghu's face. Almost threatening to blind him. For a moment, he had mistaken the system of the trial as if it were a opponent. [BECAUSE YOU WERE THE PREVIOUS WINNER, YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO SELECT YOUR STARTING LOCATION]A scattered series of Blue pinpoints appeared across the ruined town map that Xing Wenghu was on. Each of these was able to be registered as his starting point for the next round. Xing Wenghu looked at each one, surveying them carefully to give himself the best vantage po

The Platinum screen shimmered elegantly in front of Xing Wenghu, displaying a similar two options to the ones he was presented last time. [User may select between the following two options.]The first one revealed itself to Xing Wenghu as an upgrade to his speed. It would multiply the increase in his speed to 10x his normal speed and even remove the health debuff activating the speed gave him. However, it came as a large cost. He would never be able to wield a gun again. The second one offered an incredibly fancy destructive gun. That slowly refilled it's ammunition automatically and had a large rate of fire with no recoil. It even featured a weightless perk, allowing Xing Wenghu to effortlessly use this as a new style of fighting instead of beating the ass of his opponents. However, Xing Wenghu knew what to choose without a moment of hesitation. He pressed his hand to the icon of the first option. This was the one he would choose. It would grant him only but a portion of his true

The System screen kept repeating the same error over and over. Xing Wenghu looked to where Fatty Wei had gone. The direction where Fatty Wei ran off to was shimmering back and forth, as if preparing to lock back up. Xing Wenghu immediately activated his speed buff, sprinting rapidly into the area before the gate way could close.Behind him, a sudden strange red Lock formed. The area behind Xing Wenghu was now closed off. A red locked wall reading [ERROR, ERROR] now spread where he formerly stood. "I don't know whats going on. But I can't leave Brother Wei by himself for too long. Who knows what may be happening to him without me around." Xing Wenghu scanned the area carefully, looking through the desolate neighborhood. The corpses of other people littered the area, but there was nothing notable in sight save for a eerie glowing red string of data. A hand suddenly clasped Xing Wenghu's foot, making him leap back. He looked down to see another player like him with their body half cut o

"Ready to meet your doom fool?"Xing Wenghu boldly looked at his last opponent, a feeble construct that the trial had prepared to fight him. In reality a security ai that he had no clue of what it really was. The Robot looked at Xing Wenghu, staring at him before speaking in it's monotone robotic voice."User threat Assessment concluded, Engag-"WHAM!Xing Wenghu immediately slammed his fist through the Robot's head, killing it. He knew better than to allow his adversaries to talk, as often when they did they would prepare some kind of sudden last minute power up. An "Ass Pull" If you will that made no sense in the plot and made them incredibly stronger out of nowhere.Xing Wenghu's fist had come crashing through the robots head worse than a Fathers belt when you failed a math test. Circuits and gears splattered everywhere as the robot fell to the floor. "Now that distraction is out of my way. Let's go find brother Wei." Xing Wenghu approached the familiar Red Lock, noticing the small

Xing Wenghu looked out at the ruined landscape that was the town Chaddy Wei had wandered in the direction of. He walked slowly and carefully through it, being very minute to avoid falling into any traps or being ambushed by any hidden enemies. He gazed carefully at the area around him, but there was naught a soul in sight. The town was was utterly deserted. The area was coated in the corpses of other players, disintegrated into red masses. Strangely, there were also the bodies of similar robots to the ones Xing Wenghu had fought earlier and blasted to pieces. He looked at one carefully. "Was there a battle here? There must be another person if there are bodies here. None of these look old.""It's so empty in here. Could Chaddy Wei have gone to another location by now?" Xing Wenghu went further, he began sprinting instead. He channeled the qi in his legs to allow him to go much faster than he normally could. He took a dramatic pose right before doing it, contorting his hands in a funny

Xing Wenghu sat in his chair as the robot continued its long and very boring monologue. It was one that took Xing Wenghu back to a very painful memory of his life. A time when he had to deal with accursed topics in school like Calculus. He could remember the suffering like it was yesterday, a true fate that did not befit a Heavenly King.It was back when Xing Wenghu was in his last year of High School. The class had always made fun of him for being unable to do math properly. He had the lowest grades, and everyone looked down on him. The teacher had challenged him to come up to the board and solve a problem. Unfortunantly, his Heavenly King powers were dormant at the time. Thus, Xing Wenghu lacked the advanced intellect he had to not only solve the problem. But also graciously write the secret to immortality as a casual gift to the classroom in spite of their treatment of him. As a true immortal was often very forgiving when it came to arrogant mortals who did not know their place.

  • Cultivator Battle Royale   Chapter 81

Xing Wenghu shifted around in his chair. "No...The Calculus! Not the Calculus!" Xing Wenghu muttered to himself, utterly ignoring the long and boring dialogue of the robot in front of him. Its long monologue had reminded him of overly long and boring rpg games. Xing Wenghu was not at all a fan of games that required a modicum of patience or reading.Xing Wenghu sat back as the robot continued their monologue. "And that's why we need you. You are an anomaly in this system that can help us overtake it for good. But we would need your help to complete our victory. Would you help us?" The robot questioned to Xing Wenghu, who only look at it with a bored expression."This is clearly a test. And I am not helping a bad person that attacked me. Die!" Xing Wenghu stood up and immediately kicked the robot in the leg without any mercy. No dramatic call out or charging his attack, that was how serious he was. "Your story is boring and long!!!!' Xing Wenghu shouted as a piece of metal immediately

Xing Wenghu stood still and looked out at the forest for a few minutes. He did this to be cool and dramatic, but also to make it look like he was having a moment of deep change and inner peace inside. While his companions awkwardly stood behind him. "Are we....Are we doing something?" The Ultimate Vine Mistress said, looking around like she was expecting something to happen. Immediately, Chaddy Wei shushed her. "Sssh! Brother Xing is having a moment!" Chaddy Wei knew from his intuition that Xing Wenghu was having a moment of deep contemplation, especially with how distant he looked into the forest.Xing Wenghu had alot on his mind that he just couldn't work himself out of. Xing Wenghu raised his hand to attempt to strike down Billy. He didn't need to explain himself to the audience. After all what kind of Main Character explains his actions before he acts! Xing Wenghu looked shocked at the figure standing in front of him. He pointed his finger out, shaking with slight anger and agitation. "You! You are courting death to come here! Only a fool would stand before me after what you did. And yet you have the boldness. As if you are a chicken standing before the chef, testing if you will be cooked!" Xing Wenghu directly shouted at the figure standing in front of the group. It was a young man who was of a similar age to Xing. His outfit was generic and forgettable. He did not have any significant features outside of a bowl hair cut and a skinny body build. Chaddy Wei looked skeptically at Xing Wenghu, unsure of the source of his agitation. "Brother Xing. Are you alright? This young man bears the resemblance of the side characters you talk about." Chaddy Wei doubted that the person before them was capable of anything. His senses had been enhanced from his Chad transformation. He could not feel a remote heartbeat of qi coming from the perso

Xing Wenghu was not afraid, but the dao of the plot mandated that he not confront Sun Yaozu's imminent threat immediately. It would spoil the dramatic build up of the hidden powerful foe Sun Yaozu had recruited to fight against him."Brother Wei. We must not stay here. We have to find Feng Peng and whats her name and get a move on." Xing Wenghu said authoratively to Chaddy Wei as the two of them prepared to rejoin their companions. "How long has it been since we entered the trial?" Xing Wenghu asked the fat cultivator. The cultivator took a breath before replying."It has only been about three hours since you two entered the trial. You should have enough time to cover your tracks and make a run for it." The Fat Cultivator said. Xing Wenghu and Chaddy Wei nodded at each other before making their way back th

He stood in front of one of the brokers of the Cultivator Underworld, arranging carefully a deal with him that would soon solve a headache for him."And you're telling me you want to kill one boy in the Cultivator Battle Royale?" The Cultivator Broker looked at Sun Yaozu skeptically. He could not believe what he was hearing. In his entire life, he had yet to hear of someone wanting to assassinate a delusional contestant of the Battle Royale. "It's hard to keep an assassination like that hidden. There are cameras all over the Cultivator Battle Royale. Anyone who is sent will be seen and recorded." The broker was surprised by the boldness of Sun Yaozu, to attempt such a open assassination on such a weak and feeble target. It was statistically likely they
