Are you okay?? Did these monsters do this to you!? What happened to you?!” yelled Zack loudly as he shook the older boy gentlyZack was startled when he heard his voice echoing through the room, although it did seem rather familiar, he wasn't sure. The sight of Zack scared him because he could easily tell that he hadn't seen Zack in a long time. “What are you doing here?? I thought you were dead!!” cried Zack, panic filling his toneZack was still trying to figure out who he was talking too when Michael bursted through the doors with Jeremy trailing closely behind him. “Zack!! Oh my god!!! Are you alright? Where is this place?” exclaimed Michael, frantically checking Zack’s body for any injuries“Michael, shut up! He might be unconscious” warned Jeremy“Oh yeah sorry” said Michael sheepishly as he glanced at Zack apologetically.“He's not unconscious” answered Jeremy, trying his best to contain his laughter“Shut up Jeremy. Zack can hear you” whispered MichaelOnce Zack's senses ret
Did someone hurt you?!” exclaimed MichaelZack looked up sharply, his expression changing drastically from anger to worry“No, no one” said Zack quickly, taking a calming breath before continuing “My parents abandoned us, so we live by ourselves in the woods. The only thing my mother ever showed me kindness towards was her son, so it’s no surprise that I developed some sort of attachment to them” explained Zack, staring intensely at his lap, clearly frustrated with himself“Are they okay?” asked MichaelZack shrugged in response, deciding against explaining further“How old are you Zack?”“Twenty three years old. Why?” questioned Zack, confused“When was the last time you left this forest?” repeated Michael“Um, about four weeks ago,” said Zack quietly, averting his gaze from MichaelThe boys shared another glance before turning back towards Zack.“Where did you go yesterday? You were out all night” asked Michael“I don't think I need to answer that question” responded Zack, looking s
A couple hours passed without any real activity, which was a rare occurrence for the group. Everyone seemed to be lost in their own thoughts, trying to figure out what would happen next. After an hour Michael decided it was time to leave.“Alright, we should probably get going soon. If mom sees us in here she's gonna get worried” he said, standing upZack nodded in agreement and grabbed his backpack, following Michael outside. He walked alongside him until they made their way to the car.Michael opened the door and motioned for Zack to slide in. Once the younger boy had sat down he closed the door and got into the driver’s seat. The boys spent the rest of the drive in silence, both deep in thought about everything that had transpired over the past week, each contemplating what exactly they were going to tell their parents when they got home and whether they would continue living there or move into a motel. When they arrived back at the house, everyone was waiting for them.“What took y
limp body in his arms and carried it to the hallway where they had been staying.Michael let out a scream of frustration as he watched helplessly as the other boy carried Jenna. He immediately rushed forward, trying to get rid of the older boy before he hurt her even more. But the boy managed to get past him, running out of the school premises. Michael sighed deeply and ran his hand through his hair, feeling frustrated, anxious and worried about Jenna. Why would this happen? Did she do something to deserve that? Or was it just her luck to end up getting involved with these bullies? All these questions kept circling inside of his mind relentlessly.Suddenly the older boy stopped running. Michael almost slammed into him as he did, only managing to avoid bumping into him by the last second. His face was completely unreadable, except for his cold blue eyes, as the other two boys turned around to look at Michael and Jeremy, who were frozen in shock.“What the hell are you kids looking at?”
He could feel his own heartbeat pounding inside his chest, as he wondered how everything got to this point, and where did all of this even come from. Everything was so sudden. And scary. And painful. And confusing. And weird. And... and overwhelming. And overwhelming. That's what he was feeling right now. That's what his brain was telling him. He felt overwhelmed.A familiar voice spoke softly, startling him out of his thoughts “Hey, Michael… are you alright? You've been out here for quite some time now.” said Jenna, who approached him slowly. Her hands instinctively moved towards his shoulders, rubbing soothing circles against it, trying to calm him. Her soft touches made Michael realize he was indeed shaking slightly. He gulped and opened his mouth to reply, but he was unable to find a single coherent word. Instead of saying anything, he wrapped his arms around Jenna and hugged her as tightly as he could. He buried his head into her shoulder, breathing heavily as he tried hard to
Did somebody really hate Jenna as much as they say? And why was she involved anyways? Why was the person targeting her? Was this some elaborate plan to get revenge for something? Jeremy felt himself getting confused again, which wasn't very often these days.Jeremy sighed and put the frame back on the table before walking upstairs and entering his room. As soon as he entered he threw himself onto his bed, pulling the covers over his body as he let out a sigh. For some unknown reason he suddenly began to feel extremely tired. It's not like he was exhausted, he didn't sleep well the night before because of his nightmare, and although the events that took place were horrible, they were nowhere near enough to drain him completely. In fact, he could easily fall asleep even after going through all that. He sighed in frustration as he felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier, as though he was seconds away from falling asleep right now. Just as he closed his eyes, the smell of smoke inva
“I found a secret door to the outside world” muttered the boy under his breath.“A secret doorway?” Jeremy repeated, a confused look appearing on his face“Yes...” the boy muttered, fidgeting nervously“Okay... But how does that explain my room? I thought you just wanted to talk?”“There wasn't anything else I wanted to do, so I went up there”“So, you just decided to break in and take my things?” asked Jeremy sarcasticallyThe other boy nodded.“That's stupid” Jeremy commented, feeling his anxiety growing as he saw the panic in the other boy’s eyes “You could've gotten hurt! I'm warning you right now, if I find you breaking into other people's rooms, I'll kick your ass”“I'm sorry, okay? But I'm not hurting anybody. Nobody's gonna get hurt. I promise, I'm just borrowing them” he insisted.Jeremy sighed exasperatedly “You better be careful, dude. This whole situation is weird as hell” he mumbled“I will” the boy promised “And I won't do it again, alright? I'm trying to help you,
The church bell rang loudly with the pitch shaking off debris across every piece of furniture, a man dressed in a black hat and a long black dress stood up while facing a stone carved in the shape of a cross. “Father I thank you for giving me another grace to witness a bloody new day" he whispered with his eyes closed and arms held out wide as if praying for the last few seconds that would lead up to him finally finding peace. He slowly opened his eyes. The sun was already down below the horizon, and suddenly the church bell began to ring louder, drawing attention to the growling coming from the doorstep. “Amen," he ended his prayer while removing his two pistols from their hostler tied around his waist before turning around. The zombies rushed towards him with the urge for his blood, but the man seemed determined not to let them through. The gunshots that resounded as he fired off each bullet were deafening as they echoed throughout the empty streets, leaving the only sound ec
