ATTEMPTED MURDER

For the second time in my short moment in life, my loud cry saves me from Jack's hand. Or to be precise, the ability to hear from far save me from the cold hand of this second death.

When I opened my mouth and cried out in a loud voice, all the birds left their nests, and the insects became silent. As for the nuns and children in the playground, their eyes darted towards me as I shrieked at the sight of Jack who is sneaking on me with a big stick in his hand.

"Shh! Ugly face. I am not here to harm you," Jack mumbled and quickly throw the stick in his hand away, and then take another step closer.

When I cried louder, Jack looked around, saw someone scurrying closer to us, and he quickly turned and disappeared into the forest.
