KARMA IS REAL
My nose caught the aroma of roasted chicken as I stepped into Mother Maggie's compartment, and without being told, I knew that a bowl of chicken is my birthday gift.

"Come here, Darling... Yes-. Let me put you on the chair."

For the first time since I can remember, I feel sad at the sight of the bowl of roasted chickens, and coming from my favourite company seemed not to lessen my melancholy mood.

"Tea or coffee?"

"Cup of tea, with lots of sugar and milk."

"Did you know that too much sugar is not good for a male child?" Mother Maggie asked. She filled a cup to the brim with tea from the pewter on the table, add four cubes of sugar and lots of powdered milk, and her face twinkled with excitement as she placed the tea on the table between us.

My eyes darted around for a sealed package, and Mother Maggie followed my gaze and sighed.
