[The host questioned the system’s existence. My name is Dungeon Conqueror System, and I will accompany the host in conquering the dungeon.]
[The question has been answered. Waiting for the host to answer the previous question the system asks.]
Now, Isaac was happier than everybody else. Not only does he confirm he had a backing similar to the Great Sage, the system he has had a mission for him to conquer dungeons. How could he not feel exhilaration from this? As though he even admitted he was transmigrated in the game he loved to play.
“Ah! Of course, it’s a yes!”
[Confirmed. Unique skills, Analysis, and Digestion have been acquired. Requesting for the host to activate skills, Analysis, to discover more from the blood you consumed. Yes/No.]
[Yes!]
[Analyzing the blood contents…]
[Analysis complete. This is what has been found…
Common Skill, Charge.]
[Does the host want to digest the skill and learned it by activating the Digestion skill? Yes/No]
“Although, it is only a common skill. I might upgrade it later. Anyway, it benefits me more by acquiring it. More skills mean overpower!
Yes!”
[You have learned the Common skill, Charge.]
Isaac suddenly feel something was injecting into his memory. It did not hurt him though but instead made him feel euphoric. Feeling some memories interjecting in his brain, Isaac enjoyed the moment.
‘So this how can I activate the charge skill, huh? It’s pretty common nonetheless since it could even learn in the game even when you are level 1!’
‘Come to think of it, what’s my level?’
He decided to ask the system about it.
“System, can you show me my status?”
[As you command.]
[Status.
Name: Isaac March
Level: 1
Title: None
Dungeons Conquered: None.
Skills: Common Skill, Mosquito bite, and Charge.
Unique Skills, Analysis, and Digestion.]
A flood of information popped up in Isaac’s thoughts as he marveled at how he could see it. Isaac felt excitement spreading on his chest, and even his throat quivered, causing it to run dry. Even his limbs were trembling from the excitement.
“This is like I’m in a game!”
He exclaimed out loud in his thoughts before he calmed down a moment afterward. He was then struck by a moment of realization.
“However, what if I’m indeed inside the game?”
Isaac felt fear thinking about it. What if he was inside a game? A character played by a normal human but might be called God in his world? He had so many 'what if' on his mind when he suddenly laughed and shrugged it off.
“So what?” Isaac thought, dismissing the negative in his mind. “I will live my life to the fullest here. I will conquer every dungeon I see.”
Isaac now felt his mind became clear, and those doubts and negative feelings vanished! Isaac looked once more at the ‘living thing’ and was having mixed feelings. He then examined it but only perceived its outlines. The colors he saw before, which were bloody red and filled with vitality, vanished and were replaced with a grey color, seemingly an empty vessel.
He then looked at his surroundings, and only now he realized what he saw back when he was still a human was completely different.
His vision wasn’t clear as human eyes. The color he saw wasn’t as detailed as how would human eyes perceived. The outlines were good though, for he could identify he was in some kind of tunnel, but it wasn’t comprehensive like human eyes. The only good thing about his vision as he felt he could still see even in the dark.
Isaac was now sure he wasn’t a human anymore. Remembering the skills he has, he looked at the living thing which he had just killed and asked the system to activate one of them.
[Analyzing is in the process…]
[Analysis complete. The data of the creature has been sorted.
Creature: Wild boar tusk.
Status: Dead.
Description: Commonly found in the first level of ??? Dungeon. Specialized in attacking an opponent with brute force. Eventually, they unlocked the skill, Charge, after they charged at each other or at the enemy with the intent to show their might.]
Isaac was stunned when he realized that the creature in front of him was a wild boar tusk. A creature that should be five times smaller in height if it was to compare to the human height. At first, he thought it should be an elephant or some sort of creature, seeing it was huge for him.
He even thought the system was making fun of him since the long red rod he saw earlier should have been a tail, and the tail of the wild boar tusk was small. However, why was it long and swift for him to think it was enough to kill him?
“It shouldn’t be, right?”
No one answered him, and even the system was silent. After all, the system would only answer if the question was directed at him and wouldn’t answer the questions the host randomly blurted.
Isaac then sighed.
It was no use mulling over it, and he thought he should not waste time and decided to ask the question about how to level up.
[Experience, 5/15.]
Isaac didn’t question the system about how the ‘Experience’ system worked. After all, he was too familiar with it in a game. He knew he needed to kill another two monsters or beasts at the same level as wild boar tusk to level up. While only needed to kill a single level two to level up. However, where does he needs to find such confidence to slay a level two when he almost died from the single attack of a level 1?
In addition, the wild boar tusk didn’t use the skills probably because he was too small, and he also was targeting his blind spots, making the wild boar tusk’s skills useless no matter what. Because if the wild boar tusk did, even with the aid of blood lust, Isaac might have been disintegrated against the power of the charge.
“I admit, slaying the wild boar tusk is purely out of luck.” Isaac sighed while he stand up with his six, tiny thin limbs. “In addition, if it wasn’t with the aid of bloodlust and the sensitivity to sense danger, I might have died once again.”
Isaac chuckled lightly, and couldn’t help but feel a slight depression about how miserable he was. Back on earth, it was to be considered he lived a lavish life. He wasn’t prone to danger, for his identity was completely anonymous.
Since he was a child, he loved to gather information, for he felt being ignorant was something he shouldn’t become. Therefore, he kept breaching others’ privacy which he deemed important news, and always get away without exposing himself. It grew to the point he felt boredom, and decided to entertain himself by watching anime and playing games.
He even thought he knew the world too much, and the only thing he wasn’t yet aware of was the object her previous client, who got him killed, wanted to steal. He didn’t regret it though, for he was contented he managed to complete watching the entire story of his favorite anime before he died. He even got a kiss too, and it was from the most beautiful girl which even idols admired.
Now, in his current predicament, it would be considered the first and the most difficult life he experienced. Furthermore, this was still the beginning, for he planned to continue leveling up and decided to conquer every dungeon he saw. Therefore, despite the new life given to him, even though this life was dangerous and might bring him into peril at any second. He couldn’t care.
One thing he had a belief when he was on a journey at gathering information was
There would be a price to becoming successful and content with life.
“It’s now time to find another beast to kill.” Isaac sneered. “Let’s grind!” For some reason, Isaac felt he has a limb on his back. He tried to move it but seemed it could only move in a single direction, which was pretty simple. They also moved at the same time, and Isaac felt confused about its usefulness. It did not long after Isaac was struck with a sudden realization, and the previous exhilaration he felt descended to his being once more. “Could it be?” Isaac's two big round eyes shone with countless lenses. “A-wings? I have wings? I have wings!” Isaac then ordered the limbs on his back to flap, and it indeed moved! Isaac felt he moved forward slightly, which confirmed his guesses. He shrieked in happiness. “So that’s why!” Isaac remembered when he was battling the wild boar tusk earlier. He thought the limb on his back was the limb below his body, the legs. After all, he uses it to maneuver around, and he doesn’t have much time to ponder over it, for his mind was completel
“System, can you calculate the success probability of killing the beast combine with charge and my other skill targeting its beating heart?”Isaac decided to ask the system without much thought. He didn’t think that depending on the system might be considered biased. Isaac didn’t feel guilty about it. Some might think having a system, while others don’t, was a cheat, but it didn’t mean he wouldn’t make use of the blessings he received, right? It was like you were asking a child, birthed by a noble parent, to stop depending on them. It was ridiculous, to say the least. It wasn’t his fault he was born with an astonishing background. The same situation applies to Isaac; the system chooses him, so he should make use of it.[Analyzing is in the process…] [Analysis complete. Data has been gathered. The wild boar tusk had an enormous body, and it was disadvantaged against little creature….]Isaac continued to listen regarding the system’s thoughts and didn’t hasten to direct
“Activate the chain skill.”Isaac hovered before the other wild boar tusk, peacefully eating the grass scattered in the ground of the dungeon. Their stomach was enormous that even an hour of eating grass couldn’t satisfy them. Thankfully, the grass was almost common at every place, since the current place was home to the beast.[You have activated the Chain skills, Charge > Mosquito bite.]Currently, there was no thread, which showed the path for Isaac to take earlier. Isaac kept his vision to the beating heart of the wild boar tusk, feeling nervous for the first time. However, with the aid of the chain skill, all Isaac needed to do was to keep his consciousness awake, making sure the mosquito bite would activate once he pierced the heart. The performance ended splendidly without a hitch. The wild boar tusk died, landing on the ground without understanding what had happened. As expected, the carcass was devoid of blood, for it was absorbed entirely by Isaac, who immediately digested i
[Creature: GoblinDescription: A low-level type of monster, who was known for its grotesque appearance, greenish skin, and vicious, cunning, and sadistic.Note: Once you see them, check twice if they died, or they can grab you along with them on the journey to hell.]Of course, Isaac knew the hell of them. They are low-level, but they were the most hated monster in the early level of the game. Newbies always fall from their tricks, like playing dead, and embarrassingly Isaac was one of them. The System probably trying to warn him out of sincerity, but Isaac felt it was for him to remember the humiliation the goblin brought on him.Isaac even remembered many NPC’s issuing missions regarding the goblin. The most tragic of them all was a father issuing a mission for an adventurer to save his daughter, who was abducted by the goblin. The father and the child only wanted to have their joyous moments by spending their time on a picnic, but due to his ignorant. He didn’t know they were near
“I have acquired a skill just like that?” When he came to his senses, the goblin finally stopped before a wall. Isaac was surprised to see a shape and outline of a dungeon wall before the goblin. “It seems the goblin reach a dead end.” Isaac pondered as he immediately got frantic when he saw the goblin’s little circle shape turning to face him. He immediately decided to take action not to be seen by it. “System, activate charge skill!” [You have activated the skill, Charge.] As the goblin turned its head hastily due to its panic, Isaac didn’t notice his thoughts working faster than before. He called for the system to activate his skill in 0.0005 seconds, causing the system to respond in the same way. Halfway through the goblin’s turning its head, the skill has been activated. However, Isaac knew he had messed up. Due to his thoughts moving faster than reality, his mind and body failed to react in a single moment. However, thanks to Isaac’s quick reactions, he managed to point
The small goblin entered the village, and he saw his kin having their leisurely life. Some children were swinging their swords diligently, while others were playing with their same age. Most of the kids were doing mischievous things to the Elder, for which they would be scolded afterward.Meanwhile, the adult and married ones were gossiping with nonsense news, clearly, they were women. And while Men were talking about how great their dragon was, which subdued their partners in bed.The small goblin passes through them, and his panicking face does not escape the other goblin’s eyes. They couldn’t help but ponder what he was panicking about, and once they saw the direction he was heading. They couldn’t help but be affected as well. After all, the small goblin was heading to the Chief’s abode location. The small goblins were clearly heading there to report for something. The small goblins were also kind of famous in the village. He was known for venturing outside, scavenging even little
An hour earlier, the two guard’s voices sounded inside the hut. However, the village chief was conversing with someone, so it took an hour for the village chief to be completely annoyed about the guards and decided to shut them up.In addition, the inside of the hut was considerably vast. After all, instead of calling it a chief’s hut, it would be more suited to call it the headquarters. The chief would sometimes gather people inside to converse in an important conversation. While he would let other people work inside the hut to supervise their progress.Similar to now, the village chief was conversing with the most important person in the village. The village chief was talking about the person’s progress regarding his progression of magic, but he was disappointed to receive the report. He couldn’t hasten him, though, for he doesn’t have power enough to act like it.The village chief was respectful, and each of his tones was polite and formal. Therefore, when he received disappointing
“You’re exaggerating him.” The old goblin looked at the village chief, smiling like an idiot, and shook his head from his silliness. “Do you know why I’m confident?”The village chief nodded his head, and the sparkling eyes didn’t escape the old goblin’s vision. He didn’t mind it because he knew the village chief was obsessed with his magic. Or rather, the village chief was hungry for such power.“Watch me, then.”The old goblin sneered in confidence, before opening his mouth as he was muttering gibberish incomprehensible words. The village chief knew what he was doing even though he understood nothing about what the old goblin was saying. The old goblin was chanting to summon the power of magic! The village chief couldn’t help but imagine himself doing the exact same thing and then summoning a power out of magic. He even imitated the old goblin once when the old goblin summoned a fireball that incinerated the target. It was also fast, even though he knew he could react, but with tens
