Eleanor gasped and drew back, completely shattered by what he said. She looked at her sister and a tear flowed down her eyes.

"There is something that can be done, right?" She asked and averted her gaze to Damien. "You can treat her right?"

"Well I-" she cut him off.

"Then don't waste time and start her treatment." She rushed to him, covering up the distance between them. "Please, treat my sister, Damien. I know you can do it and that's why I am putting my trust in you. Please, do something."

"Don't worry Eleanor. There is something that can be done. I had a patient with this same illness and trust me, she is fine now," he assured and she immediately felt relief seeped into her.

"Thank goodness," she muttered and breathed deeply. "What do you need? I will get it for you immediately."

"Everything I need for the treatment is at the hospital. But right now, the situation there is not good. If anyone sees Charlotte being taken there, it would add up to the issue, and accusing fingers wou

Damien went with the old man to his room and when they got there, he shut the door and turned to face him."Dr Damien, we haven't seen each other for a while," Mr Whyte said and sat down on the single couch. "Yes sir. I have been occupied with work, but I planned on visiting," he answered politely but the old man waved his hand, dismissing his excuse. "You don't have to explain. I didn't say it so you would feel bad or start telling me what has been happening in your life," he said and eased back on the chair. "Have a seat and let's talk properly."Damien nodded and sat down on the couch beside him. "I see you are going through a lot of trouble and my granddaughter in there also caused you trouble. Even now, she is a troublemaker by making you come here to treat her when you have a lot of work to do," he said and clicked his tongue. "I spoilt these girls.""I am only doing my job sir. I don't see this as a burden."The old man nodded, impressed that the young man was still diligent

Damien pulled over in front of the hospital and his car was immediately surrounded by the reporters who waited for him. The security officers, who were tripled, hurried forward and cleared the way, allowing Damien to pass. He came out of the car and hurried in."Doctor, thank goodness you are here. A patient who fell off a cliff was brought in," A doctor reported, walking beside him. "Her condition is critical right now. She went into cardiac arrest while in the ambulance and five minutes later when she was brought in.""Has a scan been done? Does she have broken bones?" He asked, entering the ER."Yes sir. The orthopedist has been informed and he will be here now. She has internal bleeding and her organs were affected." He stopped and let out a deep breath. "I don't think she will survive this."Dr Damien faced him with a frown and scolded, "Aren't you a doctor? Should you be saying something like this when she is still alive? As a doctor, you will try all you can to rescue her. You

Damien and Eric hurried into the office and met the doctor in charge of Ethan's autopsy. "Please come with me." She led them to her team. "What did you find, Dr Fiona?" Damien asked with anxiousness while scanning around to examine what they were doing. "Well sir, we finally detected the wrong medication administered to him. Whoever did this, did it to kill him," she said and picked up the result and handed it to him. Damien glanced through it and when he saw what was administered to him, his eyes went wide. "Potassium Chloride," he muttered. "Yes. His heart stopped.""This is a big proof for you, sir. We had no potassium chloride in this hospital. Someone did this," Eric said, relieved that they finally found something important.Damien fisted his hand, "How did this happen in this hospital? We weren't careful enough. A murderer came in and did this without our knowledge." He grounded his teeth. "I won't let this off until this person is caught."He faced Eric who shivered at the

Bianca let out a deep breath and crossed her arms beneath her bosoms. "There is no need to know. You will find out what this lead is after the person behind the patient's death is exposed and Damien's reputation is saved. For you, you can only wait patiently for that big news," she answered and walked out of the room."Damn it! This can't be. They can't find anything. I made sure to clean up every trace that would lead to me," she muttered and took her fingers in between her teeth, chewing on them. She thought of what she left behind but couldn't come up with anything. That night after she injected the young patient, she quickly left the ward and pulled off the nurse uniform. She took it back to the nurse's changing room and neatly placed it where she had seen it. She threw the infection into the trash bin, and she did that so Damien would be blamed. He was the last person to put a pack of medicine into the bin. For the CCTV footage, she had a friend who was a hacker, delete the f

Mike stared at him for a few minutes before he smiled meticulously. "I like the sound of that," he said and drew closer. "What is this job you have for me?" The restaurant staff came in along with two other waiters, carrying their orders in a tray. The two men stopped taking as they set the food on the table. Immediately they were done, they left the room, giving them privacy. "Now tell me, what is this job I have to do?" "Someone was murdered in my hospital. Someone who doesn't deserve this painful death and the murderer wiped out every trace leading to them. The plan is to make me take the blame," Damien explained and Mike nodded, understanding his situation. "Oh, you are talking about the patient murdered in your hospital. It is popular news. That's a pretty bad one but I love cases like this," he said. "I want you to find out who did it and I want it secretly done. As long as the person could do a clean job like this, we are not dealing with a stupid one." Mike nodded.

Bianca walked into the hospital and just as luck would have it, she sighted Eric first talking to a doctor. "Just who I want to meet," she muttered and walked to him. The reporters were still not giving up and were gathered outside. Although, Damien had been able to escape being interviewed. She stood a few distance away from Eric and when he glanced at her, she waved to inform him she was there to see him. Eric drew his brows, wondering why she was in the hospital, but he ignored her and averted his attention back to the doctor to who he was talking. After what seemed like forever, the doctor finally left and she hurried to him. "Good day, Mr. Eric.""It's you again. What do you want?""I need a favor from you. A very important… favor," she said stressing the 'important' so he would know how serious she was. He stared at her for a few seconds before he let out a deep breath and said, "Come with me."She nodded and followed him, trying her best not to do anything to provoke him.

Bianca walked into a patient's room who was getting fed by his wife. They both had their attention on her when she opened the door. She walked in and smiled warmly at them. "I see you are busy. I apologize for coming in now," she said."Who are you?" The woman asked, with no memory of seeing her before. "I am Bianca Calloway, a friend of Dr Damien," she introduced and went on. "I know this is too much to ask, but I need your help."The couple both glanced at each other, wondering what kind of help she needed from them. They had no idea who she was. "As long as it's something we can help with, we will gladly help you. We are done eating anyway," the wife answered. Bianca nodded and sat down. "It's about the ongoing case of the patient's death. I am sure you have heard of it," she started and they nodded in response. "Too bad a good doctor like him has to go through all these," the wife said feeling pity for him. She let out a deep breath and looked at Bianca. "By the way, I am Lis

Bianca furrowed her brows in concern, wondering what had happened at home. She looked at the patient's guardian and said, "Please excuse me."She walked out of the ward and called Regina's number but she didn't pick up. Her heart picked up a fast race as she thought of what might have happened to her. Their last encounter before she left didn't end well. She remembered going back to Regina's room to get her purse which she left behind and heard her say something about been doomed. She walked in and saw how shocked Regina was. She got suspicious, wondering if she was scared because she said Damien had a lead. "What is going on? Why are you doomed?" She asked."Doomed? I never said that," she argued and tried to smile, but Bianca wasn't foolish. She knew she forced it."I clearly heard you say it. Why are you doomed? Because I said Damien had a lead that would prove he is not guilty?" Bianca went on to ask, staring at sister intently."Well, that's not it. The truth is, I wanted to u

Several agents were already spreading out, moving with precision as they began searching his house.“What the hell is going on?” Damian demanded, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him.One of the agents, a tall man with sharp eyes, stepped forward, holding up a warrant. “We have a legal search warrant for your residence, Dr. Carter. This had to be a mistake.“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, his voice calm but firm. The agent’s gaze remained cold. “Then you won’t mind if we search.”
