“Oh here! Come! Come and hear the Exclusive tale of the Evil general and his fair consort!"
The Street was always so busy in the morning time. In this village where all strived for a means of business and survival, everyone was already out early the next morning, doing what they did best all to make a living.
The storytelling sage stood before his cart of books with interested men and women gathering around him to hear what he had to say. Such people were intrigued by certain tales and there were bound to be people around to listen!
The man rattled the tale for them, all watched with Great interest and awe! They seemed to be enjoying the tale.
Asura walked through the street in his usual attire. He was looking around through the street watching as things went as always. Hopefully, he wouldn't be noticed and that was what he hoped for!
He stopped by the storyteller's company and watched him concluding his story with a climax.
"If you want to hear the full story, come and buy the second volume!" He announced and before long all had rushed and bought all the books!
Asura smiled, what a nice way to do business!
After the books in the cart were sold out and all began leaving, the man happily began packing his stuff in the cart so he would get going. He had certainly done good business today.
Asura then Walked up to the man who looked at him. "Excuse me Childe ( Young master) How can I help you?" The man asked.
"Well...you tell stories right?" Asura asked as the man nodded proudly" And you must know a lot of stories, right?"
"Yes...why?" The man asked.
"Well...I'd like to know a story"
"What story?"
"The story of the Cursed Forest"
The man's eyes simply went wild in shock and he looked around cautiously as If he wanted to check if anyone was watching. Then he looked at Asura" You ignorant fool, don't mention that ever again in your life!" The man seemed alarmed.
Asura was simply confused" Why?"
"I...I can't tell you anything...Just don't mention it for the sake of your life!" The man was kind enough to drop a reminder as he quickly packed his stuff and took off!
Asura watched him, Confused" What's that all about?" He wondered.
Asura didn't give up but tried asking other people but their reactions were all the same. They would all look around panicked. some would leave quickly without a word while some would be nice enough to drop a reminder. And that was never to mention this for his good! He was more confused.
This all made him feel that this Cursed Forest was something deep and Mysterious. Why would the strange old man refer to it as a place for power and why would everyone be afraid of hearing it?! This simply made him curious for the answer!
It was night already and Asura had gone to the drinking House where he had taken a seat alone thinking of what next to do. He ordered wine as he thought.
"Drink! More drinks! I'm not drunk! you all are!"
He looked up at a drunken man who had staggered his way towards Asura and then sat down before him.
The drunken man looked at Asura" Oh...You wanna buy me some wine?"
Asura had wanted to refuse but got an idea" Okey..."
When his drinks had arrived, he gave them to the man who drank happily.
"Good, Good wine!" The man praised.
Asura watched the man drink for a while before he learned to ask "Eh... mister...Can I ask you something?"
"Sure..go ahead. I'll answer all your questions to repay your wine" The man smiled.
"Oh...okay. So...Can you tell me anything about the cursed forest?"
The man stopped drinking and looked at Asura with a serious expression. Asura panicked. Even the drunkard was alarmed about this?
He was relieved when the man smiled and chuckled" Oh...is that only what you wanna know?"
"Yes..." Asura nodded, curious.
The man looked around carefully "I'm not supposed to tell you this...But I'll say anyway. I'll tell you the story of a long long time ago...
"There were 3 realms... The heavens, the mortal, and the underworld which was regarded as the demon realm. At this time...The 3 realms lived well... Under the supreme rule of the heavens! But then. Suddenly the demons wanted to revolt! They didn't want to be under the heavens because they wanted to be supreme. it was said the demons were so evil. They use bad and dark magic tricks of the devil! And their powers were all bad like they all were.
The Heavens then had a plan to eliminate evil from the world and bring in eternal peace and goodness. So h this... The Heavens unjustly took down the demons! All demons were destroyed and perished! Nothing was found and like that...evil was eliminated forever!
The heavens made all living things mute of this...No one was to talk about this...Else on dies...And the fact about the Cursed Forest...It was said that when the demons perished, the Forest was possessed by the souls of the devil'...No living thing could go in because all who tried died and were never seen...So the heavens banned it off..." The man laughed and drank up" Who would be stupid enough to walk into his death. This has been many years ago! Kids like you wouldn't even know of the existence of evil!" The man happily drank.
Asura thought about this "Evil? Devil? demon?" He said to himself trying to solve the puzzle. Could all these give him some powers to fight at least?
"Oh...I have to go out and pee!" The man said.."I'll be back" The man said walking off staggeringly.
Asura simply watched him leave while he thought about all the man had said. it was three minutes now and he recalled he didn't know where to find this mountain. He was interested to check it out. Since the old man had said it'd give him powers!
He looked around and found out the drunkard wasn't back yet! He was confused and wondered where he went.
Asura decided to go out and check and he left
He got outside looking around with both hands on his waist. He wondered where he left and just then he saw something.
Walking closer he saw a man lying on the floor.. faced on the floor. And when he kicked the man by the stomach to turn him around, he was shocked to see that it was the drunken man.
Astonished, he bent, placing his hands on his nose, he wasn't breathing!
Asura quickly got up recalling what the man had said. Anyone who dared speak... would die!
And then, he heard something pass by...
Asura stiffened, looking around cautiously. His heart had slightly begun skipping beats as the feeling of being watched increased and he felt like he saw someone passing by with great speed that it was hard to tell if it was human. He had the feeling of seeing shadows... Moving shadows creeped him out. Taking a look at the dead body again, he looked. The street was empty, this would give the attacker the chance to clean up a mess, and Asura didn't want to be one. He quickly walked out of the street as fast as he could and within minutes, he found himself in the busy street side filled with people and vendors. This was more active and perhaps, secure. But the feeling of being followed was still Haunting Asura. He moved ahead without thinking back and then made his way to the woodside. Asura was later walking through the forest. The night scenery of the lonely and serein
Where Asura was in was like a cave...a not so spacious cave that seemed normal except for the installations in it. The center of attention was the big statue of the red beast sitting in the Buddha Like position with staff in its hands. Red light can be seen glowing from this statue and this red light from it was what gave light to Cave which was red. Asura didn't look at the minor statues and symbolical objects hanging around In the cave. He seemed fascinated by the statue alone... The statue of the beast which had an rd-like nice and glowing red eyes sat there without movement. Asura looked at it and slowly walked up to it. He wondered what it was and then the urge to get closer and see entered! Asura walked and walked towards the beast and was now close enough to it. He looked at it closely. He hadn't seen anything like this all through his life and looking at the Plain b
"So what do you go about doing?" Asura was following Kai behind curiously as they strolled the busy street that morning. Kai walked Swiftly while fanning himself with his Classic fan. "Answer me...What do you do? Just strolling around or traveling the world?" He asked, more curious. "Why is that important to you?" Kai asked, still moving. "Of course it is. So I'll know what I'll be doing too" Asura stated. Kai didn't say anything again but continued moving. "Hot Rice cake! Buy your hot Rice cake!* Many activities were going on on the market side. like always, it was as busy as always. Buying, Selling and other means of business were what dominated the street. Asura admired the nicely cooked rice cake as he passed. His stomach was grumbling out of hunger but looking at his Stone-faced senior, he didn't think he'd be ea
Asura had beef on his mouth as he looked up at Kai, blinking in shock. What was he doing?! They were to keep a low profile, enjoy their meal and escape but did he have to do this?! The Chubby-looking man grinned his teeth in annoyance at Kai. "You... who are you!" He demanded. "Is that truly important?" Kai asked smoothly fanning himself with the fan. "You nobody! How are you judging me?! Do you know what I am?! Or do you not like your life?!" A smile slipped throw Kai's lips as he looked around" How can I Judge you...when all I say is a simple Truth? if you're annoyed by my words...Then leave". "How dare you!" The man seemed furious" Quickly! Get him!" He ordered his men. The group of followers quickly attached Kai at once. As they approached his direction intending to grab him, Kai stepped on the table he ate on and jumped over the men
It "Wow senior! You are great!" Asura praised, walking out of the hall with the piece of meat in her hands "I was impressed and proud of you! The means if you teach me well, I'll someday become as great like you ..or even greater!" Asura stopping turning to see Kai who was behind him. He walked back towards him "Senior. This Is to say that you need to take me as your student... Okay?" Kai looked at him "A disciple with bad and deceitful manners as you. How can you try exploiting the poor waiter?" Kai questioned. "Aish. it's not my fault. Besides, I had no cash and this was the only way or...Or run away in-between the commotion... But this was a better choice.. and we took it...It wasn't such a bad idea...It was a way of repaying our Help... Isn't it?" Kai looked at the blabbering young man and then sighed" What thoughts you have" He snapped as he walked off. Asura wat
The god of war smiled looking at the mortal he considered a kid. He didn't think he'd have to deal with him. He looked behind him and then at Kai. ", Kid...How thick-skinned are you to interfere in my matters, don't you fear what will happen to you?" Kai stared at him without saying a word not to talk or reply. This annoyed the god of war. "Okey...you then are stubborn and should be punished for this." He raised his hands signaling his soldier from behind to attack and just then, two soldiers from behind him flew to the air approaching Kai. Kai's ears twitched as he sensed the attack. Immediately, he swung his fan before him sliding backward in intense speed that spurred up dust from the ground. Then the soldiers landed on the floor before him. They pulled out their sword and approached him violently. The first was ahead as he stroked his sword towards Kai. Kai moved to his right
Asura was pulled by the collar and pulled out of the gambling house. He was thrown to the hard floor outside like trash. He crawled on the floor still hurting from the mere punch as he slowly looked up ahead at The fighting scene of Kai and the god of war. The god of war had beat up Kai and then kicked him by the stomach. Kai flew back on his back and fell Beside Asura. Asura looked at him sympathetically and then looked at the god of war that was majestically ascending before them. "You mortals will never learn, will you?" He asked. Immediately Asura looked up at the god of war whose face had suddenly stroke up a hurtful memory that he always detested. The sharp memory of a blood night flashed into his mind... Years ago... The image of soldiers Killing the mass and shedding the blood of the Innocent on the full mooned
Asura paused, still holding the horse by its rope. The question too was Also troubling him. He was trying to figure this out before Kai had asked him. Now he began wondering if there was something strange. But he couldn't seem to tell. He looked up at Kai with a smile. "I don't know, I'm as confused as you" He explained ", Look, it's getting late, why don't we go look for a place to rest for the night. We can continue the journey tomorrow, what do you think?" Kai hesitated but finally said "If you don't feel like saying, then don't. I won't bother you about it" Asura was quiet for a while before saying" I'll go look for a place to stay for today, okay?" He said as he left to look for somewhere they'd rest their head for the night. ****** The heavenly emperor sat on his majestic seat above the heavens. His royal chamber was scanty and quiet as always. Only the old companion
