There were precisely two mountains located in this little village. And the peach Tree mountain was one of them.
The PeachTree mountain was relatively small and sloppy. It was more insignificant than the other larger mountain that' could be seen from distance away.
The Peachtree mountain was situated in the deep forest which made it further and difficult to notice. It was an awkward and strange mountain as proclaimer by most. Legend had it that the Tree mountain was originally the stepping grounds of dead gods and immortals. The mountain by observation had no trace of trees or planets whatsoever. This was a strange omen to the people. But on a certain year when the gods were said to have descended on this mountain, A certain peach tree was said to have sprouted out miraculously. This was the origin of the name because till this day, no other tree had grown there and this peach tree remains there at the center of the mountain.
The two young men stood before a surface elevated by soil.
Asura Walked forward and then bent down before the surface. In his hands was a flower he had plugged on the way. He then gently placed it over on the ground and then stood up.
Kai stood behind, both hands behind him. He knew this was what his master would have wanted. To be buried here. This was because he had remembered his master telling him that If he was no more..he would like to be left in the peach Tree mountain.
The cry of the night owl echoed through the siren environment with whooshing sounds Clearing the surfaces.
"Do you know who was behind master's death?" Asura asked, turning to face Kai.
Kai was mute for a while" Know or not know... It's of no use, nothing can be done"
"It's the heavens right?" Asura said "I know the story of the heavens against Master for certain teachings against the heavens, And I'm certain they must be after him. So it must be them, right?"
"Junior...This was what master Wanted...So nothing can be done even if it's the heavens" Kai Said.
"But it's not what I want," Asura said "The heavens have always been this cruel... Taking lives as they please and doing all to shut up all who dare point out their doings...Is this what's to be done?"
"What do you want to do then?" Kai said.
"Avenge," Asura said with all willingness" I want to avenge Master Lu...and all that the heavens have been unfair to... That's what I want to do...and that's just what I'll do" He said determinedly.
Kai sighed" Then...Good luck junior" Kai turned, walking away with his fan now before his face.
"Where are you going? "
"With the wind," Kai said still moving casually.
"Aren't you going to avenge Master? aren't you going to get payback against the heavens for what they did to Master?"
Kai stopped and hesitated. He then said" The heart says one thing...and the will another... Fighting the heavens? This case makes me sigh reluctantly, I better live a life of drinking and eating (A free life)" Kai said as he began walking.
"Master told you to look after me! Are you going to leave me?!" Asura yelled.
Still moving, Kai raised his fan " You're not a kid anymore, so don't get into trouble! And If you need me...I'll be there...So take care junior... Until we meet again" He said walking and walking until he was out of sight...
Asura stood there watching him leave. He didn't know how to stop him since he was against the idea of avenging. But Asura couldn't follow him because he was still on this idea.
After Kai was out of sight, He sighed looking back at the place his master was buried "Don't worry master...I'll certainly gain justice for you" He assured.
"How can a mere mortal fight the heavens all alone! What a joke!"
Asura heard someone say from behind followed by cruel laughter
Shocked, he quickly turned to see A old man passing by who had stopped, Looking up to him.Asura looked closely at this old man in rags and a long black beard and hair. He looked pretty old and poor. But Asura couldn't get why he had said that and why he was here!
"Who are you? And what are you laughing at? are you looking down on me?" Asura questioned.
The old man continued with his Chuckle for a while and then stopped looking up at him "How can you ever be capable of fighting the heavens when you're worthless! without any spiritual core?! What a joke you are!" The old man mocked.
Asura looked at the man slightly annoyed. But he also thought of how that man had known him so we'll. Could he be an immoral, Cultivator or something?! He wondered.
The man had fallen into another round of laughter as Asura asked. "Who are you?"
Slowly, the man stopped looking at Asura closely" Who I am... doesn't matter... it's who you are...And what you want" The old man slowly Smiled amidst the red light from the sky that had painted the area red and dim.
"Who am I and what do I want?" Asura repeated, "Do you know me?"
The man Smiled shocking his Head" I don't and don't want to know... I Only know that your heart is tied up in a knot...A knot that can only be loosened only by revenge...So...I'll tell you something"
Asura was getting interested in this man "What's it?"
The man pointed to the big moon up ahead" Let the moon be your heart...and show you the path of destiny.."He looked at Asura "I know something that can give up the power you desire"
Asura was shocked and curious now.."What? How's that possible when I can't cultivate?"
The man chucked a while" Power can tell us better.... and our heart lies there... Can't see... can't regret...If you want this power ....Then journey to the Cursed Forest..."
"Cursed forest?" Asura repeated" what's it? and where?"
"Let the moon be your guild...Lookup if you ever need my guidance as well..."
Asura looked up at the moon but got nothing. Besides he could look back down at the man...He was gone...
Shocked, he looked around" Where's he?" He asked but no one was with him now...
“Oh here! Come! Come and hear the Exclusive tale of the Evil general and his fair consort!" The Street was always so busy in the morning time. In this village where all strived for a means of business and survival, everyone was already out early the next morning, doing what they did best all to make a living. The storytelling sage stood before his cart of books with interested men and women gathering around him to hear what he had to say. Such people were intrigued by certain tales and there were bound to be people around to listen! The man rattled the tale for them, all watched with Great interest and awe! They seemed to be enjoying the tale. Asura walked through the street in his usual attire. He was looking around through the street watching as things went as always. Hopefully, he wouldn't be noticed and that was what he hoped for! He stopped by the storyteller's company
Asura stiffened, looking around cautiously. His heart had slightly begun skipping beats as the feeling of being watched increased and he felt like he saw someone passing by with great speed that it was hard to tell if it was human. He had the feeling of seeing shadows... Moving shadows creeped him out. Taking a look at the dead body again, he looked. The street was empty, this would give the attacker the chance to clean up a mess, and Asura didn't want to be one. He quickly walked out of the street as fast as he could and within minutes, he found himself in the busy street side filled with people and vendors. This was more active and perhaps, secure. But the feeling of being followed was still Haunting Asura. He moved ahead without thinking back and then made his way to the woodside. Asura was later walking through the forest. The night scenery of the lonely and serein
Where Asura was in was like a cave...a not so spacious cave that seemed normal except for the installations in it. The center of attention was the big statue of the red beast sitting in the Buddha Like position with staff in its hands. Red light can be seen glowing from this statue and this red light from it was what gave light to Cave which was red. Asura didn't look at the minor statues and symbolical objects hanging around In the cave. He seemed fascinated by the statue alone... The statue of the beast which had an rd-like nice and glowing red eyes sat there without movement. Asura looked at it and slowly walked up to it. He wondered what it was and then the urge to get closer and see entered! Asura walked and walked towards the beast and was now close enough to it. He looked at it closely. He hadn't seen anything like this all through his life and looking at the Plain b
"So what do you go about doing?" Asura was following Kai behind curiously as they strolled the busy street that morning. Kai walked Swiftly while fanning himself with his Classic fan. "Answer me...What do you do? Just strolling around or traveling the world?" He asked, more curious. "Why is that important to you?" Kai asked, still moving. "Of course it is. So I'll know what I'll be doing too" Asura stated. Kai didn't say anything again but continued moving. "Hot Rice cake! Buy your hot Rice cake!* Many activities were going on on the market side. like always, it was as busy as always. Buying, Selling and other means of business were what dominated the street. Asura admired the nicely cooked rice cake as he passed. His stomach was grumbling out of hunger but looking at his Stone-faced senior, he didn't think he'd be ea
Asura had beef on his mouth as he looked up at Kai, blinking in shock. What was he doing?! They were to keep a low profile, enjoy their meal and escape but did he have to do this?! The Chubby-looking man grinned his teeth in annoyance at Kai. "You... who are you!" He demanded. "Is that truly important?" Kai asked smoothly fanning himself with the fan. "You nobody! How are you judging me?! Do you know what I am?! Or do you not like your life?!" A smile slipped throw Kai's lips as he looked around" How can I Judge you...when all I say is a simple Truth? if you're annoyed by my words...Then leave". "How dare you!" The man seemed furious" Quickly! Get him!" He ordered his men. The group of followers quickly attached Kai at once. As they approached his direction intending to grab him, Kai stepped on the table he ate on and jumped over the men
It "Wow senior! You are great!" Asura praised, walking out of the hall with the piece of meat in her hands "I was impressed and proud of you! The means if you teach me well, I'll someday become as great like you ..or even greater!" Asura stopping turning to see Kai who was behind him. He walked back towards him "Senior. This Is to say that you need to take me as your student... Okay?" Kai looked at him "A disciple with bad and deceitful manners as you. How can you try exploiting the poor waiter?" Kai questioned. "Aish. it's not my fault. Besides, I had no cash and this was the only way or...Or run away in-between the commotion... But this was a better choice.. and we took it...It wasn't such a bad idea...It was a way of repaying our Help... Isn't it?" Kai looked at the blabbering young man and then sighed" What thoughts you have" He snapped as he walked off. Asura wat
The god of war smiled looking at the mortal he considered a kid. He didn't think he'd have to deal with him. He looked behind him and then at Kai. ", Kid...How thick-skinned are you to interfere in my matters, don't you fear what will happen to you?" Kai stared at him without saying a word not to talk or reply. This annoyed the god of war. "Okey...you then are stubborn and should be punished for this." He raised his hands signaling his soldier from behind to attack and just then, two soldiers from behind him flew to the air approaching Kai. Kai's ears twitched as he sensed the attack. Immediately, he swung his fan before him sliding backward in intense speed that spurred up dust from the ground. Then the soldiers landed on the floor before him. They pulled out their sword and approached him violently. The first was ahead as he stroked his sword towards Kai. Kai moved to his right
Asura was pulled by the collar and pulled out of the gambling house. He was thrown to the hard floor outside like trash. He crawled on the floor still hurting from the mere punch as he slowly looked up ahead at The fighting scene of Kai and the god of war. The god of war had beat up Kai and then kicked him by the stomach. Kai flew back on his back and fell Beside Asura. Asura looked at him sympathetically and then looked at the god of war that was majestically ascending before them. "You mortals will never learn, will you?" He asked. Immediately Asura looked up at the god of war whose face had suddenly stroke up a hurtful memory that he always detested. The sharp memory of a blood night flashed into his mind... Years ago... The image of soldiers Killing the mass and shedding the blood of the Innocent on the full mooned
