Chapter 19

The dark-haired succubi reached out and interlocked their arms with Kelda’s, and the three of them made their way across the casino floor towards the buffet.

Logan looked down at the goblin in the bag. “I don’t know who I should worry about more,” he said. “You, or the girls?”

“Definitely me,” Rafe nodded.

As much as Logan liked to give his friend hell about his munchies, he was pretty hungry too. Since the ice cream parlor, all they’d had to sustain themselves was some chips, mixed nuts, and an energy drink from the gas station near the border. As the group approached the shimmering sign of the buffet area, Logan’s stomach growled with anticipation.

“Three buffets?” the man behind the cash register asked as he rang up Logan’s order. “That’ll be eighty-four sixty-nine.”

“Yikes,” Logan laughed as he pulled out a hundred-dollar bill. “And here I thought the slots were where they got you.”
