“Thanks for bringing the diary. It will be very helpful.” Morrie said, collecting the diary from Neil. She took it in an aggressive way, nodding her head to a beat that played on her phone.

“It won’t be useful.” Neil told her.

“At least, I will have some juicy stuff to read. I haven’t dug into someone secret in a while.”

“Much of an detective.” He laughed.

Detectives have access to secrets others don’t. That was one of the million pleasant things about the job. It wasn’t boring at all. It always kept one on their toes.

Neil was still disappointed about George.

“You are right!” Morrie said with a wink. “She does have an admirer. She must have had a crush on him. All her puppy eyes and sad remarks shows that she loved him.”

“I do not get why she ended up with her husband?”

“Boyfriend you mean, or fiance. I do not get her story. Anyway, that guy is filthy rich. It’s possible all Melanie wanted was his money.”
