Chapter 11

Lucian ran out of the lab slowly, a tiny smile on his lips; now that he had the system and learned more about his reincarnation, all that was left was to travel to the virtual realm beyond the dimensional space gap and return to the seas to which he had once belonged.

With the system in hand and more knowledge of his reincarnation now at his disposal, Lucian hurried out of the lab steadily. The only thing left to do is travel to the Dark Universe, which is a replica of Rhombus, which he once belonged.

The scientists' expressions as they observed him leave were ones of complete interest. A nearly-panic-inducing situation happened just as he was inserting the chip into Lucian's head, but everything abruptly changed when a bright purple light erupted from within Lucian's eyes. Yes, his sustained efforts have not been in vain.

Lucian, meanwhile, walked out and went directly home. He was told to only leave on the expedition the following day, so he wants to make the most of the short time he has left with his friends and family.

After arriving at his house, Lucian was welcomed by his grandmother, who never ceased worrying about him. He had to work very hard to eventually quiet her anxious pessimism. He then called for his two pals, Synder and Joy, who soon came.

"What are friends for if you guys kept such crucial information from me?" Joy yelled in a fiery voice at Synder and Lucian. When they both left her out of the information, she did not consider it likely.

"It's not what you think," said Lucian. "We were concerned that you would also try to," said Synder.

"try to join you idiots in putting yourself on a mission of death? Do you really believe I'm as stupid as you guys? Joy entered.

"Hey, why do you have to include me in the statement as well? He's the only one who thinks that way." As if he had been gravely wronged, Lucian blurted.

What the hell do you mean it's just what I think? were you not the one who suggested I refrain from telling her everything?" Synder dropped a bomb after Lucian betrayed him, making him seem pallid.

"It's not like that; he did it, not me." When Joy turned to look at him, Lucian accused and pointed at Synder.

No, it's him; don't come back to me, said Joy.

He's the one, said Lucian.

"You two haven't altered at all; you still

since we were kids, always group together against me.

After the two had finished playing with her, Joy finally gave up and sighed.

The two had been playing this prank on her since they were kids. The ploy always succeeds on her because she always becomes defenseless to it if she gets angry at them when they annoy her.

The two men eventually approached her after observing that she had calmed down and admitted their wrongdoings while also making amends.

Joy and his grandmother both tried to make the brief period of time enjoyable, knowing that they would eventually have to say goodbye to Synder and Lucian. Everyone laughed as they cracked several jokes and discussed humorous and poignant events from their youth.

After eating an unnecessarily costly lunch that the two women had jointly prepared, Synder and Joy spent the night together.

It was finally time for Lucian and Synder to depart for their space voyage the following day. Once more, his grandmother hugged him hard and wouldn't let go for about 30 minutes as she became very distraught. With tears in her eyes, Joy said goodbye to her two childhood pals.

The moment they exited, a beam of light that had come down from above a flying airplane drew them into it and pulled them along as it accelerated away.

Several hours later, the two came out of the plane and appeared in a large area that was crowded with many people. A sign with the name of the establishment was mounted high above the door that was in front of them.

Synder and Lucian both pronounced the sign after carefully examining it.

The phrase "Dark Universe Clone Launching Station."

As they entered the building, Synder exclaimed, "Wow," his eyes peeping around in astonishment.

"Snap out of it, we have to get going now. He was dragged forward by Lucian after jerking his hand.

Hey, calm down, guy, let me finish exploring this location. Synder appeared a little irritated.

I won't under any circumstances permit you to waste time doing that, Lucian responded in a commanding tone. They arrived here late due to this person taking too much time brushing his hair at Lucian's place; is he now contemplating wasting even more time? When will he realize how important this is to both of them?

They both hurriedly continued deeper into the lunch station till they came to a line of spacecraft that belonged to Dark Universe. Due to their placement in different vessels, Lucian and Synder were forced to part ways.

When Lucian entered the spaceship, he noticed 70 recruits waiting eagerly in their seats with the various weapons they had brought with them. weapons including axes, swords, knives, and guns. Lucian grinned as he reflected on how he had also come prepared with his weapon. After all, they were going to enter a hostile environment.

You're the recruit who kept me waiting, then. The instant Lucian stepped aboard the spacecraft, a rough-looking middle-aged man dressed in an army-green space suit stormed towards him and proclaimed with an angry face.

Lucian responds a little regretful, "Yeah, sorry about that." Even though Synder was at fault, he couldn't use that as an excuse in this situation. In addition, after a brief examination of the man's uniform, Lucian recognized him as the captain of this fleet. As a result, he needed to provide some justification in order to stifle his resentment and ensure that everything went according to plan.

Lucian was immediately the center of attention for everyone on the ship. Some of them smirked as they watched the chaos, while others had a pitiful expression on their faces.

An apology? Do you believe that my annoyance will be resolved by an apology? You had better, young chap.

When a stiff, mechanical voice behind Lucian interrupted him, the man was about to annoy him even more.

"I'm here to help with the mission, sir."

Lucian turned around to find a man completely encased in a glistening black suit and a black glass helmet that covered his entire head and rendered his face invisible.

How dare you disturb the commander, young man? Are you aware that I can. The man was back at it when the man in the black suit startled him with a move.

The man in black was holding a golden medal, which Lucian and the others were only dimly aware of.

The middle-aged man snorted and said, "mmh," before turning around and stumbling ahead. He was irritated that he had been interrupted twice in front of the recruits, but because of the man's unusual identity, which he had just learned after seeing the medal, he was afraid to offend the group. In order to keep a straight face, he had to make it seem better for him, so he snorted.

The man in black approached Lucian as he was standing there and ignored the recruits' odd looks as he went away.

"Since you're all here, I suppose I'll tell you all what you need to know, ladies and gentlemen. I'm the ship's commander, and my name is Allison Dickson. You are all on board my ship, thus you should all abide by the regulations; otherwise, you will all be evicted and sent back to where you started."

"You are to sit quietly till we get to Dark Universe Clone in about an hour and don't make any noise because I hate noise, do you understand?" Allison warned them like a teacher warning his students if they disrupted him in class warned them of the repercussions.

"Yes sir." Both men and women in the crowd had the same response. His eyes, which were very serious and acute, scrutinized the facial expression as he said, "Great."

the looks on everyone's faces.

"You've all agreed to undertake a very risky job to preserve our world. Some of you may be here for reasons unrelated to that, but in the end, heroes like you are admirable, don't you think?," he said.

Nobody responded.

But before we go, let me give you one last warning: You all have a good probability of dying in this mission. When you exit this spaceship, you will be in a dangerous area, and it will be up to you all to live and make it to the safe area.

It's not too late to back down if someone is concerned for your safety.

After he finished speaking, Allison looked around to see whether there were any deserters, but to his surprise, not a single individual showed any sign of doubt or mentioned leaving the mission. You all seem to be ready for this, which is fantastic. Now you have my respect.

This is probably to be expected. Since the governments won't permit ill-prepared recruits to travel this far, I suppose this is it. A broad smile slowly appeared on his face, Allison noticed.

The party was somewhat taken off guard when they noticed the captain's unflappable and severe countenance suddenly become cheerier. He has, after all, only exhibited stern and furious expressions since they all arrived here.

"Get the ship moving!!!"

The boring hour-long drive was endured by all of the recruits as they sat silently in their seats and listened to instructions.

A little over an hour later, the recruits heard Allison's voice. "Activate your seat fields; we are nearing the dimensional crack; there will be a strong space turbulence; I repeat; if you get thrown around, don't say I didn't warn you."

Everyone turned on their seat fields right away. Lucian looked around after being shielded by an energy membrane and noticed that the spaceship had begun to bounce erratically.

His vision blurred for an unknown period of time before returning to normal as a wave of dizziness soon overcame him.

"Okay, fellas, Once more, once you arrive, you will be by yourself. Don't anticipate seeing other recruit groups nearby because every fleet is now a great distance apart as a result of a phenomenon known as special displacement. You must rely on one another to locate a secure base. Due to the strange characteristic of this damn world, I only have three minutes before the fuel runs out, so I must leave right away. Good fortune. The voice was barely audible to Lucian and the others.

before they lost their vision.

After being whisked off of the space ship, which was quickly drifting away, Lucian and the other seventy recruits hit the hard earth a minute later.

The recruits eventually look around their surroundings as the fleet slipped from view. A sea of evergreen trees towered over them and extended to the sky all around them. Their surrounds were dark since the sunshine was blocked by their green leaves.

The company was further convinced of the habitat they were in by the wind's gentle swaying of the green foliage and the chirping and roaring of distant, unidentifiable birds and creatures that reached their ears. the settled wild.

Everyone's faces were plastered with a variety of looks as they watched their surroundings warily and suspiciously. Several of them seemed unperturbed; they appeared to have anticipated this outcome, and some of them had a look of while others tried to control their anxiety and restore their composure.

But even though Lucian was squinting and appeared uninterested, no one could tell how excited he was to be here, a location that will soon serve as his hunting area. When he turned to look, he saw the mask-wearing man standing there with an expression that was impossible to decipher.

We don't have much time, let's get to the base. Someone said urgently as he moved quickly in that direction. They all had the ability to feel this route with their chips or system, even though they are not yet able to use their systems, therefore it was not chosen at random.

Everyone didn't find it unusual when they sensed a connection from that direction because everything had been told to them before they set out on this voyage.

The majority of the novice recruits who had no prior knowledge of how this world operated drowned as a result of his quick response.

Lucian and the few others who knew something about the world saw their silly behavior and shook their heads.

Before any of the hazardous animals in the wild learn of their presence, these naive recruits hope to arrive to the base. Sadly, they are ignorant that it is impossible because these creatures live in the jungle and their hasty actions will only frighten them. They won't be leaving this woodland without a battle, that much is certain.

The black-coated man looked at Lucian and asked, "Why aren't you moving? He had originally intended to follow those who were moving quickly, but he changed his mind when he noticed Lucian acting and looking at the hurried recruits.

How should I call you? I dislike talking to anonymous persons. With a query of his own, Lucian quietly reacted.

"I'm Joanna, so just call me Joan," he said.

“joan?” Angered by the moniker and feeling like he was being made fun of, Lucian furrowed his brows and stared hard at the man. What kind of a name is that?

"Mister Smith, that's not very courteous." Joan said in a mocking tone.

"How did you find out who I am? Did you perform any research on me," It looks like Lucian still hasn't totally moved past the incident with the strange scientist as he queried with a skeptical expression.

Before he uncomfortably shrugged and spoke, Joan's body trembled in response to the query. "Mister Smith, don't be too sensitive."

Lucian saw his odd behavior, which oddly reminded him of a bashful girl who refuses to reveal something embarrassing, and made the decision to disregard everything unimportant while focusing on the important matters.

"Joan right, let me tell you what will happen, those fools are about to turn us all into ruins as we will soon be under," Lucian said.

“rumble!!.”

A loud noise that reverberated in front of them, where all the ignorant recruits were running, interrupted Lucian's sentence. He and Joan both switched their focus forward.

Soon, dreadful cries spread panic across the region and the sound of gunshots could be heard.

We are being attacked, therefore let's all be ready to fight back. All of a sudden, a big guy screamed out, letting everyone know what needed to be done.

Lucian pulled a large blade that was concealed in its sheath behind him and exclaimed hopelessly, "Ah, he took the words right out of my lips." It's time to start moving now that we've waited for so long.

Joan quickly pulled out two handguns and moved cautiously forward. Weapons were quickly submerged on both sides. The group made careful progress.
