Chapter 13

Danger

What's that?

This is not conceivable, I say.

The inexperienced recruits watching from the side all yelled out utterances that displayed their current impressions while keeping their eyes fixated on the back view of Lucian, who remained in a trance. absolute wonder and skepticism.

Lucian's accomplishments may have impressed them, but what followed blew their minds out and destroyed their previously held beliefs.

"Ahhhh," a large Asian young man in his early twenties yelled as he quickly drew a katana, or Japanese signature sword, from its sheath and flicked it horizontally at a dark chopper spider that lunged towards his upper body with its shark-like teeth to drill him and cause him to die a grisly death.

He had sparkly brown hair and was dressed in a striking golden kimono with yellow patterning. The katana sliced through its neck just as it was about to touch him, separating its head from the rest of its body. The young person docked to the side and let its body fall.

He quickly fell into a trance, just like Lucian had, while alerts rang in his head and changes were made to his body. Joan observed the Asian youth's slaughter of the dark cutter spider with a fixed gaze. His expression was entirely focused on the point where the katana met the monster's neck, and his eyes flashed with a knowing look as the sword sliced through the creature.

He appeared to have made a discovery that improved his disposition. Three dark chopper spiders, which had been focused on munching on the dead recruits, sped up to attack Lucian and the Asian young man as soon as he lost awareness of his surroundings.

The Asian teenager caught the attention of the dark chopper spider in the lead, which hurled towards him while raising its pointed front legs in preparation to rip him apart. It was fast closing in on his abdomen as its spiked legs spun around in the wind.

“woosh!”

“splash!”.

Two small figures the size of a palm suddenly grew from behind the Asian kid and latched on the dark cutting spider just as it was about to stab the teenager by an inch.

Where the two items stabbed the beast, blood spattered from its legs. It screamed and stumbled. It floated around aimlessly until it fell to the ground paralyzed and twitching, but breathing nonetheless.

You don't know what fear is, but you're about to find out. "Haha, stupid, do you fucking think that my brother is one of your targets." Another Asian young guy with blond black hair who resembled the first Asian youth and is clothed in a fitting black costume stepped out from behind the Asian youth as these words sounded out in a Japanese tone.

On the other hand, Joan immediately moved to Lucian's front as he pointed his revolver at the dark chopper spider in the lead as the two dark cutting spiders sped towards Lucian.

Joan watched the animals as they moved swiftly across the grassy plain, their legs taking one step after another even though they were moving quickly.

“paw.”

The front leg joint on the left raw of the black chopper spider's legs was shot through with a sudden, loud gunfire.

After being turned off, it came crashing to the ground and began rolling around on the surface. This was the result of it losing its equilibrium and being unable to continue regulating its pace, both of which caused it to continue moving forward regardless.

Joan's eyes flashed a gleeful expression as it fell to the ground, and just by looking at his mask, anyone can tell how glad he was that he discovered the secret to attacking the dark chopper spiders. This can be seen by looking at the expression on his face. However, rather than relax, he pointed his other gun at the other dark chopper spider and prepared to do the same thing to it.

However, just at that moment, a figure suddenly dashed ahead, towards the spider, and simultaneously obstructed Joan's perfect vision.

“sssssshhh.”

When the figure entered the spider's lower abdomen, the spider in front of him let out a scream, and then it fell to the ground and began twitching. It wasn't even a minute before it was gone.

"What the hell is going on?" Joan let out a breath while staring intently behind him at a blond, slender figure of a Spanish girl. She was dressed in a white fitted t-shirt that delineated her succulent but not perky breasts, and she wore a short brown skirt that ended at her knees.

"I apologize for the inconvenience, but there are no guidelines to follow when hunting." The young lady responded without displaying any sign of sorrow before quickly falling into a trance.

"I'll get you back someday."

Joan gave a miserable snort, but he no longer had time to care about the impolite girl. Instead, he turned his attention back to his injured victim, the first approaching dark spider cutter, whom he rendered immobile with his spell.

After one another, a great deal of more spiders from the shadows began to emerge. In the midst of all of this, the sleeping Lucian abruptly awoke from the trance he had been in.

In the meantime, in a modest office, a man with a black beard and a black uniform that displayed three emerald star emblems on his shoulder sat dozing off on his master seat while maintaining a serious attitude.

Jaden Rafael is the name of this bearded man, and he is the chairman of the recruitment department of the human base. Jaden is in charge of arranging, managing, and rising recruits who have just appeared in the clone. He will be the first person to notice that recruits have been dispatched to this world whenever that happens.

A group of five people entered the office in a flurry, one after the other, and positioned themselves in a row directly in front of his desk. Within the group of five males, there were two recognizable faces that stood out.

They were the two males who fought each other with weapons inside the bar.

"ladies and gentlemen, I ask that you kindly make yourselves at home." The man with the beard made a motion toward a row of five-seat benches that had been set up in advance and gestured horizontally.

As soon as they heard him give his approval, the five men went ahead and made themselves as comfortable as possible. Before he gave them permission to do so, not one of them had the courage to try to make themselves more comfortable.

Things are run in a very regimented fashion in the human base. Any demonstration of contempt directed toward a person of a higher position will, barring exceptional circumstances, result in extremely negative consequences.

"ahh, before I continue, I guess you already know why I brought you here?," Jaden said. public announcement

"yes sir!." They were all very forceful and adamant in their assertions.

"Then, what exactly is the reason?"

We are gathered here to go on a mission that will protect the lives of the recruits.

"Great, since you all know there's no point in wasting any further time, here are their locations which have been picked up by the surveillance cameras that the recruitment department set up in every corner of the forest," Jaden says.

A digital screen was projected, and on it were displayed five different scenes, each taking place in a different location. Even though some of the information was gleaned from the video cameras was sketchy, it did provide us with a basic idea of where everything was located as well as the circumstances surrounding the five different sets of recruits that were brought to this location by the governments of the world.

You are all aware of the next steps, and you are to take them as soon as possible while ensuring that you do not let anyone down. Jaden's motioned for the men to leave by waving his hand, and they did so.

"yeah sir!." The guys shouted as they rapidly ran out of the building, unwilling to lose even a single second of time since they knew that even a moment's delay might result in the death of countless recruits who in the future will bring about significant change to the human situation.

Back in the forest where the recruits were fighting the dark chopper spiders, the naive recruits became hopeless in disbelief after seeing how Lucian and the others easily handle what put them in fear as easily as eating candy.

Lucian peered around him to see the situation on the battlefield. Back in the forest, the recruits faced off against the dark chopper spiders. It should not come as a surprise that practically all of the dark cutter spiders were eliminated.

"just as I suspected, this individual is not straightforward." The words came out of Lucian's mouth after he had caught a glimpse of Joan, who appeared to be standing in front of him like a statue. Joan had likely fallen into a stupor after slaying one of the dark cutter spiders.

Lucian extended his palms apart and watched as a sliver of electricity flared in the space between them. His face broke out in a broad grin as he realized that he had, at long last, reclaimed his power to control lightning.

While he was reveling in his accomplishment, his gaze was drawn to the figure of the lone remaining dark chopper spider. It was currently immobilized in one location, with its jaws clenching and grinding against one another.

“Shit!.” Lucian stabbed at the dark chopper spider as he bowelled and stridden at it at his maximum pace.

“Swoosh”

When it cut through the air, his blade made a whooshing sound, and it severed the thing in half before it had a chance to respond.

1 percent of the points acquired...

1 coin was acquired...

However, Lucian's countenance did not show any signs of happiness, and his brows were furrowed in a very serious frown when the notifications rang out in his thoughts the minute he killed the beast.

According to what he has learned about the dark chopper spiders, the sole purpose for which they grind their jaws is to relay information to their queen, who is the one in charge of controlling the cluster.

Lucian experienced feelings of frustration due to the fact that he may have been successful in killing the spider, but the queen was already aware of the situation.

Because the Queen is now aware of the recruits, there is only one conclusion to be drawn: very soon, they will be attacked by a swarm of dark chopper spiders operating under the Queen's command. Because of his familiarity with these creatures, he is aware that the bare minimum number of spiders that can be found in a cluster of dark chopper spiders is greater than one hundred.

Given the circumstances, they were not ready for this attack at the time it was happening. And Lucian is fully aware of the fact that he will not be able to take on the cluster by himself without assistance.

He looked at the sixty nine naive recruits who were watching the action from behind the scenes, and then he looked at all of the twenty one special recruits, including Joan, who had all entered a trance at some point after killing a single spider.

How much longer will it be before they emerge from their slumber, bearing in mind that if they don't, they'll wind up perishing as the imminent storm moves closer?

Lucian sends up a prayer, hoping that the spider nest is not in too close of proximity to them; otherwise, there is no chance of any of them surviving the assault by the dark chopper spider.

He racked his brain for a split second and considered all of the many scenarios that could occur during the impending siege before he eventually came up with the most effective strategy for surviving it. He is obligated to educate everyone present with the predicament they are in.

In order to successfully follow out his strategy, he hastily approached the naive recruits before things became chaotic.
