The owner got closer and everyone went quiet.

She was a rich young lady whom Ethan and Dre hardly saw. They were employed by the fat man, her wicked manager, and he was the one who stood up to answer his boss.

" I told you, ma'am, these boys are not up to any good." He sneered. " They bashed my car and ruined it."

She grunted as she looked at the car, she frowned very deeply when she saw the small dent.

She was squinting at David's face, it was like she was more concerned with him than the car.

" Look, we don't want trouble." David raised his hands. " Ethan and Dre are sorry about it, and I will compensate you for it."

" You want to tell me that you have the money?" The fat man laughed. " You think this is a joke or something?"

The man wanted to make it an issue bigger than it already was, he wanted to involve the police too.

" Do I know you?" She hummed as she held her chin.

" Me?" David glanced around. "I'm.. not sure."

" One thing that is sure is that you are going to jail." The fat man barked. " You will rot there! Your friends too!"

David exhaled as he took out the card and held it in his hand.

" I think I have enough money here to pay for the damage," David said. " I just want Ethan and Dre not to get into any more trouble."

" You think?!" Dre yelled. " Bro, we are going to jail if your card fucking declines."

Ethan drove his elbow into Dre's side and asked him to shut up.

David was looking from the owner to the manager.

The owner, Miss Rosie, her eyes enlarged with surprise when she saw what was in David's hands.

" Where did you get that from?" She pointed at the card in awe.

David looked at the card and back at her, he scratched his head.

" It was given to me by someone," David answered. " Please, can we get this done with? I want to go back home with my friends."

Her shoes made sounds as she walked towards him, taking the card from him. She looked at it and smiled at him.

" Is your name David?" She asked.

David was taken aback. He wasn't someone that was well known, so he wanted to know how she knew about him.

" I can't remember meeting you ever." He confessed. " How come you know me?"

" Oh, I do know you." She chuckled. " From the moment I looked at you, I knew it was you."

Now David was confused, the more she spoke, the more confused he got.

" I don't understand." He sighed.

She gave him a pitiful smile as she flicked something off his chest.

" I worked for your father, you know." She whispered close to his ear.

David froze as his eyes looked at her. How come she was also talking about his father like that man he met at the restaurant?

He never knew who his father was and now he is being thrown into this world of people that know his father?

" I don't have a father." He murmured. " I have lived my whole life without one."

" Your mother wasn't truthful with you, was she?" Rosie smiled. " Come to my office for a quick talk."

She walked back the same way she came. David turned to his friends that were just as confused as he was.

They didn't hear their conversation, and neither did the manager.

"Hold on guys, I'm coming."

He quickly followed behind her.

Her office was beautiful and spoke of class, she was pouring him a glass of wine when he walked in.

" Some wine?" She offered.

" No, no." He refused. " The only reason I'm here is to ask you who this man who claimed to be my father is."

" Only the richest man in the city." She shrugged. " A man who loves you dearly."

" Now I don't know who he is, but I know that he doesn't love me." David corrects her. " He wouldn't have abandoned my mother and me for the entire time he did."

Rosie shook her head while she was still smiling.

" Your mother didn't tell you everything." She said, " Your father is a good man."

" No," David grunted.

She dropped the glass and walked to the window.

" I worked for your father for a long time and he was very pleased with me. He gave me these and three other businesses for my royalty and that's how I got rich. Do you think he would do that for a stranger and hate his own son?"

" You seem to know him more than I do." David painfully shrugged.

She pushed her hair back.

" Don't worry, you will get the answers you're looking for very soon." She assured him.

She gave him back his black card and took it.

"I still want to clear my friends' debt." He said.

" Don't worry, I've got it." She waved off. " You should use your allowance for better things than to pay for Theo's lies."

Was she calling five hundred million dollars allowance?! These people associated with his father were strange.

She followed him and they joined his friends again.

" Don't worry about compensating my manager, it's totally his fault." She announced as soon as they got there. " Theo! Come and apologize to the good man, now!"

"Apologize?!" The fat man said in disgust. " I will do no such thing!"

His boss was getting vexed by his refusal to apologize.

He was insulting her in front of her ex-boss' son. She folded her hands and turned to David.

"Or if you want, sir, I could sell you the car. " She offered. " Theo won't mind selling it, after all, it's not anything to him again, just pay half price and we will call it even."

" What?!" The fat man is horrified. " It's just a scratch! It's still worth a good 900 thousand dollars!"

Everyone went silent, the fat man didn't realize until now that he had just shot himself in the foot.

" I see." Miss Rosie folded her hands. " That means that the car isn't as bad as you made it out to be."

The fat man was terrified and started to stammer.

"Boss, I will tell you what happened." He begged. His face is red with embarrassment.

" Before you even start, remember that a lot of cameras are around and I can get my hands on the truth. " She warned him. " If you want mercy, better speak the truth."

Instantly the fat man went to his knees and started to put his hands together in the plea.

" I will tell you what happened." He cried. " I dented my car by mistake, but I thought it was a good idea to put it on the boys. That way, I could make extra money and also get a new car."

Rosie's lips were turned in disgust.

Ethan and Dre almost fell to the ground in relief, because they have been vindicated.

The fat man was shamelessly crying, but David was angry at him.

How dare he try to step on his friends like that?

" How could you do that to helpless boys?" David growled. " They are hardworking and never stole from you."

" It's a shame that my own cousin would do this." Rosie sighed. " I'm very sorry, David."

She wasted no time.

" You are fired from working here, Theo."

"Noooo!" Theo cried. " Please, cousin, I have five kids to feed!"

" You didn't think about that when you accused them of what they didn't do.

" She reminded him. " And also, you will fix the dent with your money and sell the car at the cheapest price to Mister David. He could have ruined your life if he wanted to."

" I think it's enough that he has lost his job." David interrupted. " I don't want his car, it's not my type."

The fat man bowed to David, all the while still sobbing.

" Thank you, sir." He sobbed. " I will never forget your kindness towards me."

David stood up and his friends came to his side. They are free now, he had saved them again.

They were able to laugh and smile now, they shook and hugged David.

" You saved us again, thank you." Ethan chuckled.

" He deserved it." David waved it off.

Dre was giving him a weird look and then came closer.

" When did you get so charmy with women? Was it me or Miss Rosie's eyes all over you?" He calmly asked. "

David only smiled, he didn't answer his question.

" Hey, David, if you ever need anything, I am at your service." Rosie winked at him as she left.
