The whole room fell silent immediately. Did David just really throw that insulting question at Nick?

Nick was a rich kid and his parents gave him everything that he had always wanted, but nothing made him madder than people not acknowledging how rich he was.

Everyone held their breath as Nick stumped and came to stand directly in front of David.

They are both huge boys, but David is a few feet above his height.

" What did you say to me, fool?" Nick growled.

" Are you as rich as you think?" David's corner lips curved with a smile.

" Are you fucking kidding me?" Nick huffed.

He turned away from David and looked at everyone.

" So this guy just asked if I was as rich as I portrayed myself!" He said. " But I will show him now. Free meals for everyone at this party!"

The freebies-hungry crowd cheered with claps.

" For everyone except Wyatt and his nerdy friends!" Nick added. " They will have to pay for themselves!"

"Oh, damn it!" Dre complained from behind David. " I came here for the free food, goddamn it!"

David folded his hands in an unbothered manner.

Nick winked at him, mocking him.

" I guess you will have to wash some dishes in the kitchen if you want free food for your clan!" He mocked him.

" Don't get your hopes up, man." David snorted. " I will pay for my friends and me, you don't have to worry about us."

Nick raised his nose in disbelief and disgust.

Natalie laughed from his side, her eyes glaring at them in disgust.

"Well, that's funny." She grunted. " Knowing that you couldn't afford a single bottle of wine yesterday."

" He is lying," Nick added. " We shall see how he gets caught in his lie this evening."

" David the pauper!"

Nick and Natalie laughed. They were trying their hardest to be very insulting to David, but he wasn't giving them the pleasure of reacting.

This frustrated Nick even more and he shrugged Natalie off to stand in front of David again.

He was glaring at him so much that it wouldn't have taken anyone by surprise if he threw a punch at David.

" Okay, you want to see something cool?" Nick tilted his head to the side in a daring manner. " Waiter, bring out ten bottles of the Red Moon wine!"

David smirked and this made Nick frown even deeper.

" What's the matter?" David taunted. " Is Daddy running low on funds nowadays? "

"Excuse me?"

" I mean, if I was as rich as you sound, I would have ordered, let's say, a hundred bottles." David shrugged. " Expect you are scared your card is going to decline."

Well, this made Nick as red as an overboiled pot and he wanted to ram through David like an angry bull.

" You know what?" Nick took out his card. " I'm ready to go all out tonight!"

The waiter was standing in his uniform in a corner. His hands were behind his back as he waited for further orders.

" What are you waiting for?!" Nick barked at him. " Get me a hundred bottles of red moon wine, now!"

" I'm sorry, sir, but it's pay before service. We sell them at thirty-six hundred a bottle, sir." He said.

Nick's brain jolted a bit when he made the mental calculation.

The whole price was three hundred and sixty dollars, which wasn't in addition to the bills of everyone that he promised to pay.

He slowly, but stylishly returned his card to his pocket as he cleared his throat.

David's eyes hadn't left him, they were waiting to disgrace him.

" I don't play small numbers like a hundred bottles, I go higher." Nick boasted.

" To me, it looks like you are scared."

" Maybe I don't take this to be a big enough challenge." Nick fired at him. " Maybe if you were able to purchase a hundred bottles of red moon, then I might want to play this game with you."

He said it that way because he never thought that David would have that money. David would probably back off and Nick thought that would save his face.

" Maybe I want to play this game." David gave a cocky smile. " What do you think?"

Nick's heart sank into the deepest part of his chest, he wasn't expecting that kind of reply from David.

He composed himself and gave off a loud laugh.

" You? Have hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy the red moon wine?!" He shook his head. " I don't think so, not even in a hundred years."

" You can't just be so sure," David said. " Stop behaving like you know everything."

" If I were you, I would be more bothered with paying for your meals and those of your friends," Nick advised. " Buying a hundred bottles of red moon wine is a game for the big boys like me, not your type."

At this point, David wanted to snap at him, but by a miracle, he was able to keep calm.

Nick had always gone under his skin, but he wanted to snap his neck this night.

But David held himself back because it wasn't everything that was to be settled with violence.

When he was done with Nick at this party, Nick wouldn't be able to hold his head around their mates anymore.

Nick mistook David's silent brooding for fear and laughed at the thought of his supposed victory.

" Yeah, that's what I thought." He smirked. " Fucking coward."

David rubbed his chin with a small smile.

" Coward, you say?" David whistled to get the attention of the waiter. " A hundred bottles of red moon."

The waiter glanced at all of them at once.

" Yeah, you have to pay first." He informed him.

David flipped out his black card to everyone's surprise.

" Who said I wasn't going to pay?"
