David was sitting on the ground in the room that had become his prison.

He had sat in the same position for hours now, so long that his legs couldn't be felt again.

He was staring at the door, his gateway to freedom. He has sat there for days now, he was slowly slipping into an ominous version of himself.

He refused to eat, he fought with the guards who came in, and he cursed at his father even though he wasn't there with him.

David's fingers were going through his hair, a loop that he had been repeating for hours.

He saw movement around the door, he wasn't going to pay them any attention.

The door opened and Gary walked in, this was the first time that Gary was coming to see him after all these days.

Gary's left hand was in his pocket, and the right was holding onto his signature golden walking stick.
