“I'm not a sinner. Let me out of here!” I shouted over and over again while I was inside the cell with the criminals who had long been imprisoned here.
“We were like that when we first came here. But no one listened to us, and no one believed. Once you were imprisoned, and you became a criminal, other people would not change their opinion of you even if you said you were innocent. You just need to follow the law and accept the punishment the court will impose on you.” The man said, as he sat in a corner and read a book. I turned to him and looked at the place where I was now.
“But I'm different from you. I'm telling the truth, I'm innocent, and I haven't killed anyone else. So, I shouldn't be imprisoned here.” I told him, at once he lowered the book he was holding, and he looked at me.“If you have committed no sin, why are you here now? If you are not a criminal, what are you doing here?” It was curious, but I didn't answer and just bowed my head.I can’t say that what he told me was right. But I have no memory of what happened to me and how I got into this situation. Just when I woke up, I was already inside the jail with this criminal people. I explained to them several times that I was innocent and had nothing to do with the crime they were accusing me of, but they seemed to close their ears to listen to the truth.“I'm asking you why you killed him?” The detective asked me a few questions, but I couldn't answer anything and I just sighed. Suddenly, he put down a recorder in front of me and I heard voices that sounded like the voices of two people talking.“Did you kill her? Why did you kill her?” I looked up at the detective in front of me now. He was the voice of the person talking to the recorder and asking questions.
Five or ten seconds of silence and no one speaks. Until I heard a familiar voice that startled me.
“Just …” That's all he said, and I knew whose voice it was coming from. It was me.“Whether you admit it to me now or not, but this recorder will prove that you actually killed her.” He said, so I stood up and looked sharply at him.“I said, I didn't kill her! I didn't kill anyone. Why are you forcing me that I kill someone that I didn't remember?” I said, but he turned around and looked up at me.“At seven in the morning, Thursday, we found two people naked in a room. A woman and a man who seemed to have a in-depth relationship. We found the woman stabbed all over her body and lifeless. While the man was sound asleep in bed holding a killer weapon. Do you think that's still not enough for you to be called a criminal? After all, you can't understand what you did wrong because you're a psychopath, isn't it?” He said that I got even angrier, and I put my face close to his while frowning. He laughed out loud and two policemen stopped me and forcing taking me out of the interrogation room.I am not a criminal. I will never be able to kill a person. That is impossible to happen.I was confused by what was happening and wondered why I didn't even remember what he was telling me. Until I remembered my three friends Eros, Mark, and Van. That I was with them when we go to the club that night and before the incident happened. I'm sure they are the only ones who can clarify what happened, and they will be my hopes so that I can clear my name.
So, when the first day of my trial came, the three of them were sent as witnesses. I could see in their faces that they were nervous and worried about me. But I was certain that it would all end and I could prove to them that I was really innocent.“I'm sorry, but I don't know him. I just saw him now.” However when Van spoke, all my hopes seemed to crumble.I can't believe, what is he saying?
“I know he's a transferee to our school, but we're not close enough to hang out.” Mark said while avoiding looking at me.
Liar.
What is happening to them? Why are they lying and saying they don’t know me? I thought you were my friends? But why are you making my situation worse? Please don't do this to me.
“Did you really go to a nightclub with Mark, Van and Sixto on Tuesday, six in the evening?” This time, it was Eros who was being questioned by the prosecutor. He turned to me for a moment before answering the question.“No.” He said that I was even more shocked, so I stood up and shouted at him loudly.
Another lies.
“That's not true! Why don't you admit the truth to them? Are you afraid you might end up like me? Don't worry because we haven't done anything wrong, have we?” I said, as two policemen held me by my arm and forced me to sit down.I feel that there is something strange about them. They both avoid looking at me, and they are obviously just lying. Perhaps they also feared that their names might be implicated in the crime that took place. But even though I don't remember anything, I have a strong feeling that I have done nothing wrong. However, I could not prove to them right away that I was innocent. Because I don’t have enough evidence and no one is helping me to solve this case.
At the first trial, I was found guilty. So I was again sending back to jail with the real criminals.
“Son, it's not true what they're telling you, isn't it? It's not true that you killed a person, is it?” What my mother kept telling me as tears dwelling down her eyes. In those moments, my mouth was just shut as I stared at her. I wanted to wipe away her tears, but I could not because my hands were handcuffed, and I was immediately taken to the cell.
“My son, don't give up. I'm just here for you. I believe that justice can be done for what is happening now.” The last word I heard from her when we got out of court.
As we were on our way to the cell, I suddenly stopped walking when I met Eros. I immediately pulled him by his collar and forcibly leaned him against the wall while my eyes glazed over in anger.“Why did you lie? Why are you doing this to me?” I shouted, but the two policemen immediately grabbed my arm and pulled away to him. Eros could not speak, and he looked at me in shock with a trace of fear on his face. I still wanted to talk to him, but the police man dragged me inside the jail.“You'll regret what you're doing to me today. I'll make sure you also experience the railing I'm standing on now!” I shouted as I peered out the small window at the door.
“Hey, I heard you killed a woman?” A man's voice from behind me. So, I fell silent and slowly turned to him. He stood with the two men beside him, and they slowly approached me.“You didn't just molest her, but you also killed her. After all, who would have thought that behind your innocent face is hiding a demon monster.” He added, while I felt the tightness in my chest getting stronger and stronger.
“That's not true. I d-didn't kill her. I d-didn't kill anyone.” I stuttered to him, but he just turned around and exchanged glances with the two men next to him.
“Really? Do you think we'll believe you? If you're really innocent, why did you come back here?” He said once he hit the wall hard and brought his face close to mine.“Do you know what kind of criminal I hate most of all? Those like you who always pretend to have done nothing wrong. Do you think the word you're innocent is enough to make us all believe you?" He added while I was looking at him in fear.He turned to the two men and suddenly backed away from me. Two men approached me and held my two arms to my surprise.
"W-what are you doing to me? Release me or I'll scream here.” I said but they just laughed and suddenly I felt a strong blow from my stomach. Not just once but many times that can't hardly be counted on the finger. And not only did I receive a strong blow from the three of them, but a kick, tweak my hair, spitting in my face and taking off my clothes that I was almost naked lying on the floor while full of wounds and bruises all over my body.
In those moments, I remember every blow they unleash on me. Because I will make sure that I also give back to them what they are doing to me now. They will pay for it all, and I will send them all to hell.
It's been two months since I was imprisoned for a crime I didn't commit. My mother has not visited me for over two weeks.Has she forgotten me? Or maybe she has already left me because she's ashamed to face other people that she has a criminal child. As the hours and days passed, my situation here in prison became more and more difficult. There was never a day that I was not punched by their fist and I could not eat properly because my face and lips were full of wounds.Until one day my aunt visited me. I wonder why she wasn’t with mom and why she was alone. But I was stunned when she suddenly cried in front of me and held my hands.“Your mother is gone, Sixto.” She said that I was shocked, but I did not believe her right away. I took my hand away from her and stood up.“What are you saying, aunt? You're just kidding, aren't you?” I said, but I know she is serious about what she is saying, but I cannot accept the shocking news she told me.I sat down in my chair and was stunned by her
We got Zero into the group of bullies, and we taught them a lesson as well. I threw them all on the floor with their faces covered in bruises. “Who is your leader?” I asked as they exchanged glances with each other, and no one answered. “If you don't tell me who your leader is, you will all be able to taste my fist. So, I will repeat. Who is your leader?” I added, and they all point the same person. I stood up and approached what they were referring to. Furthermore, I pulled him over the collar and stared him sharply in the eye. “Are you their leader?” I asked, but he grinned. The person in front of me now is the one who hit me on my first day here in jail. I never thought he would do that and form a group, so he could get revenge on me. But I wish they had just hit me, not Zero who has no fighting ability. “I notice that you're only fighting the weak. Is that all your ability can achieve? Why don't you fight me now? Do you want the two of us to decide which of us will win?” I said
“Speed, come in!”All the cells were opened, so we picked the one closer to us, and we went inside.“Wait! Who's going to close the outside?” Kaiser asked as we exchanged glances with each other. No one wants to volunteer who will lock the door because the lock is on the outside. Who will volunteer to close the door if you are left outside and zombies are chasing you? Even if I were the leader of this group, I would not be brave enough to sacrifice my own life. I need to get out of this place. I had to escape alive so that I could bring justice to my mother’s death.“What kind of question is that? Do you want to throw one of us out to close the door? If we lock it, how can we get out? What if the zombies eat the person outside? Where is your brain, bro?” Simon said and Kaiser just scratching his back head.“We better find something heavy that we can block at the door.” I said, and they all agreed, so they immediately looked for something we could block from the zombies.I also looked
Our comrades hurriedly helped to close the door and to keep the zombies from entering. I looked around the whole corner of the room and caught my eye the broom reed. I used it pushing into the hands of zombies who were straining to squeeze and wanted to enter inside. Suddenly, Simon turned to me, so he also looked for something that could be pushed to the zombies. They were not easy to drive away, especially since there were so many of them and there were only a few of us inside.“Kiko and Simon return the items. Block the door while Kaiser and I drive away the zombies. And Kaiser when they block the door, you leave immediately, okay?” when I said that they just nodded their heads and immediately did what I asked them to do.I turned to Zero who was a quiet and just watching us. I just shook my head and turned my attention to what I was doing. After blocking the door, Kaiser immediately left the door. But that still wasn’t enough for us to stop the zombies from entering inside. They o
I was horrified by what Zero asked me. I’m uncertain if he was worried about Ace, or he had something to do with what happened to him. But impossible. He can’t afford to do that, and I believe he’s innocent.“Sixto.” Kaiser called me, so I turned my gaze to him and I immediately approached him. “Look at Ace's side. Doesn't it look like he has a deep wound there? Doesn't it seem like he was stabbed in the side?” He added as we watched the deep wound Ace had inflicted on the body. Perhaps that is why he died. And it only means that one of us is an impostor. He kills, then he throws it out to release that he is infected with zombies. But why? Why did he do that to Ace? What is his purpose? And who among us is the real impostor?I turned to my colleagues inside. I looked them in the face one by one, but I didn't notice anything different in each of their movements except for Zero. With a strange look in his eyes and a grin on his lips. I noticed that he was already staring at Ramon as he
We tied up Ramon to make sure if he really had nothing to do with what happened to Ace. We were all watching him. We sat on the floor while facing him. Zero was next to me, staring quietly and sharply at Ramon. I noticed that Ramon looked at him, so he grinned and shook his head.“I never thought this would happen to him. He's a very kind person, and he has so many dreams for himself. Just one night, he was telling me how excited he was to get out of this place.” Kiko's sad in a sad voice as he bowed his head. I also felt sadness and pity for what happened to Ace. I did nothing for him to save him.Furthermore, I really didn't expect this will happen to us and why that person killing someone even though we have a little chance of getting out of this prison alive.“Why do you look at me like that?” Ramon suddenly said to Kiko who was looking sharply at him.“It wouldn't have happened to him if we hadn't kept you here inside.” He said that Ramon just laughed as his two hands were tied b
“Sixto!” I just woke up to Zero's voice when he called me as he shook me on the shoulder. “Sixto, are you okay?” He added, but I didn't respond to him right away because I immediately looked around and realized that everything was just a dream. It was only then that I took a deep breath and calmed down because I was just dreaming.I looked at Zero with a trace of concern on his face, but he seemed to want to tell me something.“What's the problem?” I asked him. He bowed down and sighed first before he looked at me again.“Kiko,” he just said, and he didn't continue what he was saying. I got up and approached Kaiser and Simon where they were standing outside the bathroom. Then I was shocked when I saw Kiko in the bathroom bathed in his own blood and stabbed all over his body. I was about to approach him, but Kaiser grabbed my arm, so I was stunned and turned to him.“He is dead.” He said with a trace of sadness on his face. I looked at Simon, but he averted his eyes from me and turned
We just kept running while a lot of zombies chased us. We were confused and didn’t know what to do. We looked around to find a room we could enter, but most of them were locked or there were zombies inside as well.“Zero!” In the middle of our run, Zero suddenly fell, so we were stunned and immediately turned to him. I immediately approached him and helped him stand up as my eyes focused on the zombies following us. Unexpectedly, his left leg was crippled, so he had difficulty running again. So, I just put one of his arms on my shoulder and supported him on the step. Therefore, our progress became slow, and we were overtaken by some zombies. But with the help of Kaiser and Simon, nothing bad happened to us, and we were not hurt either.“Simon and I will take care of this first.” Kaiser said to me as they pushed the zombies away and banged on the head. I nodded my head and immediately looked for a cell to move to. I saw some other prisoners in another room, still alive and confined ins
I punched him hard in the face, which surprised him, and he quickly fell to the floor. I was about to punch him again, but his bodyguards immediately stopped me and helped him stand up. He raised his right hand to signal them to let me go, and then I quickly came to him and pulled him by his collar while I was looking at him angrily. “Where did you take my friends? What did you do to them?” I said to him as I held him tightly. His bodyguards were about to approach me to stop me and take me away from him, but he immediately raised his two hands and then nodded his head causing them to back away from the two of us. “I don't know what you're talking about. We didn't find anyone else there but you. Believe me or not, but that's the truth.” His response was, but I didn't believe what he was saying because I know what kind of person he is. That's why I pulled him closer to me as I looked at him intently. “You're a liar. Did you think you could fool me? Maybe you were able to fool your own
“Sixto!” I turned to the voice I heard. I saw Simon, Luigi, and Wendy as they smiled at me. They called me and invited me to join them, but I remained standing where I was as I was stunned by them. What are these things I see? Are they really in front of me now? I whispered to myself when suddenly Luigi came to me and grabbed my hand which made me look at him and thereafter, we run towards the car. I was confused by what was going on, and I couldn't quite understand what was really going on, but I was happy to see them again. While we were riding in the car, I looked around where everything was peaceful and there was no disturbance to be seen there. How it's good to feel the fresh breeze as well as the beautiful sunrise that seems to be dancing with the clouds. I let out a sigh of relief because of the lightness of my feeling and I turned to look at Luigi, Simon, and Wendy again but suddenly the smile from my lips disappeared when I realized that they were not there, they disappeared
When I regained consciousness, I heard a defibrillator that seemed to be close to me. “Sixto, can you hear me?” the voice I kept hearing as I slowly opened my eyes. It was blurry at first, but gradually my vision returned to normal. I looked around my entire surroundings with a trace of wonder on my face, and I don't know where I am now besides that I can't move my whole body and I can't feel anything. What is happening to me, and where am I? I whispered to myself that a man approached me while he was wearing a white uniform, at the same time he shined a blinding light in my eyes. I tried to open my mouth, but no sound came out of my mouth. Wait, what's really going on? Am I just dreaming? I wondered to myself and tried to close my eyes again, thinking I was just dreaming. But when I opened my eyes again, I was still where I was, but suddenly all the people around me disappeared. Until I heard heavy footsteps that seemed to be heading towards where I was. I tried to get up and move
“Sixto are you alright?” Wendy asked me worriedly as she put a white towel on my back while I focused my attention on Anna, who was now wrapped in my clothes. “Don't worry because I'm fine.” The only thing I responded to was, and I placed Anna's head on the back side, and then I started the car while Simon and Luigi followed behind us. I was speechless during those moments and didn't realize that I had been awake for two days just driving. I don't eat, I don't even drink a drop of water. Furthermore, I just focused my attention on what I was driving until suddenly, I felt a headache, so I stopped the car for a while. Wendy woke up and turned to me worriedly. “Sixto, what is wrong?” she said as she touched my forehead where she felt the extremely hot temperature of my body, besides that, she noticed my pale face. “You're not in a good condition, so rest first, okay?” She added at the same time I removed her hand, which surprised her. “No, I won't stop. They have to pay for what they
Because we had difficulty in searching, we just decided to go to the capital city of our country where we can see the president, and it seems that it would be better for the two of us to face each other to clarify all the questions that are bothering my mind. We thought of getting out of that city, but we were immediately stunned when we got to the road out of that place. Simon and I both got out of the car and then looked up at something hanging up there. “What's the problem?” Wendy was curious as she walked towards us and then Luigi immediately follow her. Suddenly, Wendy screamed loudly at what she saw and in her shock she stepped back but lost her balance, so she sat on the ground. “Jesus, who the devil could have done this to her?” I heard Luigi say as he stood next to me. I can't speak, I can't move where I am, and I can't take my eyes off what I see now. Furthermore, I couldn't quite believe it, and I didn't expect anything about that thing where Anna's severed head was hangi
“Do you think we'll ever be able to return to our normal bodies?” when I heard what he said, I couldn't answer him immediately. I just let out a deep breath. I don't even know if we can go back to the way we were or if we can live as a normal human being. “If you had to choose between the two, what would you choose? To go back to your old normal life or to just stay as you are now?” he added, and I slowly looked at him with a trace of astonishment on my face. I don't quiet understand why he decided to ask me about that matter, but it seems that if I ask him about it, he might pick the last one as I feel that he is gradually liking what he is now. So, I just smile and turned to me. “I'm not in the right position to answer about that. I don't even know how long I'll live or how far I'll go. No one can dictate what happens to us in the future or what destiny awaits us.” After I told him that, I stood up and then turned away from him. I was about to get in the car, but I immediately stop
With the help of Luigi and Simon, we immediately caught the group of rebel men and got their guns from them. Just like the three pranksters, we tied their hands behind their backs and then covered their mouths with scotch tape and put them inside the cargo truck. “What exactly are you planning to do with them?” Simon asked me. “My plan will not change. We will hand them over to the police.” I replied to him, then I drink bottle water. “Are you sure we can trust them? What if they just let them go again?” he said with a trace of curious on his face. I took a deep breath and looked around. “I think that if they just release them again, we will have no other choice but to find them and bring them back to them, am I right?” after I told him that, I patted him on the shoulder as I got into the car and Wendy followed me. “Are you alright?” I asked her, and she turned to me for a moment, and then she nodded her head. “Yes, I'm fine.” She replied while putting on her seatbelt. At that ti
“You, don't you know who I am? Don't you remember this face of us?” I said to him, at the same time he looked me carefully in the face while he alternately looked at me and Wendy. Until his eyes widened in shock, at the same time he backed away with a look of surprise on his face. He must have remembered who we two were because he was the only one who shot us that day, so he can't immediately forget the sin he committed and because of that someone lost her life, Wendy. “You're the ones who died that day. But how come you're still alive until now? What's going on? Is this really what I'm seeing, or am I just dreaming?” he stammered with a trace of curiosity on his face. “What do you mean?” his colleagues are curious about him. “They were the people who fell off the bridge then. But how come they are still alive today and can still walk normally?” he said at the same time I winced, so they turned to look at me again with a trace of shock in their eyes. “So, you remember who we are?”
Our whole surroundings became quiet and the bodies of headless zombies were scattered everywhere. Whenever I looked at, there were corpses strewn about and bathed in their own blood. We returned to our car and then Simon opened the trunk where the three pranksters appeared to us where we caught them removing the ties from their hands. “Looks like we're going to need a bigger vehicle.” Simon said as we looked around our entire surroundings where not far away we saw a cargo truck which we immediately approached. “Who will drive this truck?” Luigi asked as I turned to him and grinned. “Who else?” I replied, and then I turned my gaze to where Simon was. We decided that we would use two vehicles, with Simon and Luigi in charge of the cargo truck while Wendy and I rode in the black van. We entered and locked the three pranksters inside the cargo truck with their hands still tied, and their mouths covered with scotch tape. “What are you planning to do with them? Aren't we going to feed t
