"Hakim! Get your butt over here!" A boy yelled, tossing the table that was in front of him towards the wall. Smashing into it, it made a loud noise as it fell and hit the floor, barely missing the student that was covering in fear in the corner, his body shaking non-stop as he did the best he could to look away. "I'll fucking kill you if you don't come out now!"
The boy, who went by the name Hakim, had other ideas, knowing full well what would happen if he reveals himself. Using his ability, he had made himself invisible, hoping that it would be enough to keep himself safe from Blake."Too bad for you, my sense of smell will let me sniff you out in no time! I was giving you the opportunity to come out on your own, but now, you have left me with no other choice," he said, as his nose had suddenly transformed into the snout of a bloodhound. "If I find you this way, then what I planned on doing to you will be far worse!"Realizing that he no longer had much time to hide, his mind went into a state of panic, thinking of a way to escape. It was then that his eyes had fallen upon the table Blake had tossed aside. Since he now stood tight next to it, it was the perfect object for him to use as a distraction.Quickly, he picked it up and tossed it forward, hurling it towards the person standing not too far from him. Seeing the table coming towards him, Blake stretched his hand forward, and rather than dodging the flying object, his hand began to change. As furr coated his skin, his nails and fingersbegan to elongate, and as the table was mere inches from his face, he swiped his hand upwards, his razor-sharp class going through the wood and metal, slashing the table in half.As both halves of the table hit the floor, they made a loud noise that caused the student cowering in fear to shriek loudly. Realizing what he had just done, he placed both of his hands on his mouth, his eyes wide open as his heart rate had reached an all time high.Sweat ran down his entire body as he began to feel his surroundings dull down and loose colour. He felt like he was loosing touch with reality, as the realization dawned on him that he had just made his presence known."I see that one of you is being more co-operative," Blake said, allowing his hand to fall back to his side. "Now, your punishment," as though he had disappeared and reappeared right in front of where the boy was, he swung down his claws, and what followed were the sounds of screams."Please stop! I beg you! I'm in so much pain!" The boy pleased, as his body had suddenly reappeared, making what Blake was doing a whole lot easier as a result. "I'm sorry! I really am! I will never disobey your orders ever again!" He continued to yell, but still, Blake showed no signs of stopping."You will learn to follow my orders even if it means I have to kill you!" Blake yelled, transforming his other arm as well, now swinging down both his arms at the boy. "Do you hear me?!"Seeing the horrible sight unfolding before him, Hakim wasn't sure what action to take next. On one hand, there was his friend, his one and only friend in this world, that was being severely manhandled by a madman, but on the other, there was finally a chance for him to find a way to escape out of his current situation unscathed.'The door! Now that he's distracted and not standing over there, if I run with all my speed, I should be able to make it out and get the heck outta here!' he screamed internally, yet fear was still keeping his legs still.'I have to run! I need to run! If I'm going to have any chance of surviving, then I need to start acting now!' gathering his resolve, his right leg took a small step forward, then, almost as though he was possessed, his legs began to move rapidly, one in front of the other as be sprinted towards the door on the other side of the room.Turning his head, Blake was able to pick up on the sound of loud footsteps and quickly reacted, rushing towards the door. However, he was a bit too late at this point, as Hakim had already pushed the door open, and made a run for it through the hallway."Shit! That bastard got away!" Blake cursed, clenching his fist and slamming it against the wall. Pulling his fist out of the home he had created in the wall, his gaze shifted back to the other boy who was still in the classroom. He was still curled into a tight ball, however, now there were multiple deep cuts all over his body, and as the blood seeped out of the openings, they had created a pool that surrounded the part of his body touching the floor. It wouldn't be long till he lost consciousness at this rate."Still, I have you with me. I should be able to manage with just one of you," he said, walking back into the room. "Besides, with how weak that punk is, I don't think he'll be able to survive give minutes out there without me. The fucker will either come crawling back to me minutes later, or his body parts would be scattered all over the city by then."Whatever happens to him ain't my problem now. He's made his choice and chose a false sense of freedom. Let's just hope that he doesn't somehow pull through all of this and one day comes back to take revenge. I'd be screwed if that happens."________Once he had made it out of the room, Hakim hadn't stopped running till he had made it to a set of stairs that led to the floor below. From here, he could hear the sound of growling coming from outside. The fear in him began to intensity as he began to imagine just what he would encounter once he made it to the outside world.'Wait, I can't just go out there unarmed! I need to have some weapons on me so I can protect myself!' Hakim suddenly realized, remembering just how vulnerable he was against Blake back there. Although he had his ability that granted him the power of invisibility, it wasn't really something that would help him out much where he was planning on going.'Maybe if I head towards the kitchen, I'll be able to pick up some weapons I can use. Perhaps a knife or two would do for now. I doubt they would have something else as usual as that that I could tale along with me,' he thought, already heading towards the kitchen. The kitchen was located on the second floor, and since he was on the third floor, he would have to take the stairs to make it there. On his way to the kitchen, peeking out through the windows, he was able to have a good enough look as to what the situation was outside. There were at least three different kinds of creatures he could see through the glass window. Knocking down buildings and pretty much anything that got in its way, was a blue-skinned creature with mouths for eyes, no nose, and a larger mouth on the midpoint of the body separating its upper and lower body parts. Both mouths on the upper part of his body would open wide, producing loud noises that would cause the ground to shake, the same was for the central mouth as well. Then, there were its ears, which were curved and shaped like dragon wings. It also had six hands in total instead of two, each of which had four sets of fingers with razor-sharp claws at their ends.Standing on two legs, the creature was as tall as a two-storey building, and all across its body, a greenish, slimy substance could be seen oozing off its skin. As the substance would touch the ground, it would proceed to melt whatever was in its path.'Ugh! That thing looks disgusting! Man, I hope I don't get nightmares from that,' Hakim thought, his body shaking from the thought of having to face such a creature once he was finally outside. 'No, I can't afford to be scared! Whether I want to or not, I'll have to face that thing or either find a way to escape it if I want to have any chance of survival!'Not wanting to spend much time staring outside, Hakim urged himself to rush towards the kitchen as soon as possible to get whatever weapon he would need to assist him in the outside world._______I hope you all enjoyed the chapter.I will see if I can post another one today.Hakim had made it to the kitchen, and immediately, he walked towards the cabinets where the utensils were being kept. Pulling their doors open, his eyes scanned the contents of the cabinet, searching for where the knives were placed. As his eyes fell upon a set of sharp blades hung on a metallic rack, he proceeded to take out the rack holding all six of the knives in place out of the cabinet.'All of these knives look good. Should I just carry all of them? I mean, I have this bag with me that should have enough space for them all. Or should I just carried what I think would serve me the most?' he wondered, staring at all six of the knives. They were all of different shapes and sizes. Looking at a few of them, he was wondering whether they were even kitchen knives to begin with. For one, there was a knife that had a large bladed side, the area near the pointed end of the blade curving out, making it appear larger than one would expect. Then, from the area near the handle, there was a r
The world had always been a dangerous place, whether that be due to criminal, global spreading diseases, or economic crises such as global warming and food shortage. But now, there was a new crises that had hit the world by storm, one that had changed the lives of mankind drastically.Somewhere underground, there was a table where a group of people sat down on their respective chairs, and seated at the head of the table, was a young man with a scar across his right eye, with burns and cuts all over his body.He didn't wear a shirt, which gave everyone present a clear view of his battle scars all over his torso, abdomen, and shoulders. Some were already thinking if such markings could be found on every nook and cranny of his body, particularly the women, of course. His hair was dark brown and in messy curls. His hazel eyes would gaze upon everyone seated with him, his companions during these trying times. "What do you propose we do now. From the Intel we've been getting from outside,
A lot of students feared Blake for a number of reasons, the number one reason being that he was the son of the city's mayor, meaning that he had more power at his fingertips to influence things not only in the school, but in the entire city. The girls loved him because he had a lot of power to do as he wished, and also because he was one of the strongest students in their grade. The boys would usually fight each other because of petty squabbles, or if they just wished to test out each other's strength, and in most cases, Blake would come out on top, proving that he was the strongest. The other boys respected and feared him for this. Coupled with the fact that he had political support from his father, he was basically untouchable by the city's police force whenever he would go out and commit petty crimes just for the fun of it.Blake was a wildcard that didn't care about whom his actions would affect, and now, he was ready to do inflict a world of pain on the two students standing in f
Based on the weather reports from earlier that day, it was stated that there were low chances of a storm happening. Because of this, everyone in the city went about living their lives, not having to worry about a sudden storm appearing out of the blue to ruin their plans for a perfect day. However, based on the current event that was taking place, it seemed as though the weather forecast channels were wrong on their predictions.A few more seconds later, and the shock of lightning had ended, and with it, everyone who had been hit was barely managing to cling unto consiousness. As a matter of fact, they were glad that they weren't just killed by the lightning strike."What…? Was that?" Blake was the first to ask, being the one who was still able to somewhat move his body after the ordeal. The lightning had left his clothes somehwt scorched, though no important parts had been burnt off. Then, there was his hair, he wasn't sure if he was imagining it, but he could pick up on the smell of
Although these two students were unsure of what to do, they were quite sure of one thing. The fact that someone who worked at the school had spotted them, definitely meant that they would be getting into trouble. As such, one of them was hoping that they would be able to bribe the man to keep his mouth shut."Hey, man. What's up? Why are you…?" One of then trained off in his speech,as the man began to laugh ominously. "Aren't you okay with the deal? What could you possibly want?" The boy continued to ask, sweat dripping down from his face as his body trembled, taking one slow step backwards then another."You know, the only reason I'm here is because of him, but I guess I can spare some of my time for you two," the man said, as be quickly ran forward the next second, catching both of the students off guard as they began to run in the other direction, hoping that they would somehow outrun this strange man."Don't even bother running! Your faith were sealed the moment I laid eye on you!
As the room was consumed by the bright glowing white light, no one could see a thing. Moments later, and the bright light began to dull down, and with that, came the realization that the spinning portal had stopped. Falling onto the floor, Blake and Carter were both glad to see that things had somewhat gone back to normal.Having stopped teleporting excessively, the first year students had collapsed as well, his body unmoving, laying on the floor. Looking towards the direction where the light had come from, Blake could tell that it was from this student.'Is this his ability?' he wondered, as his gaze shifted to Carter, who was still lying on the floor with his face facing the ground. 'What was he trying to achieve by doing that?'Behind a couple of the spectators' seats, after noticing that the bright light had died down, and that there was no longer a force pulling him out, Kayden decided to poke his head out from the side to see what was going on.'Blake? Carter?' Kayden was wonder
