Chapter five

      RISKWOOD CITY,EDEN-SECT

                     2060( 21st century AD).

               

 " Dad, I'm leaving for school". Kiara shouted rushing downstairs. " I had cereal for breakfast, I'm rushing to school now , I have a make up test for my math which is due eight,bye love you".she shouted and ran off the door

"Stay safe and make sure you come back early . Love you". Her dad shouted to her retreating figure through the window. "She's perfect, just like her mom was". He said smiling to himself as he watched his daughter run off to school

Kiara had lost her mother at the age of five leaving only her and her father. Kiara was a beautiful girl,tall and slender, smooth milk skin, long blonde hair which she always packs in a ponytail style and green eyes which added to her beauty.

 Her school , Riskwood high was situated at the suburbs of York-north was a school for the elite and geniuses. Kiara being in a hurry to get to school didn't look well before crossing ran in between two cars which were going in opposite directions on the nick of being hit by the cars , a force pushed her out of the way causing her to roll on the floor and find herself on top of someone.

"I clearly remember that we are being told to look left and right before crossing the road,why didn't you do that?"Zach said as he stood up and helped Kiara stand.

" I was rushing to school for my make up test, Mrs. Eliza says anyone who is a minute late wouldn't do the test and I don't want to miss it. Thank you very much for saving me,I felt as if I had stroke standing in between those vehicles."

"Then I suppose with this experience you wouldn't try crossing the road without doing your zebra crossing"

" I would always stick to zebra crossing",Kiara replied with a smile."Thanks so much again".

"Kiara,I do think you should do more than a thank you, Zach just saved your life ,he literally saved you from dying". He said stressing the last word .

"Yes,I know Lawrence he saved my life ,but all I just have are lots of' thank you' and how many people saw what just happened?". Kiara asked trying to cover her face from the peering eyes of the people

"Just me ". "I suppose". "And two other persons who were behind me". "And a guy by my right ". "And a girl...

"I get it ,a lot of people saw me" she said cutting Lawrence short while he let out a soft chuckle.

"I think we would have to quicken our steps it's already ten minutes to eight and I don't want to be even a minute late." Kiara said to the guys and they increased their speed .

"Why are you even writing a make up test,you are least person I expected not with all that brain" Zach asked

"It's long story and I'll tell you whenever I get the chance to talk to you again". Kiara said as they got inside the school and each of them diverted towards the direction of their locker".

"Mr. Dylan Jaden Russo,what are you still doing lying down on your bed by this time?". His mom thundered as she was surprised to see him still sleeping. His mom's voice startled him that he jumped out of the bed in shock .

"Do you care to give any explanation for your action Mr.?"

Dylan who had nothing to say sat on the floor looking a cat whose meal has been snatched from .

" By what time does your alarm go on?".

"By six o'clock mom".He replied with a sleepy voice . "And what is the time right now?".

" I just wanted to sleep for a few minutes I didn't know when I got carried away".

"It's fifteen minutes to eight already , Dylan , Fifteen minutes to eight"She paused and sighed "I don't know when you'll become that son I can be proud of , Eveie your little sister behaves more responsible than you do". Mrs. Sarah said shaking her head sadly.

"I am more than what you think of me and you know that,you just do not want to accept it". Dylan said and entered his bathroom banging the door loudly behind him.

His mom stood in his room for some seconds staring at the retreating figure of Dylan ,let out a sigh and left.

Dylan got ready for school and without even waiting to have breakfast with his parents and sister walked up to the car which had already been pulled up for him and left for school.

On his way to school his driver accidentally splashed water on a girl who he thought to be Dylan's schoolmate as they were putting on the same uniform. The driver pulled the car at a corner to apologize to the girl, Dylan who was not aware of what had happened was surprised to see his driver stopping mid way to school.

"Is the gas finished?". He asked.

"No,uhm I mistakenly splashed water on one of your school mate and I want to go apologize to her".

"Who's that?"

The driver pointed to the side mirror and he saw who it was 

"Drive". He ordered the driver with an expressionless face.

"But I'll have to apologize".

"You can do that after you drop me off at school". The driver took his time in waking the engine but it didn't buy him enough time because he wanted the girl to walk up to them so he can mouth a 'sorry' to her but the girl seemed to had slowed down her pace so he drove off.

Kiara got out of her class after writing her make up test and met her friend outside the class in a wet uniform.

"I don't remember it raining this morning" Kiara said looking at her friend from top to bottom.

"Ha-ha, humour me."Ashley replied with sarcasm

"Then what happened?"

"Dylan Russo happened, that stupid bunch of shit happened".
