"You shouldn't had missed her. She just left, point in time you drove into the compound."

Mr Wealene quoted with such enthusiasm I'd only seen in my father. I guess it's like an adult delinquency. Especially the father's, when they are hunting a thing and would stop at nothing in laying hands on it.

"I saw her car drove by. But I was too late to stop her. She had zoomed off."

I knew I wasn't sincere. I didn't actually want her to see me. If she did, that would be worse. And if at all, we mistakenly did, twould be under a very tight circumstance. A circumstance where neither of us would be able to communicate. 

Suddenly, the indifferent stare of her mother swept a fact past me. I was quick to grab it. 

"Did she say where she was going?"

"You don't need to bother --"

Before her mother could finish up the statement, her father already snatched the stance.
