"You didn't seem to have a nice day.

Rowe called towering behind me. His hard frame and indifferent stare running across my whole. I was seated by the bar in the second parlor. It's a private spot for knocking myself off the edge. 

"And what do you mean by that?"

I turned to him and he looked down. 

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. Make me understand what you meant to say."

I countered and he looked up. 

"You seem down. Your face says so. Maybe I could keep you a company."

To me twas as though he was blurting. 

"Go away, I don't need any company. If I do, I would had called on Caidine. I have my reasons telling her to stay in doors."

His expression said something else. He obviously wasn't ready to give up. But he seemed not to have a choice. He turned away from me to walk away but then halted again. He called at me,
