Some place.
"Wakey, Wakey."
The familiar voice came, still, but urgent. Dia could feel her eyes hurt and tried to reach her hands to the eyes but she couldn't. She resolved for opening the eyes to see why.
Her weak eyelids flickered open, then closed again as the ray of the sun from the neighboring window messed with her sense of sight, the retina. She gave it another try and she got the best judgement.
She looked down at herself firstly, she was tied up with strong ropes. She was seating on a metal dinner-like chair. She tried to relate with the new state and figure out how she ended up there.
Then the memories began to assemble in the depth of her consciousness as she tried to sort them out; she getting into a car, talking with Rowe, then a halt, gunshots, she entered into another car, then gloom.
Her effort to weave all the memories into a scene gave her no choice but to look up at the voice she
Venue: Rowe's confusion."Tell me all she said was a lie."Rowe's voice was high but demanding. His face stern and wild. His nose heaving heavy dances. His eyes keen trying to pick the both of them in his gaze but it wasn't so possible. Claire was seated on a chair opposite him and Max was standing at a far end of the Parlor."I'm speaking to a human!!!"He yelled on top his voice. Claire was beginning to shake. Max looked towards her, keeping an indifferent face. He walked towards his mother and sat beside her, crossing his hand around her shoulders."You aren't speaking, you're shouting. Yelling on your wife. Who does that?"Max let the words out, his facial expression owning up to what he had just said. Rowe was moved, he stood up at once, trying to have a hold on his thoughts. He sat down back,"Max?""Don't be surprised."Max shot again and slid his hand through the inner pocket of his jack
On a road."Hi, Max."Albert said, expecting Max's turn of the pleasantries."I shouldn't answer your call."Albert sighed, his left hand fiddling with the wheel of the car. His right foot occasionally leaving from the clutch to the break. The road seemed quite busy that day."Thanks for doing.""Why are you calling? Got a bad news?"Albert sighed,"Regrettably, yes! Rowe asked that I block your credit and your mom's but I thought of telling you first before going on with it.""Do whatever you will man. You have no idea since when I've been prepared for this day. I'll hang the call now.""How about Dia? Aren't you interested anymore. What about the bargain?!"There was a pause from Max's end as Albert expectantly waited. Then Max's voice came on again,"I thought you've switched sides already. It's easy for you. This wouldn't be your first time of doing that.""S
Same."Are you crazy, why are you standing in my way?"Rowe's husky voice filled the room. Red rage seeped in his eyes. He was striving to shake himself free from the firm hold of Albert. His eyes on the untied Dia who was being shielded by Hudrey."I'll have you killed after this, fucker."He pushed his elbow back, into the ribcage of the yet indifferent Albert. Albert wasn't really going to let him go.Then suddenly, there came the blaring of sirens outside the bungalow. The cops had arrived."Surrender yourselves and walk out unarmed with your arms up. I repeat, surrender yourselves and walk out unarmed with your arms up. Do otherwise and have yourself to blame."Albert let go of Rowe and the latter turned to him. He punched Albert in the face. Albert put his palm to his nose, trying to straighten it up."Are you a retard? Why am I even wasting my time?"He turned to face Di
A duplex."Who are you calling?"Claire asked, peering at Max who at the question removed his phone from the ear, then looked at her,"I need to know what's happening with her."She sighed,"Are you certain that he would answer your call? You already have all the information needed. Albert had done a good job."He looked away from her to the spacious grace of the luxurious parlour of the duplex he had bought several months ago. He had meant to use on his wedding night, but then there are just some things you do not have a say, over.Claire was seated opposite him on a couch, he was also seated on a couch. Dre wasn't with them. He came on again,"I need to see things myself.""I was just saying."She added. He hesitated in the first place but didn't take in the odd,"Don't tell me you are still scared of Rowe. I'm certain that it's nothing close to love. We both know that. Why
At the Police Station. "Point me to the commissioner's office." Max stomped into the office with a stern face, voice high and his pace swift. Dre was trying to catch up to him as he finally stopped before a cop who looked up from the file on his table, "What's this about?" "You don't want to know. Just point me to the commissioner or you would regret it for the rest of your life." The cop stood up raged to match up the face of Max. He shot, his jaws stiffening, "Are you threatening a police officer? Do you know what offense you're commiting?!" "Perhaps after I've bruised your nose with punches, we'll have a real case to solve." He grabbed the collar of the cop and pulled closer at the end of his table, meaning to drag him over the table to his side. Dre came to the aid and hit his hand off, "What's wrong with you Max? You can't have no response this way." Max let go and walked o
King County District Courtroom. Seattle."Arise, Court."The clerk called and all those in the court, in reverence stood up. Though it had taken like forever before the judge arrived, but at last she did. It seemed all fishy, because as soon as the judge entered, then did Rowe enter through the aisle between the two rows of benches.Everybody sat down as the judge held one of his hands up. The two rows of benches were politicized. The first row by the right belonged to everyone who was supporting Dia who were quite few. While the second row belonged to the party of Rowe and few people he had bought to heighten the atmosphere. But what was quite fair enough was that, the Plaintiff's table had the Prosecuting attorney and the group of Rowe's people behind, while the defendant's table had the defense attorney and the people supporting behind. With the Prosecuting attorney was Rowe who was serving as the plaintiff. While
Court."At 11am today, Sunday, April 22nd, 2021. We proceed with the case of Breach Of Promise Of Marriage between the family of Rowe and Dia Roshwella."The court reporter called and sat."Why the fuck does this prick keep saying 'the family' of Rowe? We ain't no fucking family."Max cussed softly, sure to keep it between himself and those who were seated beside him. He was quite glad that day, that he wasn't pigeonholed between Albert and Claire again. He was seated next to Lancy, at the beginning of the bench. The first person on the bench. He looked to his back slightly and caught the heavy glaze of Maria, Dia's surrogate mother eating at him. He smiled at her thinking of what the problem was. But then he remembered what he had said earlier. He looked away from her; knocked out of the present state by the voice of the Judge,"A meeting with the Jury brings up the need for this house to request the p
Court."I'm in the court right now."Rowe's husky voice spread across the room, at least up to an extent where he could be heard by his ex wife and ex children. He was used to noise, he didn't really know how to speak in a small voice. Made him uncomfortable."Bet you're not wasting my time with that creepy voice of yours."He stood up from the Plaintiff block and walked off it to the public door. He walked through the aisle not giving an eye to any of his ex family. He had the luxury of just few minutes before the judge would walk in.He walked out of the Court and stood at the front. He saw the Judge walking in another direction towards the entrance she ought to take; the backdoor."Speak to me. The Judge just arrived."He listened for a while, his phone pressed to his ear. Then he yelled,"What Cargo? What shipment? Are you fucking with me right now?"The voice coming over the phon
