The gunfire had barely settled when the sound of an engine roared in the distance. Marcus, still tense from the recent skirmish and the charged moment with Fidelity, turned toward the source of the noise. The team had barely caught their breath when a sleek, black hovercar zoomed into view, skidding to a halt with a flair that could only belong to one person.
