"How did you get-"
"It all happened just like that. When I was beheaded, my body instantly transformed into a child in a poor family," Muino interrupted, explaining his path to transmigrate into this world.
Tobias was silent. He held a wooden bowl filled with hot soup, served similar to how it was done in the previous world. Not only soup but there was rice and a bowl of fruits that looked similar to berries.
"Eat and recover your body quickly," Muino said.
The old man was seen starting to eat dinner with Tobias but sat on the other side. The two of them were facing towards the small bonfire that Muino used for a stove, in contrast to the wooden house furnace on his house's left wall.
Muino seemed to enjoy the dinner he made with simple ingredients, as did Tobias. Dinner that day was the first food Tobias had tasted after a week of unconsciousness, judging by his high desire to eat.
"Why did you choose to use a katana instead of the common swords in this world?" asked Muino, tidying up the utensils that had been used by both of them.
"I can't use their swords. Somehow, I don't think they match my sword technique," Tobias replied.
He opened his black sword and saw it was still in the same good condition since he last used it. However, as an expert in katana swordsmanship, he could see the changes in the blade.
The blade looked more pointed than before; even when his fingers touched the blade, he could feel the sharp cuts. Tobias looked at Muino to confirm something.
"Did you sharpen my sword?" Tobias asked.
"When I first found you among the swamp grass, your sword was quite damaged in some parts," Muino said, returning to sit close to Tobias.
"As a katana sword forger, I cannot let a sword this good go to waste," Muino continued.
Tobias nodded. In his opinion, the quality of his current black sword was already on the same level as the sword Tobias wanted. Seeing Muino's admirable skill in sword forging, the young man wanted Muino to make a sword for him according to what Tobias wanted.
"You must have felt something strange about your sword, right?" asked Muino. Tobias was surprised that Muino could figure out the problem with his sword.
"The grip is a bit loose. The blade isn't perfectly curved," Tobias complained.
The young man had felt it since the battle with Thompson, although Tobias didn't show his annoyance because it was pointless. Not only that, but Tobias also couldn't blame the blacksmith who made this sword since he didn't know anything about katana forging.
Muino seemed to start standing up from his seated position, walking over to the wooden cabinet containing his forged swords. Both hands stretched forward and opened the cabinet door. He focused on picking out a sword that he thought was the best.
The scabbard looked dark blue with a wave motif. Muino pulled out the sword and showed it to Tobias. The old man was sure Tobias could recognize the quality of a katana from the handle and blade.
"Of all the swords I've made, that's the only one I've made with focus and heart," Muino replied, taking a seat near Tobias as he invited the young man to try out his sword.
Tobias carefully took the sword. It looked so light with a neat blade without any scratches. The sharpness of the sword almost matched his black sword, making him instantly taken with the specialty of this blue sword.
"Can I take this sword? I'll pay for it with some-"
"MUINO! Come out!" someone interrupted from outside the house.
Tobias spontaneously looked at Muino. The old man seemed to be staggering with a pale face, unusual for a person Tobias considered to be calm. He stood with both hands shaking, terrified of someone shouting his name outside the house.
"Who are they?" asked Tobias, putting on a serious face at Muino's frightened response.
"They're debt collectors, even though I promised to pay off my debts next month," Muino said, trying to remain calm as he walked towards the door of his wooden house.
As the door opened, three men appeared with weapons in their hands. They were big and burly and looked like criminals. Seeing the obvious difference between Muino and the three made the old man tremble even more.
"You must pay your debts today!" snapped one of the men, glaring at Muino like he was intimidating the helpless old man.
"I-I've proposed an agreement to pay off the debt next month, not today," Muino said, keeping his voice low so the three wouldn't get angry.
"What?! You don't want to pay?" snapped one of the men as he violently pushed Muino's body to the ground.
"HEY!" shouted Tobias, trying to break up their fight.
Tobias walked over to Muino and helped the old man to his feet. Seeing Muino being helped by someone caused the three burly men to become so enraged that they intended to hurt both of them.
"Who are you?!" snapped the man who had pushed Muino.
"I'm the one who was saved by him. You have no right to collect the debt before it's due!" snapped Tobias, protecting Muino with his right hand and holding the sheathed sword.
"Stay out of his business!" groaned the man, walking over with his axe pointed at Tobias' face.
"If he can't pay his debt today, then I won't hesitate to kill him and take the goods in this place!" the man continued as the other two men began to walk in and shuffle around Muino's house until many of the tools were damaged.
"Get out of the way, or I'll kill you too!" said the man with the axe, giving Tobias an ultimatum not to interfere with Muino's business.
"G-Go away. You don't get involved in my business," Muino pleaded.
The old man sacrificed himself so that Tobias could survive the danger this time. However, Tobias grew and developed as a warrior while still a Taichi. He could not let his savior suffer and die.
Seeing Muino's frightened face made Tobias start to take things seriously. The corners of his eyes sharpened, and his eyebrows furrowed while staring at the three men before him. They had really made Tobias' heart burn with anger.
"Tell me. Is your house far from the village?" asked Tobias, his voice flat with a strong expression.
Muino nodded his head. It was quite a distance from the nearest neighborhood, unlike the distance to the forest, which was much closer. Tobias started to stand up with his right hand grasping the sword handle.
"Do you have the guts to threaten us?" asked the man holding the axe, taking Tobias' ability lightly.

Tobias drew his sword and spun his body to make white light shine inside the wooden house. Seeing Tobias being able to swing the sword made the three men startle with frightened expressions.
Although they were unharmed, they were trembling with fear because this was the first time they had seen someone swinging a sword with magic. The three of them regrouped while pointing their weapons at Tobias.
"Do you still want to blackmail him?" asked Tobias, speaking loudly with the blade tip pointed at the three men.
Tobias stepped forward while the three men took a step back. They realized they wouldn't be able to win against Tobias, so the three chose to leave Muino's residence.
They ran away fast until only Tobias and Muino were left in front of the wooden house. This problem wouldn't be solved quickly. The only way for Muino to escape from them was to pay his debts.
"They might come again another time. You'd better start preparing," Tobias pleaded.
"Thank you for saving me," Muino said. Tobias nodded his head.
"I will buy this sword at a high price. I have to return to Stratham to get the money," Tobias said. Muino nodded, happy that Tobias would buy one of his swords.
"You can leave tomorrow, use my horse to make your journey quick," Muino said.
Tobias turned around, looking at Muino while thanking him for his kindness. He and Muino returned to the house to rest, but when Tobias was about to enter through the door, his head suddenly became dizzy, and his body fell to his knees helplessly.
"Akh... my head hurts!" complained Tobias.
"Get some rest. Maybe your sword technique has taken a toll on your body."
*** The next day. Tobias' health was much better than last night. The headache that had hit his head disappeared three hours after the fight with the debt collectors. Now, he woke up earlier than Muino, who still slept on his bed. He took a piece of paper and left a message for the old man. It was a promise to come back after arriving in Stratham. Tobias also thanked Muino for letting him borrow his horse and gave him his best sword. "Hey, Amu," Tobias said, summoning his divine system. [Yes. Do you need anything, Master?] "How many people came from the same world as me before?" asked Tobias. [Transmigration of souls is the authority of the gods. A system like mine created by them wouldn't be able to figure it out] "I see, huh? Looks like I'll have to find out myself," Tobias replied. Once everything was ready, the young man stepped out of the house while carrying two swords on his body's right and left sides. He walked near the stables and found two horses already awake; they
It was a short distance to Stratham Town. He could see rows of houses damaged by the war through the forest's trees. Tobias stopped his brown horse as he looked around the area.He dismounted with his right hand clutching his black sword. Tobias did it for no reason. His warrior instinct told him that this area was surrounded by Valcke's troops."Get out," Tobias said. What he guessed was right, ten Valcke troops came out from their hiding place. The ten men spread around Tobias until they formed a circle and surrounded the young man."You must be one of the reinforcements!" said one of them.Tobias was silent. He held his black sword with both hands, alert with a strong stance. The threat this time was real enough for Tobias. If he failed to fight them, he would be killed."I'm not an army of reinforcements. I came to Stratham to find my family!" Tobias moaned.Hearing Tobias' words made the ten soldiers surrounding him laugh out loud. They thought the young man was a madman looking
As Tobias agreed to their offer, the back gate of Archibald's residence opened, allowing Tobias to leave the house and the city. None of Valcke's soldiers dared to approach him or even attack Tobias. Several people had been injured by Tobias' attacks; Valcke's soldiers were not stupid. Safety was more important than the man's life which wasn't worth a platoon of Valcke troops. "Bring the wounded troops to be treated. Make sure none of the soldiers attacks him," said the man who used magic, his higher position than the soldiers made them immediately obey the man's words. "Why did you let him go? Couldn't he be a threat to us in the future?" asked one of the men who happened to be standing near the magic user. "If we don't release him, I'm afraid he'll kill everyone in this place," explained the man, thinking of the worst that could happen if Tobias got angry and killed everyone in the Archibald residence. "His power is truly extraordinary and unknown to us. The wise choice is to le
"What?" asked Tobias, surprised."Who are you? Why are you full of blood?" asked Giselle, staring intently at the young man standing outside the border.Tobias' hands raised, touching his cheeks, and he felt the blood all over his face. No wonder Giselle asked such a question since Tobias' face was completely covered."Give me some water," Tobias asked one of the border guards. The man wearing armour handed Tobias a bottle of water available at the border post. The young man washed his hands and face, making his skin tone and look clearly visible to Giselle. The woman was in shock, stunned, with her mouth agape. Her hands and body shook as she saw Tobias, her brother, who she thought was dead, standing firmly in front of her."T-Tobias...?" asked Giselle, confirming with teary eyes."It's good to see you, Giselle," Tobias said, smiling. The border gate opened, and Giselle hugged the brother she had missed so much without hesitation. Tobias also embraced Giselle's body, his heart relie
*** The next day Tobias' health was much better than yesterday; even the young man felt he had fully recovered. He wore navy blue long-sleeved clothes with black pants, both of which Giselle had prepared before. On the right and left waist, two katana-type swords of different colors were attached; one was dark blue, while the other was black. For the next several battles, Tobias would use the black sword instead of the blue one since he didn't have full rights to it yet. There was a soft knock on the door to Tobias' room. The young man ordered the man to open the door, revealing a soldier wearing white armor standing behind the door. A soldier with white armor indicated that he was part of the city and noble forces, while a soldier with black was a royal soldier. "Lady Giselle expects your presence in the town square," the man replied. Tobias nodded as he told him that he would be leaving soon. Tobias walked over to the medium-sized mirror on the wall. The young man could see tha
"They have more men than Langdale. I'm sure these men can handle this war," Tobias replied.Honestly, his heartfelt upset that he could not participate in helping Equestria's army to fight Valcke. Tobias was sure Giselle felt the same way, demeaned that she had not reached the level of a magic user capable of fighting a war."But what about Mom and Luke? Are you going to ignore them?" Giselle asked."I miss them. I want to save them as well. I'm pretty confident they can rescue them both," Tobias replied. He assured Giselle there was nothing to worry about in this war. Tobias could see from the seriousness of the soldiers that they had the passion to stop the war. While they were talking, a black-armored soldier walked over. Both hands seemed to be holding the saddle ropes of a neighing horse. The soldier said Giselle and Tobias could leave on the horses."My lord gave this horse because of his generosity. Take it and do his command well," t
"Yes. We are the House of Archibald," Tobias replied. The two people in front of Tobias couldn't hide their surprise. It never came to their minds that their children would be trained by the honorable nobles of the Atrea region. They bowed low, feeling honored that the House of Archibald would accept their two children."We don't know how to thank you, Lord and Lady Archibald," the man replied."You don't have to do that. Live healthy and happy. That's what you should do for your children," said Giselle."Raise your head. There's no need to kneel like that," Tobias pleaded. The young man hated such an attitude so much that he felt they were lower in status than the nobles. Since Tobias was still Taichi, the culture of mutual respect and not being arrogant over titles was deeply ingrained in him. That was why he didn't like when people thought they or other nobles were special. Tobias' different attitude amazed the two of them. They were so lucky to meet Tobias and Giselle. The two sta
"What does that mean?" asked Theo.He said so because he did not have divine abilities like his sister, Mira. Giselle was pretty sure the recent panel was a signal that Mira could cast divine spells, especially in healing magic."You could say your sister was chosen by God with divine abilities," Giselle replied."Mira has powers that most people don't have," Tobias said."Would I get it too?" asked Theo, curious."I don't know, you might get it, maybe not," Tobias replied.Giselle crouched before Mira, rubbing her head as she thought she was lucky. Giselle would not stop teaching Mira until she became a great priest if things were going like this.Even though Mira was his sister, Theo didn't seem happy when much attention started falling on the girl. Tobias realized just as the man watched the facial lines of the boy beside him.Tobias shook his head, not wishing to assume Theo had an acre of the heart disease of envy. Tobias
