The village he was heading to was Leafvile, a small village atop a hill and quite a distance from the western gates of Valestria.Tobias knew the name because Leafvile was the only village west of Valestria. The young man tried asking every person he met, and most of them mentioned the same name.
From afar, the western gate of Valestria was visible, with merchants passing in and out of the city. The guard was the same as the guard at the east gate. There was no difference even though the war location was east of Valestria.
Tobias got out easily, using the gold plate of Archibald's nobility, which surprised the three gate guards. One of the three guards continued to watch Tobias leave through the dirt road toward the direction behind the hill. He had no idea what the young nobleman's destination was.
