38: Confrontation

While the nurses prepared the VIP room, Irene and Alessia moved to the rooms that Lisa and Howard were initially in.

Irene rushed inside the room.

There were two beds beside each other, only separated by two chairs.

Irene moved to the first bed, where Howard was.

Alessia watched her from the door. She was so moved and sad by the situation. Howard seemed to be doing fine, in a vegetative state, but Lisa was heavy on the machine.

“Excuse me,” Someone said behind Alessia, and she turned to the person. “The VIP room is ready. We will move them now.”

Alessia nodded once and turned to Irene. “We should leave now and let them do their jobs,” he suggested.

Irene nodded once and stepped back. “I just hope my daughter is alright.”

“She will be; I'm sure of it,” Alessia assured. “But you need to get some food and get changed as well.”

Irene shook her head briefly. “I'm not going to get anything until they start something, and I'm sure my family is doing well,” she said stubbornly.
