Kevin sighed and believed instantly that Mia’s motivation was not at all pure.

Someone who had never allowed him to kiss her suddenly wanted him to sleep with her?

It just wasn't even making any sense to him.

“To apologise or to ask for help?” Kevin asked to be sure.

There were a few minutes of silence, as if Mia was thinking about it. Then she took a step forward.

“Like I said, we haven't even gotten divorced yet. So, just think of it as something we are doing as a couple that we are,” she muttered.

Kevin scoffed. “Really?” He was shocked and sceptical.

Mia nodded once. "Yes, or is there something else you want?”

Mia was sure there would never be. Every man always dreamt of touching their wife, and Mia had refused Kevin for over a year now. There was nothing else he could want.

Kevin inclined his head to one side as he pretended to be thinking about it. “Why do you think this is what I want?”

Mia hesitated. “Our one-year anniversary was two weeks ago, and we have never kissed or even
