Kevin woke up the next morning feeling exhausted. His body ached due to the fight yesterday. Still, he couldn't dwell on it too much. He had a lot of things to do today.

He had a new company to bring to life and standards to set—and he wouldn’t tolerate mediocrity from anyone. He had worked too hard for this. After showering and getting drrssed, he grabbed his phone and called Jake, asking him to come pick him up.

Fifteen minutes later, Jake arrived, and as Kevin climbed into the passenger seat, Jake greeted him with his usual happy energy.

"Good morning, sir," he said with a smile as he pulled into the road.

“Morning, Jake.” Kevin rubbed his forehead, feeling a slight headache “Let’s go over the furniture situation at the new office. Did you do the report I asked you for on the faulty chairs and desks?”
