Chapter 12: Fight To Complete Missions!

However, as the saying goes, enemies instantly see red blood when they meet. Thinking of being beaten by Benjamin and having a broken nose that had yet to heal, Corbin's anger flared up.

"Apologize?! Ha ha ha, if you are sincere, then kneel. Just kneel and bow three times in my direction, and I will forgive you."

Hearing Corbin speak like that, Benjamin's eyes momentarily widened. Then, he looked at Corbin and smiled.

"If Mr. Corbin agrees to sign a contract with our company, I wouldn't mind kneeling and bowing nine or even ten times. However, will you keep your word after you say it? After all, you made many promises last time but didn't fulfill them."

In the face of Benjamin's sarcasm, Corbin's face didn't show any anger. On the contrary, he seemed pretty pleased and laughed loudly.

"Ha ha, if you want to come here to sign a contract, not only will you have to kneel and bow to me three times, but I also want you to come here and lick my shoes. We can discuss the contract later if you can do these two things."

"Ha ha ha…."

As soon as Corbin spoke, the security guards here couldn't help but join in the laughter. Benjamin's face, at this point, turned dark.

"It seems Mr. Corbin doesn't want to accept my apology?"

Benjamin realized that Corbin had no intention of reconciling with him from the beginning. Furthermore, judging by his demeanor, he might be looking for an excuse to fight him.

For a moment, he felt a twinge of unease. At this point, Corbin's face revealed an extremely fierce expression.

"Hmph, if you want to apologize, go to hell and do it!"

After that, he glanced around and shouted.

"Attack! If you do kill him, I'll cover all the expenses. Plus, everyone will get a full month's salary as a bonus!"

Upon hearing their boss's order and the promise of a bonus, the security guards' eyes gleamed, looking at Benjamin as if they saw money in their pockets.

"Go, let's beat him down!"

No one knew who shouted, but the rest couldn't resist the temptation of money and all charged forward, attacking Benjamin.

At this moment, Benjamin's face had become solemn. He didn't care about the security guards present. However, this matter involved the contract signing between Isabella's company and Corbin, which was related to the money for his sister's treatment.

In an instant, he decided in his heart. His eyes became incredibly sharp, staring intently at Corbin, standing outside, enjoying the spectacle.

"Corbin, you're forcing my hand. If anything goes wrong, don't blame me."

As soon as he finished speaking, Benjamin's body moved like a snake, suddenly changing direction and heading straight toward the two bodyguards standing beside Corbin.

Instantly, the others were shocked and shouted out in alarm.

"Watch out!"

"Be careful!"

However, the two bodyguards' reactions differed from Benjamin's speed. There were two loud thuds, and then Benjamin sent the bodies of the two bodyguards flying.

Boom!

From within the cloud of dust, no one could see the situation of the two bodyguards. But after a while, both of them remained motionless, lying still. All the other security guards felt a chill down their spines at that moment.

Meanwhile, Corbin's throat was tightly gripped by Benjamin. Terrified sounds emerged from between his clenched teeth.

"What... what do you want?"

But in response to his words, a hand landed squarely on his face.

Smack!

On Corbin's face, a vivid red handprint appeared. Rage swelled within Corbin's chest.

"How... dare you..."

Smack!

"You..."

Slap!

Smack!

Every time Corbin tried to speak, Benjamin's hand coldly struck him down. After a while, Corbin's face had become swollen. Even his closest acquaintances might not recognize him now.

At this point, the security guards were pale with fear. None of them had expected the situation to unfold like this.

"Don't... don't hit... please stop... I agree with you..."

Smack!

With his head spinning from the blows, Corbin finally couldn't take it anymore and raised his hand to surrender to Benjamin. But as soon as he began to speak, Benjamin's hand struck him without hesitation. Then, Benjamin stared at him with a deeply suspicious look.

"What did you just say?"

Seeing Benjamin's demeanor, Corbin's anger surged. However, the pain from his swollen face quickly sobered him up, and he forced a smile.

"Benjamin, I agree with your demands. Please stop hitting me."

But because his face was so swollen, Corbin's smile was a hundred times worse than a grimace. Fortunately, Benjamin didn't want to continue fighting with him.

He quickly stood up and helped Corbin rise from the ground. Moreover, he purposely adjusted Corbin's clothes before speaking with a smile.

"If only you had agreed from the beginning, you wouldn't have had to go through all this trouble. Look, even my hands have turned red from hitting you."

Gazing at Benjamin's hand, then at the smile on his face, Corbin could not understand why he felt the urge to attack him. However, he was no fool. By now, he realized that Benjamin was not someone to be trifled with. Benjamin's recent display of fighting prowess alone had earned Corbin's respect.

Furthermore, Corbin sensed Benjamin's subtle yet lethal aura emanating from Benjamin – an unfamiliar atmosphere among ordinary thugs. At the very least, Benjamin had taken a few lives. Considering these factors, Corbin couldn't help but wonder if Benjamin's true identity was far more complex than it appeared.

Such a person should either be eliminated immediately or befriended. After much contemplation, Corbin decided on the latter approach. He wanted to use the collaboration between the Walsh Family and the Taylor Group, led by Isabella, as a bridge to dissolve the animosity between them quickly.

Accepting the contract from Corbin, Benjamin's face brightened. He grabbed Corbin's wrist, shaking it several times.

"Corbin, thank you for your cooperation. We can meet and talk later. For now, please excuse me."

Watching Benjamin leave, Corbin breathed a quiet sigh of relief. Meanwhile, the security guards regained their composure and glanced at the motionless 'bodies' of the two fallen guards on the ground.

...

"Wife, my mission is complete. Are you satisfied or... not?"

Returning to the office with the contract, Benjamin felt exhilarated. Instead of calling Isabella, he rushed to her office to share his triumph. However, his excitement faded when he noticed another man in her office, chatting happily with her. Moreover, there was a massive bouquet of roses on Isabella's desk. His expression darkened.

At that moment, Isabella looked annoyed when she saw Benjamin enter her office. Yet, recalling the earlier incident with her sister, she didn't lash out.

Only Winston greeted Benjamin with a smile and a nod.

"Sorry, how awkward! I was just about to invite Isabella for dinner, and I didn't expect to see you here. Please join us for a meal at the Diamond Hotel. I've heard the food is fantastic, and the prices are quite reasonable. What do you say, would you like to join us?"

Although Winston spoke politely to Benjamin, his eyes held a provocative challenge, infuriating Benjamin. Clenching his teeth, he wanted to punch Winston right there and then.

However, not wanting to cause a scene in front of Isabella, Benjamin decided against it. After a moment of thought, he walked up to Isabella, took out the contract, and placed it on the table.

"Isabella, this is the contract with the Walsh Company. I've helped you finalize the signing."

At first, when Isabella saw Benjamin's rude attitude toward Winston, she felt uncomfortable and wanted to scold him for a few words. However, upon seeing the contract she had tried so many tricks to obtain yet was unable to complete, now right in front of her, she momentarily looked at Benjamin with a hint of astonishment.

"How... how did you manage to do this?"

'Piece of cake!' Of course, Benjamin only dared to think these words in his heart. He didn't dare to tell Isabella the whole truth either. Shrugging slightly, Benjamin pretended to shake his head and said,

"You don't need to know how. Anyway, the contract is now complete. Shouldn't you give me a little reward?"

He deliberately said these words in front of Winston. He even pretended to wink as if to signal Isabella secretly. However, Isabella would not cooperate with him to act in front of her crush. So, her expression instantly turned cold. Then, in a very rigid tone, she replied,

"Securing the contract is a major accomplishment. Once the board decides, I will distribute the rewards to you."

"Hehe, so tonight, can you..."

"Shut up!"

While Benjamin tried to thicken his face and express his intimate feelings for Isabella in front of Winston, her dissatisfied voice rang out, causing his smile to freeze.

Next, Isabella turned to Winston and said,

"Winston, you go downstairs first. I'll finish up some work here and follow you down later."

Seeing Isabella addressing another man so intimately before him, Benjamin couldn't help but feel furious.

However, seeing Winston's mocking gaze, Benjamin snorted. Winston then turned and left.

At this moment, Isabella's gaze became extremely uncomfortable as she looked at Benjamin.

"Don't think that you can say whatever you want just because you've secured the contract from the Walsh Company. Remember, if it weren't for you causing trouble in the first place, the contract wouldn't have needed your intervention."

Isabella scolded him, but this time Benjamin didn't get angry. Instead, he smiled cheerfully and said,

"Boss, I'm just asking for a normal bonus, not demanding excessively. Are you angry because you misunderstand something?"

"You..."

This time, provoked by Benjamin's words and unable to refute them, Isabella felt frustrated and annoyed. However, she needed help to clarify what Benjamin had just said. Could it be that he was doing it on purpose?

Of course, Benjamin was indeed doing it intentionally. However, he wasn't foolish enough to explain it clearly. He waited for Isabella to leave angrily and then slowly followed her.

"Why are you following me? I don't need you to take me home today. You can proceed!"

Seeing Benjamin trailing behind her, Isabella stopped and questioned him.

At that moment, Benjamin appeared utterly nonchalant. He glanced at Winston, who was standing next to his car, shrugged, and said:

"Didn't he invite me to join you two for dinner at the Diamond Hotel? I'm quite hungry right now, so is it okay to come for dinner with you both?"
