Andrew hurried into the living room with Edward and his wife.

They saw Margaret at once, sitting on the floor covered with wounds. Edward was displeased.

“Margaret, what happened to you? Who hit you?”

Margaret sobbed and pointed at Eugene.

“Eugene Booth, are you trying to pick a fight? How dare you hit my sister!” Edward gritted his teeth and grabbed Eugene’s collar.

“Let me go. You should first ask me why I hit her,” said Eugene.

Edward was stunned momentarily before scolding, “Let you go? No matter what mistake she made, it doesn’t give you the right to hit her. We’re not dead yet.”

“This is my last warning. Let me go.” Eugene shifted his gaze toward Edward.

“How brave, Eugene, yelling at your brother-in-law like that. By the look of things, you’ll hit Edward next, won’t you?” Edward’s wife crossed her arms and chided.

She had just finished speaking when Eugene kicked Edward in the stomach.
