Chapter 39
Beefy Bob knew he must have let some information slip for Old Taylor to come all the way here to look for them. This went against Isaac’s principle to stay low-key.

“Have a seat. Beefy Bob, go make some tea,” Isaac shouted at Beefy Bob when he saw Allegra turn to enter the kitchen.

Old Taylor had seen Isaac at one of the camps in Mt. Sparrow three years ago. He was also aware that Isaac’s identity was top secret. Thinking back, he realized he had almost let the cat out of the bag earlier.

When Allegra came out of the kitchen, she thought these people were Isaac’s relatives. She didn’t ask further and simply left the house to get groceries.

Old Taylor engaged in small talk with Isaac for a bit. Then, he waved at the man with the buzzcut. “Grant, bring the items over.”

The man with the buzzcut took out an exquisite gift box and handed it to Old Taylor.

Inside the box was an intricate chalice. Its carvings were distinct, and its surface was smooth and clear.
