The two families had put in a lot of time to prepare for today's engagement ceremony. It had taken them a long time to get to this point, so they didn't want to call things off like that.

Seeing both families begging as well as Aiden kneeling before him, Isaac nodded and said, "I'll do my best, but whether it works out or not, you can't blame me."

"Thank you so much, Mr. Garten," Terence said.

Terence had no idea what Isaac and Connor discussed. Even at his rank, he was still far from Connor's position, much less Isaac's.

Since Isaac was willing to help, then he just counted his blessings.

They went to Diana's room. Everyone else stood outside the door; only Isaac went in alone.

Diana had already changed into her favorite athletic wear, standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. When she heard footsteps, she said coldly, "I already said you don't have to give me advice. Even if I had to remain single for the rest of my life, I still wouldn't marry him."
