CHAPTER 44

The wall clock ticked to her hearing, it wasn't that loud in sound, but because she was deep in thought, it sounded noisy to her.

She kept glaring at the clock but was unable to take action towards it. There is nothing she can do to it other than to stop it from ticking which she doesn't want to do.

Her eyes found her well-arranged bed, and her lips pulled into a slight smile. She needs to go to bed now rather than sticking herself into a thought that seems like forever.

She climbed onto the bed and enveloped herself with the blanket, trying so much to fall asleep but she couldn't.

What the hell is truly wrong with her? Is she truly okay or just trying to comfort herself when she can't? Those questions continuously rang in her ear but she couldn't get an answer to them.

It's vivid that she can't sleep, she can't shut her eyes down for some minutes again. The only image that keeps appearing on her face is little Chloe and her father.
