CHAPTER 2 1

The intractability of Lina's mood could not even be resolved by the tantalizing perfume she inhaled from Pakyle's cloth as she hugged him, crying like a baby. The old man patted her back again, gradually taking her off from his body. Though Lina did disengage from him but reluctantly, drying her tears. Pakyle sat with her on a bed.

"Lina, you're the strongest woman I have ever known. What could burst your tears gland uncontrollably like one who has loss hope in life?" he waited for the girl to let the cat out of the bag. Yet, she kept sniffing in tears. "Lina," Pakyle continued. "If it's about your biological parents, fate will...."

"It's not it!" she interrupted with a gaze at the old man who could still see tears in her eyes. "You are my parents, sir. You've been a father and a mother to me since childhood that I do not even wish to meet my biological parents. If they needed me, I wouldn't have been found on the street as a baby."
