Alex’s POV A daily quest, We all thought it was going to be usual, accept certain rewards but this, it was kind of, different. “You have got to be kidding me.” Isabella lamented, She then looked from the screen to me, “so do you understand any of this?” Although it was clear, she just had to ask the obvious. “Seems to me the system changed the format of daily quests” Daily quests were usually based on acceptance of either mana, EXP, gifts and the like, but the system gave us something different and perhaps, something that might be hard to accomplish. ~Ring! Alex's POV CONT’D “ I guess we aren't done just yet.” I announced and examined our surroundings. Alex then triggered the Quest window for further clarification. ~ []Daily Quest: Trials Of Magical Ruins Of Ana []Quest Objectives: Navigate and find the three ancient rune stones which will in turn unlock the final piece of the quest. []Note: Failure To Accomplish Daily Quest Will Result To A Great Penalty Of The Party. ~ Alex heaved a sigh and said, “... A final piece of the quest, I wonder what the final piece could be?” The system doesn't seem to want to give us any clues, not like it can actually give us clues anyways, but that would have been helpful since we are literally standing around doing nothing.” Just then, a sudden glow erupted from Isabella's pockets, the runestone. And why is she keeping them exactly? “Hey! Come back.” She voiced as the runes shot out of her pocket and dashed towards a straight narrow path. "Argh, it got away.” "No… it's
Alex's POV We returned from the daily quest after successfully completing it. Although, we faced a lot of casualties that were resolved the moment we stepped into the lobby. Completing the quest wasn't the hard part, the hard part was taking down the guardian and the fact we almost failed in completing the puzzle. That alone… would have been hell. It all started with Liam charging in as the guardian awakened and sought to attack us. The downside of this whole fight was the fact we didn't know what we were up against worsened it. But all in all, we were being passive after we saw what it could do. It mostly relies on spraying beans of concentrated energy at its prey, we were lucky to avoid that, even Isabella was fortunate to not get it. All I did was search for it blind spot. My shield was even destroyed in the process, its prehensile tail destroyed my shield on contact and took its chance to attack. But thanks to Liam and Isabella, I managed to escape before it
FOURTH FLOOR ~ STAGE FOUR MISSION TYPE : PREVENTION & SUBDUE. SUBDUE THE ARMY OF GOBLINS HEARING FOR NORTHEAST VILLAGE. [ Time: 2hr ] FAILURE TO PREVENT THE INVASION : DEATH. All three of them appeared on the grassy field that led to a village occupied by individual people, but old and young. “A prevention type mission…” Isabella thought. “So we are going to go against a couple of low level goblins, this should be easy as pie.” “Don’t be too calm about the situation…” Alex spectated carefully. “We can't be sure if they will be the same goblins we faced on the first floor… these ones could be just different and perhaps dangerous.” Isabella looked in despair. “Sigh, all I'm saying is, don't let your guard down… it's a prevention and subdued type mission. All we have to do is to make sure they don't get to the village.” “So are we going to just sit here and wait for them?” “No… we are moving ahead. If we wait for them to reach here then we are doing nothing bu
CHAPTER 88 [ 1hr : 30 mins ] Alex approached his teammates as they observed in a distance, waiting whatever comes their way. “It's already been 30 mins since all this happened.” Alex said upon entering their midst. "And there aren't any Goblins in sight." "Perhaps we should move forward, just like you suggested earlier, there could be more coming." Alex exchanged glances with Liam before nodding at his suggestion. There could be more in front, but unbeknownst to them, they had already cleansed the Calvary of goblins that planned on taking out the village in the first place, what simply remains for them to handle is... the Goblin King. They all took the Narrow path and headed towards the direction that was inhabited by the goblin king. It had only been around 20 mins since the gang headed far down the path searching for the remaining piece to complete the quest. Their surroundings had changed and the scenery had even hardened, there was less grass and more tombsto
~ Ring![ Clearing Rewards In Process ][ Players Can Now Return To Their Lobby ] From a distance, a portal opens and the party heads through it and arrives on the other side. “Well that wasn't bad …” Alex smirked, “Seeing you got MVP, you impressed the system.” “I honestly did think you were going to take the goblins King down as soon as you saw him…” “Right, but what's the point in soloing the goblin king when you have a party?” Alex chuckled a bit. “Well that was fun, though the Goblin King wasn't as tough as I expected,” Unlike the previous time they were summoned into the system, on the same first floor, they had faced the goblin king, although there seemed to be slight differences in the two kings. Unlike the last, this one died quicker than expected and didn't show any form of threat to the party. It was all just as easy as pie. “You really are indeed one kind of impossible guy, i’m glad I could finally meet you, except we are in a situation that requires us to comple
“ Jason Carter… ” Alex said slowly as he read the man's name on the floating tab below him. [[[ STATS WINDOW [[[ Jason Carter [[[ Role: Marksman. “The floors, tell me about the floors, I have never been a fan of video games so I barely know little.” The man requested as he took a seat on the bed. ‘He doesn't know anything about video games but he's so OP!’ Alex couldn't believe him. “There are 100 floors in this tower, each floor is a dimensional body that is overrun by beings of different agenda and we're tasked to clear them by all means in order to survive and move on to the next floor.” Alex explained. “I wasn't expecting that but I think I can work with that. Since you are the this party's captain then I will be in your care” ‘I should be telling him that, judging from those weapons in his arsenal, even his skills are enough to put you off the edge.’ Alex's lips curved into a warm smile. ‘i won't lie but I'm intimidated by this new party member, well let's see how well he can perform on the field.’ “Even though, can we perhaps like to train a bit? This time I hope no intervention happens, whenever we are about to
