The skeleton had an arch back and was short just like every other goblin Arthur saw. This caused Arthur to back off a few steps.The black vapor settled down… “More undead goblins?” There was a team of undead goblins that appeared after the black vapor disappeared. It looks like their stats might even be weaker than the average goblins..”
The goblin mage pointed at Arthur and the other undead goblins attacked Arthur.
Shoo!Arthur kicked, punched, and did everything he could but he couldn’t touch the goblins…not even once. He felt like a newbie soccer player who is trying to get the ball from experienced players. The goblins even managed to attack Arthur from behind lowering his health slowly but surely.“What?!” Arthur was turning around trying to punch a goblin that was nearest to him but they managed to dodge Arthur’s attacks.
‘I’m faster, stronger, more agile, I even have more stamina than them…’ Arthur thought. ‘But why can I not touch them even ONCE ?!’ Despite the goblins having 21 stamina points… Arthur was getting tired but the goblins weren’t.
“Seriously… What’s going on!?” Arthur couldn’t understand why he was being outclassed by weaker and slower beings. It didn’t make sense to him.
“Human! Look at their pattern! Look at how they move!” The goblin knight shouted.
Arthur stopped attacking the undead goblins while maintaining a defensive position and paid close attention to the goblins.‘The mage isn’t moving at all and is being protected by four undead goblins, two in front of the mage and the other one on its left side, and one on its right side.’‘Meanwhile, the other six goblins are surrounding me in a circle… it doesn’t seem to be a simple circle…’“Ah!” Arthur finally realized the concept behind the goblin’s movement.The goblins moved around in circles. And one goblin would be the closest to Arthur, they would be close enough for Arthur to attack but if they take one step back, Arthur would surely miss no matter how fast he was. After Arthur would fail to attack the undead goblin, another undead goblin would attack from the back of Arthur. And they would repeat the same process repeatedly.
Arthur now knowing the pattern of their movement repeated what he did previously. He attacked the goblin near him, and just like what happened previously, the goblin took a step back and dodged it easily. However, Arthur knew this and equipped the heavy sword that barely does any damage and swung it like a hammer toward the undead skeleton goblin. The sword didn’t do much damage but it was the strength that Arthur applied that destroyed the skeleton goblin easily.
As the circle formation was broken by the variable that was Arthur’s heavy sword, Arthur easily destroyed the other skeleton goblins. All that was left now is the boss. The goblin mage.
All the undead skeleton goblin was gone; the mage who was the only enemy left raised its hand and fire came out of the palm of its hands. Arthur dodged it but he was met with another similar fire attack, but unfortunately for him, couldn’t dodge this attack and got hit by the fiery attack. The fire passed through him and he only felt the heat of the attack and the fire burnt him quite a bit. But the attack wasn’t quite simple. Inside of the fire, an orb-like black vapor similar to what the goblin mage used to summon the undead skeleton goblins gave a strong hammer-like feeling towards Arthurs’s body sending Arthur flying backward two meters back.
The fire burnt him but he couldn’t feel as much pain as he expected. And there was very little damage that he took from the attack.
“Weird…” He looked at the skeleton goblin mage just standing still not moving one bit.“Status”[MP:0/30]Seeing that the goblin mage didn’t have any MP left to fight, Arthur ran towards it and attacked it with his heavy and blunt sword. He crushed the goblin mage’s body pretty easily and the bones dropped to the floor while slowly turning to dust, never to be seen again.[YOU HAVE DEFEATED THE BOSS!]
[100 EXP EARNED!][20 SKILL POINTS EARNED!][20 STAT POINTS EARNED!][SHOP FEATURE UNLOCKED!][COLLECT ITEM REWARDS HIDDEN IN THE ROOM!]“Well, that’s it I guess.” Arthur rests on the floor recovering the stamina he used up to fight the undead skeleton goblins.He headed straight to the crown to take it but was blocked by the goblin knight’s longsword.“You’re stopping me again? Am I supposed to fight you to claim this crown?” Arthur asked the goblin knight.“Regardless of whether you defeat me, you are still not worthy of carrying the crown. Go ahead, try carrying it.” The goblin knight let Arthur approach the crown.Arthur who was now allowed to touch the crown came close to it and attempted to carry the beautiful crown. As he came close to it the beautiful; gems and golds drew him closer and made his heart beat faster. But there was an alluring fact about the crown, one that couldn’t be expressed through words, it was simply PERFECT in his eyes. As he touched it he felt a strange feeling that he needed the crown.“Huh?” It was heavy. He couldn’t carry it. It looked so light but in reality, it felt like attempting to carry your own body, it was simply impossible. Arthur started becoming more and more desperate using his strength even more.“Snap out of it.” The goblin knight said.Arthur’s eyes widened as he stepped away from the crown.“What happened?” Arthur asked not knowing what happened to him.“The crown has an effect that can make people drawn to it. The crown wants a master, but you are not worthy of it.”The goblin knight explained.“I see now… I’ll take everything else then.” Arthur looked around the room to find the treasures that were promised to him.It didn’t take long for him to find a treasure chest right behind the seat of the throne.The chest was wooden and it looked like a simple wooden box. It didn’t look old and had a nice and smooth look to it.Arthur opened the wooden box and he could find some gold coins, a greatsword, and a shield.[300 GOLD COINS EARNED!][BEGINNER GREATSWORD LVL.2 GAINED!][KITE SHIELD LVL.2 GAINED!]{Good job son! But can you help me?” The goblin knight asked.‘What is it?”“Among all humans, you seem to be different from all of them, you have a strength of a titan… and I think you can help me with something..”“Get to the point.”Arthur was getting tired of listening to the goblin knight already.“I have a quest for you. The tutorial you are in is just one out of many clones. I am a will that is left by my original body to be used in this tutorial. I might be weak here but my original body is very strong. I need you to send this ring to my original body. There is information contained in this ring that I need to send him. Will you help me?” The goblin knight asked sincerely.‘The diary is not responding to this…didn’t father get this quest too?’ Arthur thought.“Is this quest an official quest? of this tutorial?” Arthur asked.“No, but I can give you items that will help you. And I can give them to you now.”“What are the items?”The goblin knight raised his hands and on them appeared a white thick clothing and a simple iron breastplate.Arthur immediately recognized the cloth.“Oh? Do you know what this is? Most humans of your kind wont even know what this is.”“It’s a gambeson.” A gambeson was a padded defensive jacket that medieval knights used. Although it was made out of wool, it could protect the user from arrow and sword attacks quite effectively.“Yes. And it will help you greatly. So will you help me?”The knight asked.Arthur thought about it and agreed since the items that were presented in front of him were too good to pass.[BEGINNER GAMBESON LVL.3 GAINED!][BEGINNER IRON BREASTPLATE LVL.2 GAINED!]“That is all you could get here.
