Slap!

Felix thought Mr. Zay would believe him, and the mission would be over quickly.

But before he knew it, he was suddenly slapped hard.

With his head, he turned to the side; Felix paused, trying to digest what had happened.

Just then, Mr. Zay's angry voice rang out. "Call security and drag this crazy man out, now!"

Felix turned and looked at Mr. Zay. "Sir, you must listen to me. If you don't believe me, do a DNA test. Your eldest son has been cheating all along."

"Go away!" shouted Mr. Zay angrily.

Immediately, several security guards arrived and dragged Felix away.

"Sir, you have to do it!" shouted Felix before leaving the meeting room.

Clarita, who had been silent, followed Felix's departure. Once he was out of sight, she looked at Mr. Zay and said, "Dad, what if we do it to confirm whether the man is lying or not? Whatever the outcome, we don't have any doubts anymore."

Bay, smiling happily at Felix's departure, was instantly annoyed when he heard Clarita's words. "Whether that man is lying or not, it has nothing to do with us. Leave him alone. All we have to do is handle our own business.

Mr. Zay paused and turned to look at the Executive Council. "The handover of shares and positions is postponed for now."

Without waiting for the others' reactions, he walked resolutely out of the meeting room.

Meanwhile, in the company courtyard, Felix was thrown senselessly to the ground.

Felix looked down with his hands clenched. He stayed in the same position for a moment to gather his courage.

After all, this was the courtyard of a large company. Many people were passing by. And he, who was dumped like this, felt a little embarrassed.

Having had enough, Felix cleared his throat briefly and stood up. He adjusted his backpack and turned to stare at the tall building in front of him.

The guard at the entrance gave Felix a flat look. Their friendly faces had disappeared since the report that he was the crazy man who had barged into the meeting room of the company's top brass.

Seeing that, Felix could only grimace and nod slightly before turning to leave.

"EasySync, did I fail?" asked Felix as he strolled down the street.

However, there was no response from the system.

Felix, who was only feeling a little sluggish at first, immediately became down. He stopped his steps when he reached the terminal and sat down with his head bowed. "I shouldn't have believed it right away. After all, this is something that is beyond reason. It's not easy to get something extraordinary with missions like this."

A tired sigh continued to escape Felix's mouth.

He was no longer in high spirits. It was even worse than before.

Just then, there was a sudden clanking sound. [Sir, sorry for my tardiness.]

But Felix did not care at all. His head was still bowed languidly.

[It's not over yet. You will know the result once you receive a notification. Right now, there hasn't been any notification, which means the mission is still in progress. To wait, you can go to the house that I have prepared. Please, Sir!"]

Only then did Felix look up, staring at the transparent screen that displayed him the address of the house mentioned.

There was no significant change in his expression. Instead, he sighed softly and stood up. "Alright, let's take a look. Whether that house exists or not."

Before leaving, Felix picked up his bag and looked at the contents of his wallet. He was silent for a long time, looking at the remaining bills.

After sighing again, he took out all the money and stopped a passing taxi.

**

Felix looked at the mansion in front of him with a dazed expression.

The address is correct. But was it his?

Just then, a security guard from the house next door suddenly arrived. He pulled Felix's hand roughly. "Hey, this neighborhood doesn't accept beggars. How can you be here looking at people's houses? Hurry up and leave before I call the police!"

Felix still couldn't control himself. So, he didn't fully listen to the security guard's words and chose to go back to looking at his mansion.

Seeing that, the security guard got angry and shouted while pushing Felix's body. "What are you looking at? Hurry up and leave! Let's go! The owner of this house could get jinxed if you keep standing here! Go, get out of here, quick!"

The commotion didn't attract people because the neighborhood where Felix was going to live was an elite neighborhood where all the residents were high-class. They had many activities and jobs, so they were rarely at home.

Felix came to his senses after his body hit the road. Ignoring his pain, he stood up and looked at the security guard in front of him with annoyance. "Can't you be polite?"

"Why be polite to a beggar like you?" The security guard smiled dismissively and looked Felix up and down scornfully.

Felix's face fell flat upon hearing the word beggar for the umpteenth time. He closed his eyes briefly and walked towards the wall beside the gate.

Seeing him approaching the gate, the security guard did not remain silent. He immediately chased Felix and blocked his way. "Don't you know human language? Someone like you should not approach this beautiful house. Hurry up and leave!"

"But unfortunately, this is my house," Felix said quietly.

The security guard was stunned into silence. But then he burst out laughing. "Your house? You seem to have lost your mind. Hey, look at yourself! Don't you look in the mirror? With your looks like this, how can you confidently claim this mansion?"
