Chapter 1: The Warriors

At 5:30 pm, when it was gradually turning to dusk, at this time, most of the customers had returned and Moonlight cafe was closed. Victor was sitting behind Michael and falling asleep on the table in fatigue while cleaning the tables and chairs in the cafe. He dreamed that strange dream: He found himself in a deep cave in a strange forest and witnessed two supernatural forces - one in the form of a girl who wore a white dress. Opposite her was a black shadow with a pair of crimson eyes and terrifyingly sharp teeth- confronting each other.

Two forces shot two white and black power spheres at each other. In Victor's eyes, it was just like in a scene from a swordplay movie. A white aura surrounded the girl, and the black shadow was getting stronger. This created a huge vibration that shook the whole cave, and everything around it cracked. The space was covered with two colors, black and white.

When the force of white overwhelmed the force of black, Victor realized that the girl is at a greater advantage than that evil god-like entity. He saw this god-like entity that had the same points as the god trapped in a magic lamp that Aladdin found in the movie of the same name. Suddenly, a blue-skinned man came to her and shouted:

"Goddess Mello, don't stop. The real nightmare is about to come to an end. Just try a little bit more…"

"How can that entity speak English? Nightmare...? Did he mean that scary shadow? Is that girl called 'Goddess' by him?"- Victor thought.

However, before he could understand what is going on, he saw something gradually emerging amid the tremor. It was so blurred, emerged and disappeared in a flash wherever there was a tremor. The black shadow began to laugh loudly:

"Thanks, Mello, thanks to your cooperation, I'm about to reach my goal."

"What? Impossible! So does that exist? And I... I'll give you a hand to make it reveal itself?"- The girl named Mello exclaimed in fear- "No, I can never let Ollem win."

"It is too late. Let's witness this horrible nightmare."

"Never. I swear, I won't let you achieve your goal."

Suddenly, Mello turned her eyes to Victor. Victor realized that she was also aware of his presence. She said:

"There is only one way. Time to use 'the ace'."

"Hey, did you see me? What are you going to do?" Victor was surprised and tried to hold out his hand to prevent her.

"It's all for the future of humanity. Before I say goodbye, I want to say that I don't regret choosing you."

Then Mello's mouth recited a spell: "Mavuva-salahakatos- Creating the barrier". Suddenly, her body radiated a huge light, causing Victor to be dazzled, covering his eyes with his hand.

Victor woke up, then stood up, shouting: "Don't!". When shouting, Victor stretched out his hand, and opened his palm toward Michael, who was unconsciously sweeping the floor. Michael was startled for a moment, jumped up, his face panicked. Victor sweated, put his hand over his mouth, and panted. Suddenly, a hand grabbed Victor's left shoulder from behind, he was startled, turned his head, and brushed that hand away with a panicked expression, he realized that it was Mr. Karatini, the owner of Moonlight cafe, who hired Victor and Michael as part-time job servants. He asked:

"Did you fall asleep while cleaning?"

"Ah, yes. I was a bit tired so I fell asleep for a while."

Michael saw Victor's unusual face and asked:

"Did you just have a nightmare? When you woke up, you looked panicked."

Realizing that Michael was aware of part of the reason for his behavior, Victor now wiped his sweat and replied:

"Well, I had a strange dream. Fictional, extremely fantastic, I don't know how to explain it anymore because I don't remember exactly."

Victor looked down at his hand, trying to remember. Michael approached and said:

"Hey, what did you dream about? Are those your old memories?"

"No, definitely not. I had a dream... how can I say... a girl with supernatural powers fought with a supernatural dark force that looked very scary"- Victor still passionately narrated- "Both sides took two opposites, one side radiated a white aura, the other was covered with black smoke. They released two power balls to each other, one brought the power of light, and one brought the power of darkness, like the 'Kamehameha' in 'Dragon Ball' manga."

While telling a story, Victor turned and pointed behind him:

"By the way, someone explained to me about the ghost that is haunting me. Ever since I received the Elemental Card, I've always seen it loitering around and saying confusing things."

Now all attention was on the ghost behind him. Michael explained:

"Ah, I forgot to say. The yellow ghost you spoke of was the original owner of the Elemental Card, collectively known as one of 'the Elemental Gods'. If you touch the card that belongs to a random god, you can see him through your naked eyes."

"What? The elemental... gods? Now that I've noticed, this one looks like an entity I saw in a dream, the only difference between them is their color."

That ghost in the background began to speak:

"Hey you mortal, you may not know it, but we are the gods who protected humans 1000 years ago. The one you saw in your dream was my comrade, Helius. His life exists on this card. You also have one, but it used to be mine."

"You mean...this one?" - Victor took out his card from his pocket.

"Yes. So you can see me."

"But can you tell me why I had such a strange dream? And the reason humans were chosen to be warriors."

"I don't know the reason why you had that weird dream. As for the reason why we chose humans, you will find out later."

Suddenly Victor's card lighted up. He exclaimed:

"There are monsters! Not too far from here."

Michael and he looked at each other as if understanding what to do next, and ran out of the shop...

While running, Michael talked to Victor:

"How far do you think that monster is from us, Victor?"

"In my opinion, based on the signal from the Elemental Card, he is only around Stormfront Street."

"So there's another 400 meters to go."

"Hmm, admittedly I don't like using this, but it's quite useful. Also, I feel like I have telepathic abilities."

"Let's talk about it later. We have to get there quickly."

"Ok"

Approaching the place where the monster appeared, Victor and Michael saw a few people running against them, their faces panicked and scared. Both of them sped up. When they saw the monster, the two hid behind a wall a few meters away. Michael said:

"That monster is shaped like a tree."

Thedus later said:

"He is known as "The Tree Monster". His special ability is to use his tentacles to attack, grip everything and shoot fruit-shaped bullets at fast speed and high damage... You must be careful."

"Well, you seem to know a lot. Is there anything else?"

"That's all I know. To know more you should fight him."

"Hey Michael, you evacuate the people. Just leave him to me."

"Okay, I'll bother you to hold him for a while, I'll come to the battlefield after a while."

"Do not worry. I can take care of him."

"Okay then, transformation."

As soon as Michael finished speaking, he quickly evacuated the people. The monster saw that it was going to attack, but Victor jumped to stop it in a completely different way.

"Who the hell are you, you monster?"

"Call me 'The Tree Monster'"

"Oh right, I'll defeat you."

"The Tree Monster" said in a proud voice:

"Who are you?"

Victor has now transformed into "Yellow Lightning" - the complete warrior form transformed through the Elemental Card. He said:

"' Yellow Lightning', the opponent that you don't want to face."

"Don't underestimate me, boy. What can you do to stop me?"

Victor said:

"You will know after being defeated by me. So obediently give in."

"Haha. Do you think you can beat me easily? Do it if you can. I will crush you to death. "

"Come on. I already knew your abilities, so I don't scare you."

The two began a thunderous fight. "The Tree Monster" shot bullets at a fast speed, and Victor used the "Lightning Sword" to slash without missing a single shot. So the monster increased the number and speed of bullets, making Victor unable to keep up and jump to avoid bullets. Taking advantage of Victor's loophole, he launched tentacles from his mouth to grab and tie him up. Victor was tied up, unable to move, and cried out:

"Fuck off… I was so careless."

"The Tree Monster" laughed loudly:

"Ha ha ha, can't move right? It's just one of my special abilities. Now go to hell."

Then he fired bullets from his sleeve. The flying bullets made his armor suffer huge damage, and sent him flying backwards. He rolled several times and writhed from the enemy's attack damage. But the monster still didn't want to let him go, he pulled his opponent up with his tentacles. But suddenly Victor did not show anger, he even laughed loudly. The 'Tree Monster' asked:

"What's so funny? Don't tell me that you went crazy because of your hopelessness."

Victor stood firm even though the monster tried to pull him with its tentacles. He boldly said:

"In my whole life, I have never lost to anyone. Do you think these tentacles can tie me down? See what I will do now."

Then he shouted: "The first strike- Shockwave transmission". His body radiated lightning, he was trying to loosen the tentacles slowly.

"Are you trying to loosen the tentacles? After loosening them up a little, what can you do next?"

"That's enough for me."

When the tentacle was stretched just the right amount, he inserted his hands in between and sent an electric spark through the tentacle. The electric beam ran straight through the monster's tentacles, causing him to be electrocuted, fell, and spun backward, the tentacles from his mouth were also recovered.

Victor stretched, turned his body a few times, and said:

"I told you, but you didn't listen. That's not my full strength. I just used the simplest method. I've warmed up enough, now I'll finish you off. Listen, if I'm serious, you'll be dead in five minutes... no, two minutes."

"What…?"

"Because of your arrogance and insolence, I will finish you off right here."
