Chapter 5: Amber

As the atmosphere began to grow heavy, the mother decided to break the silence and said:

"I've heard him talk about you."

"What?"

"He said you are a cold person on the outside, but inside you are extremely psychologically and warm. The way you quietly help your colleagues get up speaks for itself. Everyone at the office loves you."

"I..." - Victor said with tears in his eyes.

"I don't know what happened between the two of you, but he always respects and admires him when he talks about you. To him, I am a good person. And when you come here, I feel the same way."

"Thank you!" - Victor was moved to tears.

While eavesdropping inside, Amber also gradually understood.

Moments later, Amber and Victor had a private conversation outside the door. Amber says:

"Perhaps he was right about you."

"Huh?"

"If everyone loves you, it proves you're not a bad person. It's just that I was too selfish. I blamed you because I had no one to blame. I just wanted to fill the void and fear in my heart by deceiving myself."

"Fear of what? Please tell me."

After listening to Amber's story, Victor realized a few things, although there were still some mysteries that could not be explained. He comforted Amber:

"No, everything is unclear. I'll go see him in person to find out. I promise to be there for you when you need protection, as a brother. Plus, remember Andre's advice, it's necessary."

Amber looked at Victor with peace of mind and said:

"Thank you, I feel more secure now. I forgive you. I hope that when you regain your memories, you won't forget me."

Victor smiled with a radiant face and replied:

"Um um… Hearing that makes my heart feel lighter. I'm sure I won't forget you. I promise."

The part when Victor saw the tattoo on Amber's left arm. Anh asked:

"You like tattoos? It looks good."

"Ah... yes. This..."

"Ah, I remember that your brother has a tattoo like this. No wonder he looks familiar."

Amber stood looking at Victor with a blank expression, her body trembling.

"My brother... has this tattoo too?"

"Yeah, don't you know? Is that a sign of the special bond between the two brothers?"

"I... don't know either."

"Are you ok? What did I say wrong?"- Victor asked when he saw Amber's surprised expression.

Amber suddenly burst into tears, turned her face away, and covered her mouth with her hand to not make a sound.

"Are you okay? Does the tattoo have any special meaning? Do you feel moved to remember your brother when you see it? Indeed, this tattoo is the brothers' way of sending love, making the brotherhood more determined to close."

"Do you think so?"

"That's right. If that's true, then I'm jealous. Andre must love you so much that he got a tattoo like you."

"I get it. Honestly, this tattoo means a lot to me, but it gives me an invisible insecurity every time I look at it, and yet Andre does it for me. You treat me so well, but he passed away and I haven't done anything to show my love to him yet..."

"Are you still crying?"

"Ah, it's because I'm so emotional. Each time I saw it, I felt so sad about his death." - Amber sobbed and used her wristband to cover the tattoo up."

"Don't worry, I believe in heaven, Andre is always at your side to pray and protect you. The tattoos on yours and his arms are proof of the extremely strong and unseparated brotherhood. So don't try to hide it like this, instead always see it each time you that remember him to become stronger."

"Understood. Thank you. I'm glad to hear your words of encouragement. They help me a lot."

When leaving Amber's house to go to the city, Victor drove in a pensive mood. He asked Thedus:

"Tell me. What was the curse the Goddess cast on them? Why did she do it?"

Thedus remained silent and did not answer. Victor said:

"Hey, Thedus, Thedus! Did you hear what I said?"

Only then did Thedus speak:

"The truth is, I don't even know."

"Then there's no point in asking you."

"There is only one thing I can tell you: 'Any curse will be nullified if its creator dies or is unsealed.'"

Victor screamed:

"Dammit! Why are you talking about that now?"

"You've never mentioned this before, so I haven't had a chance to say it."

15 minutes after Victor left, Amber just walked out the door to go to the market. Suddenly, a monster appeared in front of her. She was scared and was about to run into the house but he carried her away at supersonic speed.

That evening at Moonlight cafe, when laid back on the bed after dinner, Victor pondered thoughtfully, eyes wide open.

Suddenly Thedus appeared, saw Victor remaining silent, and asked:

"Hey, it's late, why don't you sleep. What are you thinking?"

"Ah, no...nothing."

Suddenly, Victor's phone rang. When he saw that the caller was Amber's mother, he immediately picked up the phone to listen.

"What?" Victor yelled.

"Oh! My gosh. What happened?" - Thedus said.

"Is Amber missing?" - Victor panicked.

The atmosphere was starting to get darker...

Meanwhile, Amber woke up in a strange place, without a gleam of light. Amber looked around and thought:

"Where am I? Why is it so dark?"

Suddenly, a gleam of light appeared. It was the light from an explorer's lamp. Suddenly she heard footsteps and exclaimed:

"Who's that?"

From behind the light of the lamp appeared someone holding a lamp approaching. He held up the lamp so that Amber could see his face. His face made Amber extremely scared, and exclaimed:

"Monster!"

"Sigh… Be quiet. I didn't do anything to you. First of all, let me introduce myself, my name is Handaz. We are in an abandoned house. If you obediently cooperate, I will release you. Well, I guess the next thing you said would be: 'Why did you arrest me? I don't know you at all.'"

Amber was still not fully recovered, tried to back away, and asked:

"Why did you arrest me, I don't know you at all… Oh! Did I… just say what he said?"

Handaz smiled:

"Ha ha, you don't know me but I do know you. Descendant of Thomas Pinwheel, one of the Goddess worshipers. Let's get to work. I want you to verify one thing."

"What... what?" Amber stammered.

He took out the photo and placed both it and the lamp near Amber's face:

"Point out the guy who was transformed into the yellow warrior this morning. I think he's from that archeological Institute."

"Oh, the photo of the archeological team, including Andre and Victor. Why did he have it..." - Amber was startled.

"Listen, if you say it, I will spare your life."

"Really?" Amber asked with a troubled expression.

"Really."

Amber's head was very confused, she didn't believe him, but she also knew that, at least by saying it, her chances of survival were a bit higher. Although she knew that she would apologize to Victor for breaking her promise, she still decided to say:

"Here, this person."

Suddenly Handaz laughed. Amber was scared and asked:

"What are you laughing at?"

"Are you kidding me? This guy died in the cave collapse over a week ago."

"What? How did you know that?"

"If I tell you, will you tell me the truth?"

"I… I promise."

Handaz leaned close to Amber's ear and said:

"The reason I know that is that I was the one who caused the cave collapse that killed his archeological team. Not a single person survived that incident."

At this point, Amber was completely shocked. She knelt and lowered her head, her tears were falling from the corners of her eyes non-stop, and her body was shaking. A truth beyond her imagination, she thought:

"The one… the one who caused my brother's death… is in front of me."

Knowing the truth, Amber was very sad, not saying anything, just crying. After finishing talking to the subordinate, Handaz turned back to her and asked:

"Hey, tell me something. After hearing the truth, you just keep silent and cry. Didn't I scare you that much?"

Amber looked at him with hateful eyes. She thought:

"Bastard, I will let Victor kill you and avenge my brother."

Amber pretended to be obedient and said:

"The person you are looking for is not in this photo. Since I want to live, and you want to know his face, would you rather let me call him anywhere quickly?"

"Oh, such a good way, I didn't think of it yet. You are smart. So take the phone and call him. The address is B51 building on Ramford Street."

Amber quickly took out her phone and dialed Victor's number.

When Victor was on the way to look for Amber with Michael, he received a call from Amber. He immediately parked the car on the roadside. He turned on the phone and said:

"Hello, Amber, right? Where are you? Are you okay?"

Michael was quite eagerly waiting for news from Victor. He was silent for a moment, then said:

"OK, OK. I'll be there to pick you up. Stay there waiting for me."

When Victor just hung up, Michael asked:

"What's up? It's Amber's call, right? Where is she now?"

"Building B51, Ramford Road. She is there now. "

"Why is she there at night? It's strange. Wait... this could be Handaz's trap, maybe he took her hostage and made her call me to get us exposed."

"You are right. I thought so. But we can't leave her there without saving her. Compared to our identity, her life is more important. We should just go there."

"Okay, let's go there. There is no other choice."

At the same time, in building B51, Handaz muttered:

"So we just have to wait for them to 'fall into the trap'"

When Victor and Michael arrived, they both transformed into warriors and then got out of the car, not knowing that Handaz's monster was already ambushed. Victor felt a bad omen, and said to Michael:

"I had a bad omen. I don't know if this decision is right..."

"Don't worry. Everything will be okay. Do you trust me?"

"I do. Are you ready?"

"Ready. Let's just come in."

Once inside, the two saw nothing but darkness. Walking slowly inside, Michael noticed a light coming from his right, pointed towards it, and said:

"Over there!"

As they both turned their eyes there, the Handaz suddenly appeared, saying:

"Welcome to our two guests. You've made me wait a little while."

"You... where did you leave Amber?"

"Oh, so hot-tempered, Yellow Lightning. If you want to know, I will answer, but first, let's warm up the atmosphere."

"What do you mean...?"

"Pass the challenge I have given you if you want to see her face. The challenge is simple: 'Defeat my subordinate'."

Suddenly, from the night, the monster ran at lightning speed and attacked the two, he attacked them in a rush, otherwise, they couldn't hit him no matter how they tried. Victor, despite being heavily beaten, was still calm. Handaz said:

"This is my second experiment. His name is 'Speed Chaser'…"

"I know"- Victor said confidently.

"What?"

"As I know, he has super fast movement and the ability to navigate in the dark, so he can easily attack us. I couldn't hit him at all."

"Exactly. So what will you do then? I think before you can think of a way to defeat it, you'll be knocked down by it. Because you can't keep up with his speed."

"Oh no, I've already figured it out."

Victor raised his "Lightning Sword". Handaz laughed and said:

"Don't tell me you're going to summon lightning here. I planned that you would do it to slow down that monster, so I lured you into the building, the purpose being to stay away from the sky."

Victor then laughed loudly and said:

"Then keep your eyes on it."

Then he shouted: "Lightning" and then thrust his weapon straight into the ground. The beam from "Lightning Sword" began to descend and spread across the floor at a wide range. Handaz exclaimed:

"What? Where does the electricity come from…?"

"Speed Chaser" is electrocuted, so his speed slows down. Victor could see his movements.

His body was electrocuted. The monster's armor began to burn, and he fell backwards, writhing in pain. At that moment, Victor used the weapon that lights up the position of the "Speed Chaser". Michael used the "Final Wave" attack to finish him off. Despite achieving his goal, Handaz was still a little annoyed because he didn't expect his experiment to be defeated so quickly.

"You're probably wondering: 'How can he summon lightning even if he's not outdoors'?"

"That's right," said Handaz, holding the card in his hand to suck the aura from the Speed Chaser's corpse.

"Thanks to this."- Victor pointed to the thing hanging on his belt- "A battery charger. An invention ahead of its time by a great scientist. I used it to charge my weapons instead of lighting."

"How did you know to prepare that?"

"I heard from a witness known as Amber's neighbor that he saw the 'Speed Chaser' waiting at Amber's house and then kidnapped her by supersonic speed. I think it's your monster. The reason I prepared this is that I thought of the case where I would have to fight him in an enclosed space."

Handaz now burst into laughter and said:

"This is beyond my expectations. As promised..."

Then Handaz pulled Amber closer to him, saying:

"Here she is. Now, if you want to save me, you have to do one more thing for me."

"What? It's shameless. Let her go, this is a fight between us. Don't drag her in," Victor said.

"Save me!" Amber yelled.

"Amber… Handaz, what do you want?"

"I want you two to take off your helmets, then I will fight you. I won't go to war if I don't know my opponents' faces. I have been faithful to that ever since."

"As expected… Okay, we'll take it off. Promise that when we unhelmet, you'll let her go."

"I promise, haha."

Michael looked at Victor and said:

"Are you sure?"

"For Amber's safety, we have no choice."

"Hmm... Because you said that, let's do it. I don't care about the consequences anymore."

Michael agreed to take off his helmet.
