Chapter 9: "Dog day afternoon“

Adam still held the gun firmly in his hand towards Michael, who was in Blue Gunner form, said:

 

"Don't underestimate the power of humans. Ordinary humans like us can defeat gods without their strength."

"You seem to know me. Have we met before?" Adam asked.

Michael thought in his mind:

When the gun was snatched from his hand, Michael was startled and tried to jump in to grab it but it was too late. Adam raised his cop gun to shoot at Meleon but he was unharmed, even Meleon caught Adam as a hostage. He pointed the Arowana Blaster near his head, making him afraid to move. Michael exclaimed:

 

"Let him go!"

 

"Then give it to me, I mean that knife. Then I'll let him go."

 

Adam's heart at this moment, was like a collapse, saying:

 

"I thought you wouldn't do this insolent thing."

 

"You are so naive. I am that kind of person. Are you saying I can't defend myself? Sorry, but you are wrong. You should have listened to him."

 

"So annoying. Now it turned out like this. Did you understand? Without power, you can't do anything."

 

"Don't give it to him. Let him kill me."

The strong impact from the front and back caused Meleon to hurt his chest and abdomen, and because Michael acted so quickly, neither Meleon nor Adam had seen him in human form. Michael then transformed into "Blue Gunner" and approached him and said:

 

"Have you heard the phrase 'Diamond cuts diamond'? That sentence is quite suitable for you and me. My Elemental Card also has this ability."

 

At this moment, Meleon realized that the water from Michael's shot had washed away the sand from his body, he went invisible, then swung his tongue and snatched the knife in Michael's hand when he was distracted and limped away. When Michael was about to chase, he saw that the undead had flooded here quite a lot. He heard Meleon say:

 

"You guys, kill them for me!"

Michael ignored his words and rushed out to fight with the undead. Adam ran in to get something in the room and then wriggled along the way Michael created to escape the chaos caused by the undead. On the 4th floor, Victor and Iron Head are trying to fight the undead rushing in. Although The Iron Head was busy fighting, he still realized his "prey", Jimmy was being cornered by a few undead.

 

"Let the undead kill him instead of me. That's not a bad idea"- He thought.

 

Victor promptly found out Jimmy's situation, immediately rushed to the rescue with a jump, and kicked a few undead, causing all of them to fall and roll, freeing him. After releasing the siege for Jimmy, Victor dragged him away from the dangerous area. Iron Head only noticed them now, but because he was blocked by monsters, he couldn't chase them. When he reached the safe area, Victor told Jimmy:

 

"Now you stay here and wait for the policemen to arrive."

Jimmy could only remain silent, lowering his head with tears in his eyes.

The two shook hands and ran as fast as they could. When he arrived, Victor used the "Lightning Sword" to suck electricity from electric lights and other electromagnetic items to create a huge lightning bolt that shot straight at the undead, causing them to stop and convulse on the spot. Adam took the opportunity to run to the people, saying:

 

"I am an employee here. Everyone please calmly follow me to the shelter on the 5th floor."

 

Everyone, without thinking, voluntarily followed Adam. Victor saw that he could not hold the undead anymore, and cried:

 

"Hurry up, I can't hold them back anymore"

 

When he thought he had taken everyone out of the danger zone, Adam suddenly realized that another person was trapped. It was a little girl of seven or eight years old who tripped and was left behind. Her mother cried out in agony, about to turn back but was stopped by everyone. Adam rushed to her, he was about to carry her to run, but at that moment, an undead who had stopped being electrified, rushed in to attack. Instinctively, Adam used his hand to block its bite. He suppressed the pain and kicked that undead's stomach so hard that he get his teeth out of his hand. After escaping that undead, Adam brought that girl went to her mother and the others, then exclaiming:

 

"Victor, do it!"

 

Receiving the command, Victor used the "Lightning Slash" attack to finish off that undead. Victor looked at Adam's bleeding wound and exclaimed:

 

"Oh my god, the wound is so deep, I'm afraid that you might get poison because of that bite. Let me check it out."

 

Everyone now looked at Adam with concerned expressions. Huang waved his hand and said:

 

"Oh, I'm fine, it's just a normal wound. Just bandage it."

 

The little girl who had just been saved by Adam expressed concern for him, saying:

 

"Are you in a lot of pain? I was bitten because of saving you…"

 

Adam patted the girl's head and said:

 

"Do not worry. I'm fine, now stay close to your mother, don't leave half a step. What's your name, by the way?"

 

"My name is Sunny."

 

"A very nice name."

 

The mother was very emotional, holding the baby in her arms while crying and bowing her head to thank Adam. Victor expressed regret, saying:

"It's not your fault. Now we have to lead everyone there, there's no more time." - Adam said while taking a cloth from his pocket to fasten the wound.
