Chapter 2: What Do You Want As Your Compensation?

As a narcissist, Ainsley knew very well what beauty and handsomeness were!

‘Hmm, from my estimations, their appearance and charm should not be less than mine. Finally, a worthy opponent!’

Ainsley commented as he saw the appearance of the Elf King and Elf Princesses.

On the bigger throne that was situated at the central front of the throne room was where the Elf King sat, gazing at Ainsley.

Ainsley noticed their gazes on him but like them who were observing Ainsley’s every movement, the same went for Ainsley. Or more like, Ainsley focused more on observing their appearance!

The Elf King was a handsome middle-aged man who looked to be in his early thirties. There were no wrinkles present in his face and he looked to be in his prime.

With long golden blonde hair that was adorned with a golden crown, the golden crown on his head was inlaid with countless multi-colored jewels which looked priceless. The Elf King has a mature and flawless face that exuded nobility and an indifferent demeanor. His jade green eyes which reflected the beauty of nature were observing Ainsley’s every movement.

On the other hand, there was a smaller throne beside the Elf King. The Elf Princess sat on that throne.

With long waist-length silky and luscious silver hair that was tied into a twin-tails hairstyle, it was adorned with a golden tiara, making her look noble and beautiful. 

The Elf Princess’ pair of golden eyes were filled with curiosity as she gazed at Ainsley’s handsome appearance. The Elf Princess’ appearance was beautiful and flawless, like a goddess who descended from the mortal world.

Her slim and petite figure sat on the throne nobly. Adorned in a beautiful white and green princess dress, her bust was a humble B-cup. She looked like a perfect porcelain doll, flawless and smooth.

The sunlight that entered the throne room had highlighted her milky white jade-like skin, adding more charm to her that intoxicated Ainsley.

‘I have to admit. Compared to those idols and models on Earth, they are nothing but toads in front of a beautiful swan like the Elf Princess!’

For a narcissist such as Ainsley, this was the highest recognition he could give to someone whose charm and appearance were equal to him.

Before Ainsley could continue marveling at the appearance of the two elven royalties especially the beauty of the Elf Princess, the Elf King informed him.

“I summoned you into the world of Eternia because I need a successor, an inheritor of my legacy. Since you have been successfully summoned, then you have fulfilled the requirements of becoming my successor.”

The Elf King spoke softly but his voice was clear. His lofty demeanor was refined and regal. There was a charm to his magnetic voice that was filled with charisma.

 Of course, Ainsley was unaffected by it since Ainsley was confident that his voice and tone were as good as the Elf King’s. The only difference was that he didn’t have the noble and lofty demeanor of the Elf King.

But that wasn’t what Ainsley focused his attention on.

After he had comprehended the words of the Elf King and made sure that he heard them clearly, Ainsley replied with a hint of curiosity in his tone. “So, you have summoned me into this world, the world of Eternia? In other words, I have been summoned into another world?”

In response to Ainsley’s words, the Elf King nodded. “Yes, you have been summoned into another world.”

Since the Elf King managed to answer his doubts, Ainsley posed another question that bothered him after he was summoned into this world. “So, can I go back to my world? Since you can summon me into this world, then you should be able to return me to Earth.”

In response to Ainsley’s question, the Elf King shook his head. “Unfortunately, I can’t.”

“I can only summon you into this world since I had used ancient magic which was used to summon heroes from another world. But it has a huge downside which is the lack of magic spell to return the summoned heroes to their home world.”

“But if you were summoned by the human race instead of the elven race, they would have given you false hope and tricked you into believing that there is a way to go back to your home world. When in reality, it is impossible.”

“Those summoned heroes have quite the pitiful ending as they were used as nothing but tools to eliminate the respective kings of other races. The human race is lucky that their Pope was the apostle of the God of Light so they could easily summon multiple heroes.”

“Other races couldn’t even use the hero summoning magic while the elven race, which is the race that is the best in magic, could only copy it. But even the copied version of the hero summoning magic is limited to only one summoned hero.”

The Elf King started to explain the ancient magic that he had used to summon Ainsley Wagner into Eternia.

The Elf King’s voice was apologetic, but it also hinted confidence as if he had expected Ainsley’s question and prepared this answer beforehand.

“Remember that I had mentioned the requirement I had set when I summoned you? The requirements of becoming my successor included the fact that my successor doesn’t have any attachments and fetters to his home world.”

“Let me guess, you asked this question out of curiosity. But you don’t have the intention to return to your world, right?”

Hearing the Elf King’s question, Ainsley responded. “Yes. After all, in my world, it is quite monotonous and boring. It is devoid of magic and fantasy. As for my family, they will be able to understand my situation.”

“I presume you have already prepared for my compensation for summoning me into this world without my permission, right? Otherwise, you wouldn’t be this confident in dealing with me.”

When Ainsley inquired about his compensation, the Elf King replied amusedly. “Yes, I have.”

“So what do you want as your compensation? As long as it is within my capabilities and doesn’t put me and the entire elven race at a disadvantage, I will do my best to fulfill your requests.”
