Chapter 22 – The Guardian Is A
After walking for what looked like hours, Ghou finally broke the silence, “Funji, you never told me what the guardian looks like.”
Funji gave a halt after hearing the question which had pushed a smile into his face, “Hum, the guardian is a…”
He immediately began to ponder on the right words to describe the guardian, especially since he had met him just one time.
“I’ll say.. He’s a Naga, the guardian Naga.”
Ghou’s mouth dropped to the ground immediately after hearing the description of the guardian that was vividly a Naga
“Oh.. How far before we reach the Ender, I’m already getting exhausted.”
“Very soon.” Funji turned around and continued on the journey, now ignoring both Kiara and Ghou who lazily followed behind.
However after some more minutes of walking without a temporary halt, Kiara finally indulged into a conversation with Ghou,
“So, I actually came here not long after you were knocked into this state by one of the protesters. I think we were their only target, but Elbert is currently working on a ritual or spell to well…”
Ghou however remained silent, temporary ignoring the words from Kiara whose cheeks instantly flushed with embarrassment, “Oh, our body didn’t disappear.”
“Of course not. But when I saw you, you looked like a stiffed doll.”
After some seconds, Kiara turned her gaze to Ghou and added, “I think those protesters were under the influence of what happened to the girl that was found, Mia.”
“I also noticed their purple iris and the last I encountered one personally, he mentioned a word repeated.” Ghou suddenly began to have interest in the conversation especially since it was something significant and not some silly conversation.
“Hum, the only repeated word I heard from one of the protesters was ‘vessel’ the others words were a load of insults.”
Funji instantly turned to look at Kiara and Ghou who got engulfed in the conversation that made Funji a little bit disgusted especially after hearing the ‘Vessel’ word.
“Hello. We are in the Ender room and the guardian hate unnecessary noise.”
The two pairs had immediately stop the conversation after noticing that their voice was the only thing that interrupted the silence of the scene that still looked blank as white paper.
“Ender guardian!”
Shortly after those words, the whitened nature of the room immediately transformed into a scene of Lava and magma, stunning Ghou and Kiara who unknowingly kept their mouth wide opened.
“I see newcomers.” A large snake-like monster, with terrific thick purple scales and an elongated neck gradually revealed itself from the darkness of the scene alongside a dozens of different creatures that followed swiftly.
“Are you here to know your fate.”
Funji silently nodded to the creature whose gaze instantly fell to Ghou and the empress who were vividly numb with fright. The creature, also referred to as the Naga turned his gaze to Funji after some few seconds and said, “I would have love to be respected and given a proper greeting with your arrival, but I see you have more issues at hand.”
The Naga continued shortly, “You called them here, and I don’t have any concern with their well being. But tell them the information you kept before the next Emperum, else they’ll be fated for death.”
The background turned into its whitish nature immediately after the Naga said its last words which left the newcomers speechless.
“You called us here?” Ghou was the first to muster a word after a long minute of silence. However Funji remained in front of them without a word, and immediately drew a dagger out of his pocket before showing it to the two.
“Fun.. Oh, you’ve been behind all of this. You’ve been the enemy all along.” Ghou didn’t need a word to understand their current situation which didn’t come as a surprise as he always knew Funji to be a bitter heart.
“What do you mean Ghou.. What’s all this.”
“Shut up both of you.”
Funji’s voice sounded calm, but one wouldn’t fail to recognize that pitch of disgust, anger and uncleanness in his voice, “Now I realize I don’t really have to say anything to you fools, you’ll just need to wait until the Emperum before joining your ancestors in the underworld.”
“Don’t be so dramatic Funji Dou—”
Ghou could not help but shout at Funji who turned around with a bitter smile on his face. But at the same time Ghou’s heart was troubled when his head recalled the ‘Emperum’ word.
‘Could it be the passageway to hell, or a call to torment’
Meanwhile Kiara felt like she was going to pass out even though she was in some sought of trance. She instantly fell to the white ground, staring silently at the void before her.
A smile escaped Funji’s lips, seeing the condition of Kiara and Ghou who seemed to have been lost in thought, “However if you’re wondering about the Emperum, it’s only a calling which seals a man’s soul in this void to face 5 century of endless torture and finally be thrown into the abyss of plagues.”
“And guess what?” Funji asked with a slight frown since it felt as Ghou and Kiara weren’t paying him any attention. But he managed to overcome his temptation to start a combat and continued, “The Emperum is already on its landing, and you won’t escape it. But I have.”
A loud laugh escaped Funji’s lips before disappearing into thin air, leaving Ghou and Kiara to stare at the void with a look of defeat and frustration.
‘
Not long after Funji’s disappearance, Ghou and Kiara were immediately transported into a darker spot that was crowded with over a thousand of individuals who either stared in isolation or cried in agony to the unknown.
A loud screech pinched into the ears of everyone in the void followed by a thousand armies of flying creature that immediately began to pick the people from the ground and flying them into an unknown background.
“This is definitely the Emperum.” Ghou was pushed aback to the ground, in sight of the creatures that violently grabbed on the people before taking them to a single direction.

Chapter 23 – Emperum It was only a matter of time and half the individual were cleared, leaving only a few others who were either running for their lives or sitting on the ground in acceptance to their fate.“Why aren’t they using their ability to fend off these things.” Kiara screamed at the people running beside her. But unfortunately one of the flying beast noticed her presence and began approaching with a mind blowing speed. Meanwhile Ghou who was aware of this fact flung his arms towards the creature in an attempt to activate the fire veins, but the action proved useless as it couldn’t even sprout from the ground. Seeing the tough situation, he had no choice but to push Kiara far away from her position which ended with the creature’s sharp claws digging into the gray ground, scaring all the people who now ran with maximum fright.Seeing the strange display, Ghou’s eyes turned narrow as the creature ignored its action and flew into the sky, continuously grapplin
Chapter 24 – Escape Room Is Not An Option Ghou and Kiara walked exhausted into a tiny room which was accompanied by a notification from the system‘GUALIVERE PASSAGEWAYPASSAGEWAY PASSED – 19/20COUNTDOWN [00:19:59] this is not an option“YOU MIGHT ESCAPE THE EMPERUM”‘Kiara fell to the ground as soon as the notification flashed on her eyes. It took just nine hours to complete a whole nine task and it left the two individual stressed out. However Ghou on the other hand stood still on the ground, reading the text on the screen like it was a complete textbook.“I won’t die like this.. We won’t die like this.” His red and baggy eyes revealed determination as he said those words. Just as the notification wrote, the Escape Room could never be an option to escape and by the way, no wonder it was named Gualivere passageway, it was never a guaranteed escape room.“I think we can now only rely on Elbert and his wizardry.” Kiara said some seconds later a
Chapter 25 – Growing Threat The silence in the room was shortly interrupted with the revival of Kiara who jumped from the table like she had been conscious of the surrounding. “That trash.” She sparked like a leopard ready to tear its prey into pieces. After another seconds, she turned her gaze to Elbert who felt numb with the furious eyes from Kiara. “Anything wrong, Empress Mihou?” Kiara quickly ignored the question from Elbert and transferred her gaze to Ghou who stared at her like he already knew the reason for her temper. “Calm down, we’ll definitely find him sooner or later.” Ghou’s voice was still steady and elegant, even with all the incidents and Kiara’s blood curdling stare. “Elbert, is their a way for a dead to be amongst the living.” Elbert raised his brows immediately after listening to Kiara’s question that seem to have given her a bad temper, “Of course, don’t you know about spirit and ghosts. But however they can only stay in the physical p
Chapter 26 – Expensive Food In An Expensive Restaurant After walking a long distance in the streets, Ghou found himself in front of his small bungalow which looked sparkly clean even if it was the exterior appearance. Though Ghou was still bothered about Xia’s well being but he felt relieved when she came out of the house dressed like someone going to an expensive place.“Xia, I’m back.” Ghou startled Xia who turned around from the door with a terrified expression. After seeing that it was only Ghou, her face calmed down before unlocking the door since he was now around.“Oh, brother Ghou, I was about to get breakfast in a restaurant.” Ghou’s brow shot to the sky hearing her extravagant living. Why couldn’t she buy some bread or other snack to eat, but instead she was going to a restaurant. But he did not dare to caution her for the actions since he didn’t want to be seen as a rude caretaker. He had to swallow up his feelings.“Oh.. That’s nice. I also famished,
Chapter 27 – Intimidation Against Intimidation“He really is insane.”“Could you imagine anyone challenging Wu Wang generation, let alone of Wu Luau, their golden apple.” The whispering between the crowd drastically increased with most of them referring to Ghou as stupid or insane. The guard however upon hearing Ghou’s words clenched his fist until it was at its tightest before turning to his gaze to Wu Luau whose face popped veins as he glared at him. Xia on the other side was already shivering with fright due to Ghou’s rude reply to all their questions.‘Is brother Ghou going to embarrass himself, we should have never come here.’After some minutes of silence in the restaurant, Ghou smiled and sat on his seat, “I’ll take the silence as an approval.”“You junk....” Young master Wu Luau shouted in rage as he tried to lay an insult on the stranger who looked around similar age with him, but he mouth was speechless.“Are you two still standing here… teach that thing som
Chapter 28 – You’ll Only Damage Your Core-shell Ghou’s face boiled red hearing the abusive but truthful words from Alistar who continued to blunder without a care in the world. After bearing more of the insult, he stood up and went in his room, where he met the skill book lying on the beside-bed-table.Without further ado, he picked it up and ran to the parlor where he began to stroll through the pages, searching skill that were even more powerful skills in the Emperor or Primal level.“Oh! A skill book, thanks the heavens, you still have hope.” Alistar uncurled himself from Ghou’s waist with his interest wrapped around the book.“I thought you were at the peak of Advanced level, why are you going for the King Petal and above.”Ghou immediately frowned at the words and turned his daze to Alistar, “I thought I’m in the low level King Petal.”“Then you’re wrong. I’ve lived since your ancestors were born, and I’d never mistaken anyone’s level.” Ghou immediately i
Chapter 29 – Suspicious Guard Ghou arrived at the Palace some minutes later where he met more than a dozen guards arranged in a neat order, silently listening to Kiara who stood on a low podium where she gave a seeming long speech.Ghou who suddenly got embarrassed for being late stood at the end row of the guards who were all dressed in bronze body amour and face-covering helmets.“Alistar, could you check the ability level of these guards.” He muttered to Alistar some seconds later, immediately gaining the attention of the other guards that stood in front of him. After some seconds Alistar finally replied, “Most of them are below the peak of Cogue, I only noticed one of them being at low King level.”“Humm, maybe he’s the head guard or something.” Ghou immediately ignored the guard who stood in the front row with his facial expression hidden in his helmet.“I think you should ask Kiara about this.” Alistar replied some moment later as he couldn’t get his gaze away from t
Chapter 30 – You Have A Wife “I’ll try to get him since I can see through the fog.” Alistar immediately climbed down from Ghou’s waist and walked into the fog even without any permission. Without thinking twice, Ghou ran into the fog even as he could not see properly. Within mere second, he abruptly began to bump on poles and the guards who stood confused in the fog. After more than a minute, the place began to return normal until everyone could finally see themselves. “So… he really wasn’t innocent.” Ghou pondered to himself aimlessly staring at the dark clouds. Kiara walked up to him some seconds later and jerked him out of his trance with a light slap. “He really wasn’t innocent after all.” She pushed herself into the Palace along with Ghou who remained silent. “Where’s your pet?” Ghou immediately turned his gaze to his waist like he wasn’t aware of his disappearance. Not wanting to involve more suspicion or anything similar, he quickly made up a lie. “I think he ran to the

Alistar slowly walked towards the tightly closed door and only stopped when he stood directly in front of it. Beside the door was three different colored tube which became a mystery to him as he stared in awe. He turned his gaze to the golden dust of the animated mage some seconds later and back to on of the tube which was golden in color. ‘I don’t believe it.” He immediately transformed into his real form and hurried to pick a handful of the golden dust and poured it into the golden tube. A glow suddenly illuminated from the golden tube, but the door remained stiff almost as if nothing different happened. ‘Impossible, this isn’t possible.’ Alistar cried inwardly and immediately began to pound on the doo
Chapter 38 – Taboo Techniques Of course!, Alistar looked unfazed after the sudden regeneration from the immortal, after all, he expected it since one wasn’t likely to be called an immortal for no reason. “Quit trying petty creature, you’ll meet the same fate as your other species.” Alistar didn’t bother to ponder at his words and immediately transformed into one of the most feared and legendary beasts, a dragon. The immortal looked stunned for a while but immediately regained his consciousness by bursting into a disgusting laughter, “You can’t intimidate me with that look, pirate, you’ll always remain the weakling you are.” “And who ever told you that pirate are weakling, I’m only being nice towards you while trying to give you a painless death. Don’t ever push me to the edge, and remember you’ll always be a mere human.” The immortal was immediately stunned after hearing the menacing voice in his head. He immediately turned his gaze to his tight fist that began to turn golden.
Chapter 37 – Guest Fighters The mage gave an evil grin after seeing the transformation with seemed to fit his hidden aura. Within an instant, the mage raised his scepter while reciting a quote that remained unknown to Alistar who looked unfazed by his action. After standing for almost a minute without any interesting action, Alistar decided to give the first blow by flinging his silky muscle-build tail to the animated mage who remained calm with his dark eyes wide opened. When Alistar’s tail made contact with the man skin, he instantly felt a sharp pain that felt like he was being stung by millions of needles. Even at that, the mage also felt similar pain as the force sent from the tail would be enough to shatter his skeleton with one blow, but fortunately, he used the ‘Adamantine technique’ which had the capability to strengthen his skin. “Humm.” The animated mage finally gave a word with shivers running down his spine. Even with the Adamantine skin, he shivered to the force of t
Chapter 36 – Three Inscriptions“You haven’t told me your name..” Alistar asked a few minutes after they began walking through the tunnel.“Leah! What about you.”“I’m Alistar. So, have you ever tried leaving the realm?”“Just once, and it wasn’t successful at all.”The place remained silent for a while as they walked non-stop through the seemingly endless tunnel. When the mother Oxyl, Leah got too bored of the unbearable silence and decided to start a conversation.“There were monsters, should I say predators in here when I tried so I didn’t go this far.”“Monsters, predator?” Alistar immediately gave a halt and turned to Leah who had a weird smile, “Do you mean real monsters live here.”“When last I checked, yes. But they might all be dead or tired of living here by now.” Alistar turned around and continued his journey but now with a curious mindset. After walking for almost one mile, they decided to rest on the thick metallic steel that strengthene
Chapter 35 – Way Of The Ju-Jung Realm Alistar could not help but feel irritated after hearing the words from the mother Oxyl. He felt like running away for his life but controlled his urge since he actually didn’t know anything severe about the Ju-Jung realm.“Don’t worry, I and my kids are already stuffed with other creatures. And by the way, we have a home full of free food.”Alistar heaved a loud sigh of relief after hearing the statement, but even at that, he felt pity for the species. Some minutes later the mother Oxyl continued, “Now about the bullet-python. You should be aware that they only eat rodents and other small creatures… in the past. But due to the realm condition, they will risk attacking even a dragon..”“Have they gone nuts?” Alistar interrupted the mother Oxyl's speech that sent a feeling of goosebumps especially when the explanation made it clear that the realm was a suicide case.“Some of them... And why they have an advantage for creatures like us
Chapter 34 – One Mommy Oxyl Ghou stood motionless in front of his door staring at the talisman that suddenly flew to his palm. He turned his gaze once again to the position of the carriage but unfortunately, it was long gone. “What is this? Since when was there a Winterfoe kingdom?” “I’m definitely going to try it out.” “Thank the heavens for this kingdom, the empire is really becoming a risky place. Winterfoe kingdom here I come.” These were the words of the people around the scene with most of them having a bright face and only few of them making any reasonable comments. ‘I must inform Kiara about this nuisance, how can a so-called king lower himself to the stage of going into kingdoms and empires looking for citizens!’ Ghou felt disgusted with the ill action that was considered inappropriate by many. With that in mind, he flew into the room to take a quick bath and other things necessary before going to the Palace. *** Thud! Thud! Alistar continuously bangs on the door
Chapter 33 – Wei Bei Bei Days quickly turned into weeks and Alistar found himself stranded in the temple that didn’t make the slightest movement.“No… No, somebody help.” Alistar screamed at the door and immediately transformed into a huge creature before pounding on the door that easily absorbed all his movements, not even bulging any parts of it. After transforming into a dozen of heavy-weighted creatures, Alistar finally fell to the cold floor of the temple in an exhausted manner.‘Such bad luck… Somebody, please come.” After his words, he immediately closed his eyes and fell asleep, after all, he had to regain his lost Mana. Meanwhile, in the real world, Ghou stood outside the wall of the empire handling the Grimm Reaper long-sword casually in his palm, almost like it was a normal weapon.1 minute….5 minutes….12 minutes….20 minutes... Finally, Ghou could see two magical beasts approaching him from the forest. Although i
Chapter 32 – The Ju-Jung Realm‘Humm! So you’re Jiang Lang eh.’ Alistar who had been watching Senior Jiang Lang from the sky thought with a happy heart especially since he’d suddenly gained a vital information, now leaving only the name of the realm to banter with his curiosity.Though he was more than aware of the place being a realm, but there were more than a hundred realm around the globe that were only differentiated with their name. So therefore, without much options, Alistar decided to follow Senior Jiang Lang to his unknown destination while remaining in a low key. After what seemed to be over two hours, Senior Jiang Lang stood before the fancy looking temple that emitted a suffocating aura that could only be ignored by a King level individual. Some seconds later, a bright formation of different symbols appeared underneath his feet followed by a loud trembling sound that shortly followed after the temple’s camouflaged door flung open within an instance.
Chapter 31 – Grimm Reaper Long Sword Ghou grabbed the long-sword some minutes later and immediately began to fantasize on the mighty weight of the weapon. “Is it supposed to weight like this.” Ghou complained some minutes later when the weight eventually surpassed him even to the extent of pulling him towards the ground. Elbert nodded his head in disgust before saying any word, “Swing the sword while you can.” With those words, Ghou summoned all his strength, lifting the sword off the ground and immediately swinging recklessly in the air. After swinging the sword continuously for almost a whole minute, Ghou felt the weight reduce into that’s of a feather. A smile immediately appeared on his face with the idea of him able to handle the sword effortlessly, but unfortunately he couldn’t feel anything more. “I learnt it?” A frown replaced the bright smile on his face some seconds later as he stared in a fit of rage at the sword, “There’s suppose to be a glow, r
