Chapter 28 – You’ll Only Damage Your Core-shell
Ghou’s face boiled red hearing the abusive but truthful words from Alistar who continued to blunder without a care in the world. After bearing more of the insult, he stood up and went in his room, where he met the skill book lying on the beside-bed-table.
Without further ado, he picked it up and ran to the parlor where he began to stroll through the pages, searching skill that were even more powerful skills in the Emperor or Primal level.
“Oh! A skill book, thanks the heavens, you still have hope.” Alistar uncurled himself from Ghou’s waist with his interest wrapped around the book.
“I thought you were at the peak of Advanced level, why are you going for the King Petal and above.”
Ghou immediately frowned at the words and turned his daze to Alistar, “I thought I’m in the low level King Petal.”
“Then you’re wrong. I’ve lived since your ancestors were born, and I’d never mistaken anyone’s level.”
Ghou immediately ignored his words and continued with the book. After some more time, he settled with a skill with the name of ‘Scholar Reigns’ which possessed the ability to transform fire into any solid weapon.
“You’ll only end up damaging your Core-shell if you continue. You better find something more suitable for your level.”
“Damage my Core-shell, but how is that possible.” Ghou gasped glaring at Alistar whose gaze was fixed in the content of the book, “And if you aren’t aware, I’ve learnt a Petal King and advanced ability from this same book.”
“Did you perfect the Petal King skill like the advanced one? Or you were too lazy to learn any of them?”
With those words, Ghou was quick to recall the incident that happened when he tried to use the grasping thread.
“Not well, but the advanced level was not so perfect either.” Ghou lied, not wanting to be won over by Alistar who he could only describe as a pet, or rather creature.
“Just don’t damage your Core-shell, else you’ll be restricted to use Mana until you repair it.”
“I’ll just be vigilant and learn Advanced level and below. But the book didn’t write their sub-level.”
Alistar’s long face gave a frown hearing the ignorant question when he could see the sub-level at the tip of his eyes
Without a word, he touched the bold written word which was opposite the level of ability with one of his sparkling claws, “Look, this one is a medium Primal ability. Your eyes aren’t work, ehh.”
“Then I get to work imm..”
“Are you alright?” Alistar’s sharp voice sounded like a gunshot in Ghou’s brains, especially when he suddenly gave out an angry aura
“Sorry, I wasn’t going to learn it.” The victim suddenly began to scroll through the page of the book until he landed on a low Couge leveled ability
“Why can’t you go for something more interesting and powerful, look the name is so…”
“Fire spray, I still need it in case of ordinary fight, I can’t even myself every time I have a minor fight.”
“I understand.” Alistar sighed before curling himself in Ghou’s waist one again.
“First step is to learn the postures and whatever, I need to learn this today.”
“Today… are you insane, no human could ever learn a skill in a day, at least seven day for a beginner skill.” Alistar drew his head out of it former position and proceeded to stare in his eyes.
“Or, have you learnt a skill in that duration before.”
“Of course, all the ability I know today were in one day, except from the fire vein my dad thought me.”
Without a word, Alistar prepared to return to his previous position as Ghou began to practice the postures as well as their rules.
After many minutes, Xia came into room where she met Ghou comfortable situated in a lotus position. Not wanting to disturb him, she immediately returned to the bedroom to take a nap.
‘
Half the day passed and Ghou finally learnt all the postures and body movements which were necessary to perfect the ability and its effect.
Without wasting another of his time, he went ahead to practice more of the hand and fingers technique movement. When he was on the middle of completing the hand technique, a slight ray of flames flew from his hands, leaving him to smile with excitement and Alistar to stare in confusion.
‘So it was true anyways.’ Alistar thought almost feeling jealous at Ghou who was seemingly a fast learner. But just when he was about to rest his head, the hand techniques and posture from the book flooded his brain as it gave him suspicion if his speed on learning the skill were only due to those factors.
After another long minutes of training, Ghou was finally able to summon a huge spray of flames that lasted as long as he wanted.
“So there we have, Fire spray has been completed.” Ghou fell to the couch almost exhausted with all the hard work. When he realized that it was already night time, he laid on the furniture and immediately fell asleep.

“Brother Ghou, wake up. It’s already noon.”
Those were the first words Ghou heard when he woke up from his slumber. Then he saw a feminine figure that gradually began to shape into a girl who was vividly Xia.
“Brother Ghou, it’s already noon.” She lightly tapped on his cheeks after seeing the reluctance look in Ghou’s eyes.
“Ehh, it’s already noon.” Ghou immediately jumped from the couch after recalling Kiara words for him to be present at the Palace early in the morning.
He quickly ran to the bathroom when he had to do everything necessary. After almost thirty minutes, he went ahead to dress up in his guards uniform, startling Xia who sat down on the couch with a confused face.
When Ghou was done with everything, he proceeded to explain to Xia his whereabouts.
“Okay, brother Ghou. But when will you return.”
“Today, possibly today.”
Xia nodded after the brief explanation and left Ghou to make his way to the Palace.
Chapter 29 – Suspicious Guard Ghou arrived at the Palace some minutes later where he met more than a dozen guards arranged in a neat order, silently listening to Kiara who stood on a low podium where she gave a seeming long speech.Ghou who suddenly got embarrassed for being late stood at the end row of the guards who were all dressed in bronze body amour and face-covering helmets.“Alistar, could you check the ability level of these guards.” He muttered to Alistar some seconds later, immediately gaining the attention of the other guards that stood in front of him. After some seconds Alistar finally replied, “Most of them are below the peak of Cogue, I only noticed one of them being at low King level.”“Humm, maybe he’s the head guard or something.” Ghou immediately ignored the guard who stood in the front row with his facial expression hidden in his helmet.“I think you should ask Kiara about this.” Alistar replied some moment later as he couldn’t get his gaze away from t
Chapter 30 – You Have A Wife “I’ll try to get him since I can see through the fog.” Alistar immediately climbed down from Ghou’s waist and walked into the fog even without any permission. Without thinking twice, Ghou ran into the fog even as he could not see properly. Within mere second, he abruptly began to bump on poles and the guards who stood confused in the fog. After more than a minute, the place began to return normal until everyone could finally see themselves. “So… he really wasn’t innocent.” Ghou pondered to himself aimlessly staring at the dark clouds. Kiara walked up to him some seconds later and jerked him out of his trance with a light slap. “He really wasn’t innocent after all.” She pushed herself into the Palace along with Ghou who remained silent. “Where’s your pet?” Ghou immediately turned his gaze to his waist like he wasn’t aware of his disappearance. Not wanting to involve more suspicion or anything similar, he quickly made up a lie. “I think he ran to the
Chapter 31 – Grimm Reaper Long Sword Ghou grabbed the long-sword some minutes later and immediately began to fantasize on the mighty weight of the weapon. “Is it supposed to weight like this.” Ghou complained some minutes later when the weight eventually surpassed him even to the extent of pulling him towards the ground. Elbert nodded his head in disgust before saying any word, “Swing the sword while you can.” With those words, Ghou summoned all his strength, lifting the sword off the ground and immediately swinging recklessly in the air. After swinging the sword continuously for almost a whole minute, Ghou felt the weight reduce into that’s of a feather. A smile immediately appeared on his face with the idea of him able to handle the sword effortlessly, but unfortunately he couldn’t feel anything more. “I learnt it?” A frown replaced the bright smile on his face some seconds later as he stared in a fit of rage at the sword, “There’s suppose to be a glow, r
Chapter 32 – The Ju-Jung Realm‘Humm! So you’re Jiang Lang eh.’ Alistar who had been watching Senior Jiang Lang from the sky thought with a happy heart especially since he’d suddenly gained a vital information, now leaving only the name of the realm to banter with his curiosity.Though he was more than aware of the place being a realm, but there were more than a hundred realm around the globe that were only differentiated with their name. So therefore, without much options, Alistar decided to follow Senior Jiang Lang to his unknown destination while remaining in a low key. After what seemed to be over two hours, Senior Jiang Lang stood before the fancy looking temple that emitted a suffocating aura that could only be ignored by a King level individual. Some seconds later, a bright formation of different symbols appeared underneath his feet followed by a loud trembling sound that shortly followed after the temple’s camouflaged door flung open within an instance.
Chapter 33 – Wei Bei Bei Days quickly turned into weeks and Alistar found himself stranded in the temple that didn’t make the slightest movement.“No… No, somebody help.” Alistar screamed at the door and immediately transformed into a huge creature before pounding on the door that easily absorbed all his movements, not even bulging any parts of it. After transforming into a dozen of heavy-weighted creatures, Alistar finally fell to the cold floor of the temple in an exhausted manner.‘Such bad luck… Somebody, please come.” After his words, he immediately closed his eyes and fell asleep, after all, he had to regain his lost Mana. Meanwhile, in the real world, Ghou stood outside the wall of the empire handling the Grimm Reaper long-sword casually in his palm, almost like it was a normal weapon.1 minute….5 minutes….12 minutes….20 minutes... Finally, Ghou could see two magical beasts approaching him from the forest. Although i
Chapter 34 – One Mommy Oxyl Ghou stood motionless in front of his door staring at the talisman that suddenly flew to his palm. He turned his gaze once again to the position of the carriage but unfortunately, it was long gone. “What is this? Since when was there a Winterfoe kingdom?” “I’m definitely going to try it out.” “Thank the heavens for this kingdom, the empire is really becoming a risky place. Winterfoe kingdom here I come.” These were the words of the people around the scene with most of them having a bright face and only few of them making any reasonable comments. ‘I must inform Kiara about this nuisance, how can a so-called king lower himself to the stage of going into kingdoms and empires looking for citizens!’ Ghou felt disgusted with the ill action that was considered inappropriate by many. With that in mind, he flew into the room to take a quick bath and other things necessary before going to the Palace. *** Thud! Thud! Alistar continuously bangs on the door
Chapter 35 – Way Of The Ju-Jung Realm Alistar could not help but feel irritated after hearing the words from the mother Oxyl. He felt like running away for his life but controlled his urge since he actually didn’t know anything severe about the Ju-Jung realm.“Don’t worry, I and my kids are already stuffed with other creatures. And by the way, we have a home full of free food.”Alistar heaved a loud sigh of relief after hearing the statement, but even at that, he felt pity for the species. Some minutes later the mother Oxyl continued, “Now about the bullet-python. You should be aware that they only eat rodents and other small creatures… in the past. But due to the realm condition, they will risk attacking even a dragon..”“Have they gone nuts?” Alistar interrupted the mother Oxyl's speech that sent a feeling of goosebumps especially when the explanation made it clear that the realm was a suicide case.“Some of them... And why they have an advantage for creatures like us
Chapter 36 – Three Inscriptions“You haven’t told me your name..” Alistar asked a few minutes after they began walking through the tunnel.“Leah! What about you.”“I’m Alistar. So, have you ever tried leaving the realm?”“Just once, and it wasn’t successful at all.”The place remained silent for a while as they walked non-stop through the seemingly endless tunnel. When the mother Oxyl, Leah got too bored of the unbearable silence and decided to start a conversation.“There were monsters, should I say predators in here when I tried so I didn’t go this far.”“Monsters, predator?” Alistar immediately gave a halt and turned to Leah who had a weird smile, “Do you mean real monsters live here.”“When last I checked, yes. But they might all be dead or tired of living here by now.” Alistar turned around and continued his journey but now with a curious mindset. After walking for almost one mile, they decided to rest on the thick metallic steel that strengthene
